0:00 one line of tech tips video two keyboards is it a showdown no it's
0:05 actually not but I'm going to highlight what these keyboards do differently from
0:09 each other and what they do differently from the rest of the keyboards on the
0:12 market treat that like button down there like the big red button that you see in
0:16 a movie or video game and press it if you'd like to see a video on the r9390x
0:31 freshbooks is the super simple invoicing solution that lets you get organized

0:40 free let's start with the strafe from Corsair first off I need to check out
0:45 these two videos from lonus if you haven't seen them yet there are his
0:49 reviews on the Corsair k70 and the Corsair k70 RGB they're very important
0:55 com for comparative reasons because the k70 is currently $110 on
1:01 newegg.com and the MSRP of the strafe is
1:05 also $110 that price could change but they're the same for now the k70 and the
1:11 strafe both have cherrymx switches they both have USB passrs they both have
1:16 textured and contoured key caps for a few certain Keys although they're
1:20 different ones the strafe leans more towards MOA uh they both have 100% anti-
1:25 ghosting technology and they both have enhanced easy access multimedia control
1:29 controls so what's different the k70 has
1:32 a wrist rest the k70 is multimedia controls are amazing the volume control
1:37 has a wonderful metal scroll wheel that feels great to operate and most of the
1:41 controls have their own dedicated button for easy access the strafe is mostly
1:46 based around a function key outside of just brightness and a lock button the
1:50 k70 has an amazing aluminum construction and it looks great it adds a lot to the
1:55 structural rigidity of the keyboard and the strafe does not have that it's
1:59 mostly plas construction but is it all bad news no not at all the trfe has some
2:04 really cool stuff the k70 doesn't have the hardware inside it in order to work
2:08 with Q software which enables users to program each key with automated macros
2:13 this comes from the k70 RGB but that has
2:16 a huge price increase the other thing that it inherits from the RGB is an
2:20 enhanced lighting controller lighting modes on the k70 were maybe a bit rather
2:25 boring but the strafe has six unique lighting effects built in and the
2:29 ability for the user to craft their own this also includes downloading lighting
2:33 themes off the Corsair gaming.com website and it's not just a better
2:38 lighting controller behind your keys is a red back plate which will enhance the
2:42 quality of your back lighting effects pretty cool moving on we have the MX
2:47 board 6.0 from Cherry this is a fairly standard looking keyboard the beautiful
2:51 aluminum housing is coated so your oily hands won't ruin it which is great and
2:56 the awesome Magnetic wrist rest Clicks in very easily is a great size and feels
3:01 very comfy but outside of those things and some slightly shorter than normal
3:05 key caps it looks fairly standard at first one technology that cherry put
3:09 into this board and as of this point doesn't really seem too interested into
3:12 giving to other people is their RK technology also known as real key the
3:18 goal of real key is reducing the lag within the keyboard from about 20
3:21 milliseconds for a key press to 1 millisecond and a mechanical version of
3:26 switch debouncing all of this is compared to the standard m scanning
3:30 method what the hell am I talking about well every time that you press a key
3:35 your keyboard has to figure out that you pressed it and which one it was The
3:39 Matrix scanning method checks all the pins on your board with a specific
3:42 current and then directs all of that using a bunch of diodes back to the
3:47 controller which in takes the X and Y AIS and then it can figure out which one
3:50 you press real key technology doesn't use diodes and connects everything
3:54 together directly to the controller but this time a unique voltage is sent to
3:59 each pin and the controller will use the final total voltage to determine which
4:03 switch was pressed down this in theory
4:08 is a huge Improvement and I think it's super cool don't get me wrong but I
4:12 didn't personally really notice a difference I would like to do more
4:16 testing here but that would require more scientific equipment than I currently
4:20 have my hands on so maybe we can look into that in the future but it's not a
4:25 huge very drastically noticeable change
4:29 in conclusion the keyboard battle is ever expanding and two new strong
4:33 players have entered the game they're both on the Cherry team but they have
4:37 their own unique offerings one with fantastic liting control and the other
4:41 is faster than ever which do you choose
4:45 Mast drop has another one of their pretty killer deals going on today the
4:48 Sennheiser urbanite XLS are currently available over there at a whopping
4:54 $15 off the MSRP these do have a more
4:58 base focused frequency respon so they're a bit of a new generation sound meat
5:03 storied Sennheiser engineering type of product of course this product is
5:07 available only through Mast drop at this significantly discounted price thanks to
5:10 their group bu model especially uh essentially the more people that buy the
5:15 more the price goes down to a set minimum with its minimum price being
