0:00 the Logitech g900 chaos Spectrum a wireless mouse that doesn't really care
0:04 about competing against other Wireless mice and chooses to pick a fight with
0:08 the big boys the wired mice it might even get a little offended if you say
0:13 for a wireless mouse when describing it
0:16 so how does it fair stay tuned to find
0:26 out tunnel bear is the easy to use VPN service that let's use the web as if
0:31 you're in 20 different countries learn more and try tunnel bear for free at the
0:34 link in the video description let's start with the sensor the g900 features
0:39 the pixart PMW 3366 this is a big deal even the
0:44 sticklers over on the esteemed overclock.net Forum voted in this poll
0:48 that they would mostly prefer the 3366 even beating out the 3310 edel Yago our
0:54 resident Counter-Strike guy stated that the 3366 felt true not affected in any
0:59 way by the Wireless and when he took flick shots he didn't feel like he was
1:03 aiming over or under that's a good thing something to worry about when making a
1:07 wireless mouse is the amount of power that you can deliver to the sensor from
1:11 the battery this power must be split also to things like the wireless
1:16 transmitter which you don't normally have to power not enough power to the
1:19 sensor poor performance not enough power to the wireless transmitter poor
1:23 performance just in a different way with input lag and whatnot this as far as
1:28 I've been told is because the 3366 was designed from the ground up as a
1:33 wireless sensor and has just been fully realized now that doesn't mean that it's
1:39 worse for Wired in any way at all that is not what I'm saying it just means
1:43 that it's great for both and not limited to one Speaking of the wireless
1:47 transmitter the highly optimized 2.4 GHz Connection in tandem with some design
1:52 decisions in terms of where the transmitter is located where the battery
1:56 is located in relation to where the transmitter is located and the various
2:00 materials used throughout the shell and other components through throughout the
2:04 entire build result in a very fast and supremely stable connection if you don't
2:09 believe me that's actually a good thing doubt all claims but coming soon we have
2:13 a tour of their design facility where they helped me Benchmark the wireless
2:17 transmitter against other competing Wireless mice using their Advanced
2:21 Equipment it's pretty cool for now their
2:24 results will be on screen and you'll just have to deal with that let's move
2:28 on to the click the left and right Mouse buttons are based on a mechanical pivot
2:32 design and also feature a spring tension system that ensure that you don't have
2:36 to bend any plastic in order to just press the button which you shouldn't
2:40 have to do and they also ensure that the response of the button returning home is
2:45 quite fast the included rron switches are also raised off of the main PCB onto
2:50 their own and put at a slight angle so the button is pressing directly onto the
2:54 switch and doesn't have to go through any other processes in order to actually
2:58 press the switch there are some complaints here mainly from edzel the
3:02 buttons do have a quite noticeable horizontal shift and lift slightly if
3:06 you pull up from under them I didn't notice the ladder of these issues but
3:10 edzel did because of the way that he holds his Mouse his fingers actually
3:14 reach slightly over the buttons and he uses the ledge there in order to
3:18 actually lift the mouse a fairly interesting way of holding it uh so take
3:22 that as you will for me I claw it which is fairly standard and I can feel the
3:26 horizontal shift every single time I move it left to right not great but I do
3:30 like the clicks overall and they feel satisfying and responsive physically
3:34 it's designed in a way that it looks sufficiently different and futuristic to
3:38 represent its design mentality but also holds enough of its Logitech
3:43 characteristics that you'd probably be able to identify it as a Logitech mouse
3:48 even if it was completely debadged its weight is pretty damn good at 107 G
3:53 compared to the steel series rival at 128 G and the g303 at 87 that's
3:59 comparing it to wired mice for a cable it has a micro USB connection and an
4:03 included 6t braided USB cable that feels
4:06 quite nice for when you need it to charge the mouse and maybe even play
4:10 with at the same time or to extend the receiver closer to your mouse using the
4:14 small included adapter the most is ambidextrous with swappable Magnetic
4:19 forward and back buttons and symmetrical
4:22 design it features a hyper fast scroll wheel but with a little bit of weight
4:27 shed by using a spoked design instead of
4:30 a solid design this further contributes to the lightweight overall construction
4:34 of the mouse the scroll wheel also features tilt inputs and is able to be
4:38 switched between click scrolling and free scrolling with the button featured
4:42 right behind it behind that button are DPI up and down buttons and indicator
4:46 LEDs to keep you from guessing the bottom of the most features six
4:49 individual feet placements and an onoff switch and another button that is used
4:54 to switch between onboard memory profiles which brings us conveniently to
4:58 the Logitech gaming software the software allows you to configure onboard
5:02 memory profiles which are helpful if you use computers that are not your own
5:06 profile configurations to bind various buttons to various things configure your
5:11 DPI set your report rate and tell the mouse what forward and back button
5:15 configuration you currently have due to the magnet setup then you have lighting
5:19 control where you can set lighting modes based on profiles which features solid
5:23 color color cycling and breathing modes
5:26 for all the various RGB colors that you could want then you come to the battery
5:30 settings which are my favorite personally it can tell you approximately
5:34 how much gaming time you have left and can change that estimation based on your
5:38 lighting preferences this resulted in me quickly turning off all of the lights
5:43 that were on the mouse and going for maximum possible time but I'm not really
5:48 the target audience for RGB anyways so
5:51 oh well also a estimate that they have
5:55 is 32 hours of usable Mouse currently
5:58 moving time per full charge which is
6:01 pretty sweet after that you have surface tuning for the various mous pad types
6:05 that you may be using a key press map which is probably a lot more applicable
6:09 on a keyboard than a mouse but is cool nonetheless when all is said and done I
6:14 can confidently say that this is the best wireless mouse that I have ever
6:17 personally used and that's kind of saying a lot because I used to be a
6:22 constant user of the Logitech G7 the one that had like those swappable battery
6:26 packs which I still actually kind of Miss cuz then you literally never have
6:30 to have it plugged in but I understand that that would add weight constraints and people want lighter mice whatever
6:34 don't worry about it I ditched that Mouse which was my favorite because of
6:39 wanting to be a better gamer and there was too much input lag and all this kind
6:42 of crap so I went for a Wired Mouse but I have always missed the freedom what I
6:47 appreciate about this mouse is that its
6:51 wireless transmitter delay is very low it's a extremely fast Mouse even beating
6:56 out some wired mice in terms of input which you can see in the video that's
7:00 coming soon when I Benchmark it using their specialized equipment The Click
7:03 input time is super fast the sensor is great it's it's I don't know I like it a
7:09 lot Mass drop is starting April strong with their best of mass drop sale if you
7:14 don't know who or what Mass drop is it's actually relatively simple Mass drop is
7:18 a group by system so essentially how that works is they set a different tiers
7:23 of pricing and depending on how many people buy something or agree to buy
7:28 something at a certain time that price will go down to a maximum level which is
7:32 kind of awesome it's the group by model but in a much easier package by mast
7:37 drop the sale features many products including their Royal Glam 60% wood
7:41 keyboard keyboard case in their Mech Keys section for $89.99 or essentially
7:46 10% off they also have custom art mop exclusive iixx C in their audio file
