0:00 okay so this has been extraordinarily cryptic there's something behind me that
0:05 I have not been allowed to see I've have not been allowed to hear about and all I
0:10 know about it is that it does not include any manner of pyrot Technics so
0:17 fortunately I brought my own
0:27 woo oh it's really heavy
0:31 oh it's it's dirty oh my
0:36 goodness hey lonus do you know where the materials used to make your devices come
0:42 from
0:47 no there are minerals in almost every
0:50 piece of technology you
0:54 own how do you think these four minerals
0:57 ended up in your device I feel like I was supposed to read
1:02 something before that oh tin here we go it's tin that's just a rock rock rock
1:11 another rock dirt that looks like a
1:14 rock ooh titanium this is like the
1:17 badasses mineral see this rock actually looks like a hunk of metal so let's
1:21 start arranging these I feel like a
1:24 scientist lus it's tantum tantum not
1:28 titanium I informed that says says tantalum not titanium like what do I do
1:32 do I just all right that's it had enough
1:35 of
1:42 this okay I think I'm oh
1:46 sick
1:51 gold oh there we go and
1:55 tungsten okay so this seems to be the
1:58 next piece some of these minerals came from mines in the Congo where innocent
2:03 people are being threatened by
2:08 Warlords you can help
2:55 chck it chck it think
3:00 sh it it sh
3:04 it sh it it
3:32 interesting so there's one last piece of
3:40 this very cool I had no idea I'm
3:44 surprised that they weren't talking about this right when they were
3:47 releasing this stuff okay so this is a
3:51 latest generation Broadwell e core i7 of
3:55 of some sort here and so tin often used
3:59 as a replacement for lead uh which is good by the way uh the gold which is
4:04 used for the pins um as well as I think some other components because of its
4:10 non-corroding nature uh tantalum the key
4:13 ingredient in tantalum capacitors so uh solid state capacitors and tungsten used
4:19 to conduct electricity and integrated circuits and metallic films all of these
4:23 are now Conflict Free wow that is very cool I have to say
4:28 I was expecting for this video something
4:31 more along the lines of like U like a Space Capsule or Master System like some
4:37 kind of um some kind of a Cheesy sort of marketing message but this is actually
4:42 much more serious and actually really important so thank you guys very much
4:47 for watching this unboxing of well sort
4:50 of a core I 769 50x but much more
4:53 importantly the materials that it is actually composed of so I think that
5:00 pretty much wraps it up as always if you want to buy a conflict free processor
5:03 you'll find a link to pricing and availability in the video description if
5:07 you want to subscribe to our videos you can do that if you liked this video guys
5:11 please do hit that like button maybe give it a share cuz this is pretty
5:14 important for not just Intel but other participants in the uh electronics
5:18 Industry who I think we can all agree could do a better job both on the
5:22 mineral side and the labor side of things of making their devices uh less
5:26 harmful to the world that we live in so thanks again for watching and we'll see
5:30 you guys next time
