DH Drive air ae400 welcome to my unboxing of something that's kind of
0:17
overdue this is primo chill's primoflex Advanced LRT tubing and the reason this
0:22
is overdue is because this is the only tubing that I've been willing to use um
0:27
actually ever since the original primoflex RT since it launched it is
0:32
Head and Shoulders better than anything else I've ever used for a number of
0:36
reasons that uh are particularly of importance to me so first of all what
0:40
you get in the box is one of their CIS prep additives so you add that to your
0:45
liquid before you fire up the loop this didn't used to come with the old LRT but
0:49
it does come with Advanced LRT cuz they've changed the technology a little bit so I'm going to go through the
0:53
reasons why I think this tubing is awesome and then I'll go through why primoflex thinks it's awesome so number
0:58
one I think it's awesome all LRT stands for low radius technology and that
1:03
basically is the blend of uh substances
1:06
that they use to make this stuff that makes it extremely resistant to kinking
1:10
so you can even get right down there to a very tight Bend radius without it
1:14
kinking and restricting water flow this is a very desirable trait for tubing
1:19
number two is the fact that it doesn't have any visible random branding or
1:22
anything on it so there's no markings or anything like that it's extremely clean
1:26
looking in your Loop no matter what speaking of extremely clean looking it
1:30
stays looking pretty much like the day you bought it until I don't I don't know
1:35
I'm I'm up to 2 years with some of the tubing in my system without actually
1:40
changing it and that means like taking it apart and putting it back together and actually reusing tubing CU I was
1:44
just like oh this stuff's still good because it's still nice and pliable uh
1:48
that's another thing some tubings can Harden over time and get to the point
1:52
where particularly with compression fittings or Barb fittings they'll
1:55
they'll completely deform and lose their shape they'll be too hard too stiff to
1:58
really use them anymore stays impliable also it stays clear and the UV reactive
2:03
effect stays strong so Advanced LRT has been changed over the original LRT and
2:08
it's added a very very smooth inner wall
2:11
that primoflex claims causes fewer less
2:14
junk to build up on the inside and makes it less likely for microbe growth so
2:18
they've still added this CIS prep additive but it no longer has the
2:22
antimicrobial coating that used to be in the original LRT so other reasons why
2:27
primoflex thinks that it's good so glasslike trans Arcy actually their
2:30
clear is very clear it's available in a variety of colors which you can see here
2:34
Onyx Black elegant white crystal clear Bloodshed red and Brilliant UV Blue I
2:38
know they used to have green I hope they still have green cuz their green was
2:42
really nice uh Superior UV transmission which is true logo free inter wall
2:46
resilience environmentally responsible safe and non-toxic product okay that I
2:50
actually didn't know so there you go guys oh here are the available sizes so
2:54
1/ in thick wall 7/16 inch sort of
2:57
medium wall 3/8 thick wall and 38 thin
3:01
wall tubings are all available the only tubing sizes that to me really matter
3:04
are 3/8 in ID 5/8 in od cuz that gives
3:07
you better compatibility on your blocks for things like wide compression
3:11
fittings and then if you really want that bling bling huge look with massive
3:15
tubing then half inch ID 3/4 in od is
3:19
still very relevant as well one of the other reasons I like 38 ID 5/8 OD so
3:24
that's what I'm using here that's thick wall 38 is because this is the one that
3:27
actually gets that best Bend radius and still allowing enough water flow so
3:31
you've got that much room for water to flow and a huge thick wall around it
3:35
which means you can really make really tight turns if you have to get like from
3:39
one fitting to another and you got to kind of do that with it so thank you for
3:42
checking out my unboxing and first look at Primo Flex well it's not my first
3:45
look I've been using this stuff for years but at their Advanced LRT tubing
