0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of CES 2015 is brought to you by Phantom glass visit
0:04 store. phantom.in screen protectors out there
0:08 as well as hyperx now one of the main focuses at
0:12 the Intel Booth isn't strictly speaking a a a product that you buy like an Intel
0:17 real sense g520 JQ or anything like that it's a
0:22 technology that they want to see embedded in devices that will enable new
0:26 kinds of functionality so what it is in essence is a depth sensing camera
0:31 technology as well as the processing voodoo magic that goes on behind it so
0:36 they've got a whack ton of demos here including in no particular order some
0:40 short range stuff like one where they scan your face and print you your very
0:45 own 3D laser etched prism block thing
0:49 with your face in it they can also capture your face and throw it on a
0:54 snowboarder for example so we got uh me
0:57 thrown onto a snowboarder making a silly face it only took about I don't know 20
1:02 30 seconds to get my face scanned and boom instant Avatar short range cameras
1:07 can also be used for things like gesture control so there was one that takes a
1:11 whole bunch of different points on your hand and allows you to make gestures to
1:14 control the game so I can control the ship by moving my hand around clench to
1:19 Fire release to stop firing and PE sign
1:22 to fire the old peace keeper missile at the enemies they've also got long range
1:27 Solutions so these are more useful for like whole body whole body Imaging so
1:33 with this one you can actually go ahead and sort of strike a pose and they've
1:37 got an array of cameras as well as a couple of different versions of screens
1:41 here that allow you to make a little snowman of yourself or stand and be like
1:46 a galactic body blowing up asteroids and
1:49 all kinds of cool stuff like that and then of course there's going to be the
1:53 more well practical stuff that most
1:56 people are going to find more useful on on a day-to-day basis so for example
2:01 gestures when interacting with your PC being able to write in the air it's all
2:05 fairly early stages right now but is an extremely exciting piece of technology
2:11 for the future and we had a lot of fun hanging around at the Intel booth just
2:15 playing around with all the cool demos things like lean back and forth to move
2:18 your character down a run awesome stuff Speaking of awesome stuff I want to give
