0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of computex 2013 is powered by Western Digital our
0:04 trusted gaming gear partner is Corsair Vengeance and our trusted retail partner
0:08 is nc.com all right guys we just came out
0:12 the zigma tech booth and the first thing I noticed was actually this case oddly
0:16 enough it's called the midgard 3 that's not the oddly enough part but oddly
0:19 enough there's a battery symbol on top I don't currently have the phone that they
0:22 used to display it with me but it is a wireless charging station so basically
0:26 you come home slap your phone on top of the case it'll instantly start charging
0:30 uh that's actually pretty cool I haven't seen any cases here that have that
0:33 functionality it's it's closed off so there's no holes for fans except along
0:39 the side panels here I know it's going to be really really hard to see in the camera so we're probably not going to
0:43 get a good picture of it but there's spacing between the side panel and the
0:46 big bezel of the case where the case actually gets its air so there it's it's
0:51 still a sample it's not in production yet they might be putting sound dampening on the side panels but there
0:55 currently isn't I'm not actually going to show you guys the inside of the case
0:58 because like I said it's a sample it's not refined yet in the front flip up
1:02 cover right here we've got two USB 2.0 ports two USB 3.0 points front audio
1:06 headers reset switch and then up where the wireless parging is where the
1:11 wireless charging is there's a power button moving on we've got the nebula
1:15 this is more of their home theater angled case it's got a very very sharp
1:18 looking power button nice glossy tap uh top on there big thick steel panels and
1:23 I'm actually going to get my buddy here to take off the panels so we can see inside the
1:27 case big can you knock on that for for me for a sec big thick nice steel panels
1:33 it looks great there's actually pretty good space for uh Cable Management you
1:37 can fit a big power supply in there they have a really really really low profile
1:40 cooler in there which is one of theirs but you can actually put a slightly taller profile cooler in there if you'd
1:45 want one of theirs as well if you would like it's not that bad for cable
1:49 management I would tidy this one up a little bit but it's actually not that bad sorry about that guys you can fit in
1:53 about a 20 cm graphics card in there I haven't tested it but that's what they're telling me and it looks about
1:57 right this case looks very very sharp you can fit pretty much whatever you
2:00 want in there got hot SWOT based for hard drives two of them uh yeah we're
2:04 going to move on anyways this is their silence optimized case and this is my
2:08 favorite one so far not the first one that caught my eye but my favorite one
2:11 so far I'm going to keep the juicy things for later but their front IO is
2:15 actually covered up by this sliding panel so which reveals a reset button
2:19 power button front audio 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 fairly standard at this point
2:24 what isn't standard though and I've only seen once more of this show but this is
2:28 possibly a better implementation of it is having the top covers down turns off
2:33 the two top fans but if you raise them
2:36 up we it's a sample guys so let it hold
2:40 for a sec there we go if you raise them up there we go the fans on the inside
2:45 will turn on I what I was doing wrong there is I was pressing on the corner you're supposed to press on both Corners
2:49 then it unclips so it turns the fans on if they're open so if you need to do
2:52 something like video editing or gaming or anything heavy you can have the top
2:56 covers open which turns the fans on if you want it to be quiet! in your room
3:00 because now you're trying to go to bed you're done gaming you're done video editing you're done doing all the stuff
3:04 you want to do every day you can close the top covers down then it gets very
3:07 nice and quiet the inside is quite well
3:10 refined this one isn't actually built up so you can't see how it would be when
3:13 it's built up there's a little bit of room behind the uh motherboard panel I
3:17 would like a little bit more but I can kind of wedge my fingers in there uh 24
3:21 pin should be fine there's a definitely enough space back here um there's sound
3:25 dampening on each one of the panels as we can see here and then this fan slot
3:30 actually has extra foam sound dampening on it so if you're not going to put a
3:33 fan there you can keep this stock sitting in there and it won't be a big
3:36 deal moving onward we get into there they're very small form factor cases I'm
3:41 sure you guys can recognize what case the achilla is going up against because
3:45 it looks very similar to it but these crossbars are supposed to be very strong
3:50 this is a sample so I'm not going to test it because breaking a sample is a
3:53 lot of money but they have very nice Cable Management options down here and
3:58 you can fit full-size power supplies so if you do have a fullsize power supply
4:02 you can tie everything down here again I might do a little bit better of a job but you can tie everything down here and
4:06 it'll look very very nice put a huge cooler in there fit fullsize graphics
4:10 cards put a pretty beast machine in here especially with Haswell running very low
4:14 power not putting out that much heat if you clock it correctly you can build a
4:18 really really beast machine in a system like this thanks for checking out our
