oh I lost okay so I've been asked for a
0:31
uh a demonstration video of the ocz uh
0:34
Nia or neural impulse actuator and um so
0:39
this is a as a bit of a practical demonstration of how the Nia can allow
0:44
me to control this paddle using uh what
0:48
a control that they call tension so I found I'm able to control my tension uh
0:53
not very well while I'm talking but I can usually control my tension either by
0:57
raising my brow or lowering it or also by by clenching my
1:05
jaw so that allows me to control the paddle and direct the ball back towards
1:12
the computer player using only
1:16
um like only U like actions and and
1:20
thoughts uh there's actually some other pretty cool stuff in here and I just
1:24
wanted to show you this one this is part of their driver so I tried a few things
1:29
and I I I wish I'd done this on camera cuz it was pretty neat but one of the
1:33
things that I tried was eating and I found that when I when I was eating my
1:37
whole brain kind of went nuts and all of the uh all of the different brain waves
1:42
all maxed out but um okay some of the controls that you can use with the Nia
1:47
to control your games are attenion so um
1:50
I found ways to control that I think it's different for for everybody another
1:54
one is glance so ocz recommends using
1:57
glance and here cameraman come out have a look at me so what glance does is here
2:02
if I look straight ahead glance should zero out can you see glance in the
2:06
background uh make it so you can see glance in the background okay so I'm
2:10
going to stare straight into the camera now watch I'm going to look a little bit to the left of the
2:15
camera glance goes up and then if I look to the right then glance will also go up
2:20
now the Nia can actually tell whether I'm glancing left or right so ocz
2:25
recommends setting glance to strafe left and strafe right and then they recommend
2:29
using 10 to control your forward movement now I haven't found I've only
2:33
been playing with it for a little while I haven't found ways to control the
2:36
alpha waves or the beta waves but you can actually configure those to control
2:41
other things as well and when you're playing neong you can uh this is a good
2:45
practice because you can use glance alpha 1 two 3 or beta 1 2 3 or tension
2:51
to control the paddle so if I use glance
2:57
if I glance more if I look around more the paddle raises up and if I look
3:01
straight ahead the paddle goes down so uh that's
3:05
the Nia it hooks up to your head and then to your computer and you can use it
3:10
to uh to control things so that was my
3:13
uh my demonstration video I don't think I'm good enough with it yet to do a game
3:17
demo but hopefully that'll be coming sometime in the future it's definitely a
3:21
uh a very cool device something very different
