0:06 with its Factory tuning and data center DNA an Intel 730 series SSD is an
0:11 amazing choice for gamers and performance enthusiasts welcome to Handy
0:16 Tech under $100 episode three where I give very brief overviews of Gizmo's
0:22 gadgets and gear that I or someone in the lineus tech tips crew here has been
0:26 using lately and has been coming in handy for us so first
0:30 is something that I should have gotten a long time ago these things are only a
0:35 few bucks and if you've ever lost like
0:39 one screw one screw while working on
0:44 something like a notebook or a phone where it's basically impossible to
0:48 replace them once they're gone then you owe yourself one of these I actually
0:53 picked up two different kinds of magnetic Parts trays the first one is
0:57 the aptly named taan magnetic Parts tray
1:00 and the second is the sensually named tekon 9 in magnetic Parts tray it keeps
1:07 your nuts and small tools within reach
1:11 it sounds less like Parts tray and more like parte know what I'm saying anyway
1:16 functionally they're both pretty similar you put metal objects in
1:20 them that is to say metal objects containing iron nickel or Cobalt and
1:24 they well most of them okay that's not actually that doesn't have iron in it
1:28 and they stick so you don't lose them they've got sweet rubber bases on them
1:33 so they don't move around on the table while you're working and in case you
1:36 want them to be really secure the bottom is magnetic too so you can actually
1:40 stick the entire thing to a vertical metal surface if you want to I've only
1:46 had them for a little while but they've already saved my bacon a couple of times
1:51 even once when I forgot to use it and had to pick up some screws that I had
1:55 already dropped on the carpet just go like this love these things number two
2:00 today is something that I actually personally can't use comply brand ear
2:06 tips are available in a variety of styles and for a wide variety of
2:11 different inar headphones they're made of super soft memory foam and they
2:15 completely replace the cheap silicone ones that usually come with your
2:19 earphones with the goal of improving Comfort outside noise isolation and
2:24 sound quality particularly at the low end where bass is concerned now I said I
2:30 can't use them but it's not because I don't want to or because they don't work
2:35 with my old steel series flux inar Pro earphones they had all of the intended
2:40 effects and I loved them with my only complaint being that they wear out
2:44 faster than the silicone Alternatives and need to be replaced much more
2:47 frequently with my Sennheiser ie80s the
2:51 drivers are much larger and even the
2:54 smallest comply tips which I usually find to be about equivalent to one size
2:59 up for for a silicone tip just don't fit in my ears well enough for me to use
3:03 them properly so the way you're supposed
3:06 to use them is you squish them up insert them into the ear canal and let them
3:10 expand for a really nice seal but I just can't squish them enough to get them to
3:15 really get in there very well edzel on the other hand swears by them and he
3:20 stocks up on them every once in a while to the point where he just refuses to
3:23 use normal ones so check out their earphone finder pick the series you like
3:28 they range in price for my earphones from about $4 to $6 per pair of tips and
3:33 then pick a color you like and you are good to go item number three is
3:38 something that I've had sitting on my need to make a video about this list for
3:42 quite some time now I would have said not long ago that nothing can really be
3:47 done to improve SATA cables not so with
3:51 the cp11 SATA cable Silverstone has solved a fundamental problem with the
3:56 way that many motherboards have their SATA connectors positioned this is a
4:00 right angle connector and it's great because no components will be installed
4:04 over top of it this is a regular connector one that's more frequently
4:09 found on small high-end boards and
4:12 normal siiz mid-range or low-end boards
4:15 and the problem with them is that they can interfere with things like graphics
4:21 cards making many of the SATA ports on your motherboard potentially useless the
4:26 cp11 has a remarkably thin cable for easy management and a head that is so
4:31 low profile that you can actually populate an entire Bank of plugs
4:36 directly under an expansion card so you can use your motherboard to its full
4:40 potential not the kind of thing I generally make a dedicated video about
4:44 but definitely something to keep in mind next time you're working on a small form
4:48 factor machine and are having trouble with cable management speaking of
4:52 management I was having trouble figuring out where to put all the cool t-shirts
4:55 that I got from being part of the 54 Club so I wore them all at once
5:00 as you probably noticed throughout this video 54 service is incredibly cool you
5:04 sign up in under a minute so you don't have to worry about shopping anymore
5:09 they send you $120 or more worth of clothes every month and to be a member
5:14 you only pay $60 per month well lonus
5:18 how do I know they won't send me something that makes no sense and
5:21 doesn't go with the rest of the Wardrobe I'm building from their site great
5:24 question you submit your preferences during the sign up process and your own
5:28 personal style picks out new clothes for you every month so you can always look
5:33 great without dealing with the vulture I mean uh salese in traditional clothing
5:38 stores sign up for the club today at bit lee/ Linus FFC which is linked in the
5:43 video description and you can save 15 bucks on your first month that's $120
5:47 worth of clothing for 45 bucks give being de-stressed and well-dressed a
5:52 shot thanks for watching this third installment of Handy tech for $100 or
5:56 less as usual with these I'll do my full disclosure bit so I bought the magnetic
6:00 screw holders on Amazon because I'm sick of losing screws uh while the other two
6:04 were sent to me to try out and I didn't pay for them the comply tips definitely
6:09 merited a mention because edzel has been harassing me to do a dedicated video of
6:14 these since I hired them and they really are better than the ones that come with
6:18 your earphones in all likelihood as for the SATA cables I ended up doing a video
6:23 on these because while I told Silverstone that go ahead and send them
6:27 I'll use them for builds but I'm not going to do video they' have come in
6:30 handy quite a few times for me already so I figured you know what hey this is
6:34 something that's come in handy for me maybe it'll come in handy for you guys
6:37 thanks as always for watching guys as usual the link to pricing and availability for all this stuff is
6:42 linked in the video description below the like dislike and share buttons which I'd love for you to use accordingly also
6:46 in the video description is's a support link where you can buy a t-shirt give us a monthly contribution or change your
6:51 Amazon bookmark so we get an affiliate kick back whenever you buy stuff it
