0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of computex 2016 is brought to you by the Corsair
0:04 lap dog the gaming center that allows you to use a full-size keyboard and
0:07 mouse from your couch and by
0:11 MSI so we're here in the Corsair booth and they're showing off this is like
0:16 unbelievable I didn't even know these guys make memory anymore I mean it's
0:20 like keyboards This and like cases that
0:23 and guys like George coming in going we should do cases power supplies and
0:27 cooling well no no no this is a back to the RO product this right here is the
0:32 Dominator Platinum special edition ddr4
0:36 kit well kits there are actually two of them there's like a dark plated one and
0:40 a light plated one and the Vengeance LED
0:44 so I'm going to start with the Vengeance LED since that's the one that may
0:47 actually have some relevance to more than a handful of you they've taken
0:51 their Vengeance ID which is kind of that sort of sexy Corsair logo in the middle
0:56 and then accents on the outsides and they've added LED to them they're going
1:00 to be available in two different colors red and white to start and they support
1:05 a couple of different LED lighting modes so you can see here they're not RGB so
1:10 they don't cycle colors but they're able to kind of breathe and turn on and off
1:13 and stuff like that the software is very very beta right now but it's going to be
1:18 controllable through Corsair link and I
1:21 guess that's pretty much all there is to say about it there are dual Channel kits
1:25 and quad Channel kits available all the way up to frequency is as high as 4,300
1:29 meh now let's get on to the special edition
1:33 now I hate it when companies do a special edition that's basically just SE
1:39 and there's no sort of limited quantity because you know what the SE stands for
1:43 in those cases like well you you know
1:46 what the S is for an addition okay it's usually just like we need to sell this
1:51 thing um what what can we put on the box
1:55 SE terrible so no these are going to be limited to 500 units each only 500 units
2:03 will be available they will be individually numbered and these are a
2:06 dominator Platinum LED lit memory kit so
2:10 there's going to be a 4x8 for the quad Channel enthusiasts and a 2x6 for guys
2:16 running on the z170 platform and they are running at ddr4 3200 now no one in
2:22 the booth can confirm or deny this for me but I would speculate that if they
2:27 were doing a handpicked 500 unit run
2:30 that 3200 probably isn't the max that you could expect these to run at and
2:34 they are going to look absolutely sick in your system which as you guys
2:38 probably know is pretty much how I shop for memory these days now this this is
2:44 cool this is the MSI Corsair Seahawk GTX
2:51 1080 now they did a 980 TI before so
2:55 this isn't an entirely New Concept Corsair working on the cooler MSI I
3:00 working on the GPU itself and slapping all that together for a cool quiet
3:05 maximum overclocking gaming experience but the big difference this time is that
3:10 even though this product is kind of hiding in a corner in the booth because
3:16 they don't have a finalized PCB layout
3:19 they don't have finalized clock speeds I mean I wouldn't even be surprised if the
3:24 back plate graphic design isn't even finalized they are claiming that instead
3:29 of being 9 months late this time there are going to be two weeks after the
3:34 general availability of GTX 1080 graphics cards and ready to start
3:39 selling this puppy so thanks to the single 120 mm radiator and 120 mm fan
3:46 Corsair is saying look we are removing all the thermal limitations and while
3:50 NVIDIA was showing off clock speeds like 2 GHz at their launch event some folks
3:54 on water are seeing significantly higher
3:57 than that so thanks again to Corsair as
4:01 well as to MSI oh actually that's funny look at that this product is made
4:06 collaboratively by both of our sponsors for the show this year for bringing us
4:10 to computex Corsair's Big Thing They want me to draw your attention to is the
4:14 lap dog that couch mechanical keyboard
4:18 full mouse pad gaming experience and for MSI they want me to be chatting you guys
4:23 up about the agis X so that is their new
4:26 desktop as well as their new GTX 108
4:29 gaming X so that's obviously a GTX 1080
4:33 although personally I think this one's cooler but whatever don't miss any
4:39 lineus Tech tips computex coverage by making sure you're subscribed and I will
4:42 see you guys at the next booth
