0:00 today we'll be unboxing a case from centi and their slogan is building
0:05 dreams so evidently this is a dream
0:08 actually it's not a dream this is from the arvina extreme Division and it is
0:12 the GS 6400b so I'm going to go ahead and
0:16 assume that uh GS is some kind of say
0:19 for example gaming series and uh b means
0:22 that it's probably black all right there's some uh notes here about the
0:26 case but we're actually going to take it out of the box so we don't need to look
0:30 too closely at that I have once again done absolutely zero preparation for an
0:34 unboxing so we will be discovering as we
0:38 go along all of the things that are important to know about the GS
0:44 6400b
0:48 now this is not a brand new case it is a
0:51 demo unit so I feel like I'm cheating a little bit on the unboxing but I guess
0:57 that's kind of life so yeah there are no
1:00 seals to break and it's not going to be quite new hopefully you guys will
1:06 forgive me and we can move past
1:10 this okay now I think I put it right side up but I'm not actually sure I
1:16 think so the only way to find out oh b stands for blue now we know we learn
1:22 something every day all right so I'm going to put this here as a cheat sheet
1:27 and that's the English side excellent so let's have a look at this case
1:30 actually it's kind of neat it reminds me a little bit of the uh the old alien
1:36 wear chassis just a little bit not very much not very much at all actually okay
1:40 let's start with the front of the case so at the front of the case we have uh
1:44 ventilation and you can see that we are actually perhaps missing one of these I
1:50 guess that's what happens when you have a demo unit case maybe it came off with
1:54 the
1:57 uh okay well we'll just have to continue on this Voyage of Discovery without the
2:02 5 and 1/4 in Bay cover so as you can see these are all mesh but they do have have
2:07 a foam filter behind them so you're not going to get a ton of uh dust buildup in
2:12 these you can see we have two stealth 5 and 1/4 in Drive Bay
2:16 covers okay there you are we have a
2:20 compact flash reader SD and then a bunch of stuff that doesn't really matter and
2:24 then on the top we have the power switch which appears to
2:29 have a blue LED light under it and then we have some fan buttons under there we
2:34 have a little eat oh that's kind of a neat idea so what kind of a cable yeah
2:40 you just use like a standard internal to internal cable and then you could plug
2:44 that into your drive that's kind of neat and then there's a regular ESAT Port 4
2:48 USB front audio hard drive LED as well as a reset switch are all hidden down
2:52 there more ventilation in the top on
2:55 this side we find just a plain panel cameraman watch your angle so you don't
2:59 get spotted there and then we have a release latch uh back here which we will
3:04 need to undo the thumb screws in order to access so we'll do
3:09 that two thumb screws on this side two
3:13 thumb screws on this side and then all the thumb screws will
3:18 be released and then we can use the
3:22 toolless mechanism aha there we are oops so we'll go ahead
3:29 and put that that side panel down I'm going to go ahead and remove the other
3:33 side panel you can see here has a little
3:37 button that you just press on and then you pull back so that's pretty
3:41 straightforward all right and we'll
3:44 check out the interior layout a little bit here so you can see the 120 mil fan
3:48 at the back 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 PCI expansion
3:52 slot so that's fairly standard and then we've got uh this is one of the features
3:57 that's mentioned on the side of the Box this is kind of an exclusive exive well
4:01 they call it exclusive coolers for video card Refrigeration but what I call it is
4:05 fans to blow down on your video card which is also very useful so these are
4:09 two 80 mm fans they just mount on this little swing ARM that uh conveniently
4:15 has little uh built-in wiring so while
4:18 that would make the fans a little bit hard to replace it does mean that it's
4:22 uh no hassle set up as far as if you wanted to use the stock fans these are
4:26 probably yeah these are LED fans alth I don't know what color they are I would
4:30 guess blue based on that we have a blue case and that the picture here says well
4:35 doesn't say anything but seems to have blue fans inside it all right
4:40 accessories hopefully I didn't just break that so here's all of your screws
4:43 it even includes a screwdriver that's kind of neat as well as a little microfiber cloth for getting
4:48 fingerprints off the finish of the case so here we can see if there's anything
4:51 else in here of note an extra
4:57 PCI cover okay I'm very
5:00 given that the ones in here are vented PCI and they are black and not gray like
5:04 the extra one that's provided that's okay I won't complain hey extras are
5:08 extras right all right so let's see what else we got here as you can see this is
5:13 a standard ATX case so while it is a little bit wide there aren't any extra
5:17 eatx mounting holes so what that means is that you can't mount a huge eatx
5:22 server board but you can mount something like a rampage 3 Extreme which uses
5:26 standard ATX holes but it's a little bit wider so give you that extra space up in
5:31 the top you can see we have two 120 mm fans which unfortunately aren't spaced
5:35 correctly for mounting a radiator but it looks like there wouldn't be space to
5:39 mount a radiator in here anyway because the top of the motherboard would be right here and then if you have any Moss
5:44 fet cooling or anything it would probably interfere with it anyhow okay
5:48 Cable Management we've got our typical Cable Management holes so your power
5:51 supply mounts on the bottom you can see that there is a uh a dust filter over
5:56 the intake for the power supply so that's a separate Cooling zone for your
6:00 power supply you can also Mount another fan here either 120 mil or 140 mm and
6:05 then we've got front panel connectors Gore to go with all of the front panel
6:09 stuff that we showed you before and then let's talk a little bit about the
6:13 tooless mount oh this is good yes CPU cutout nice big one that means you can
6:18 swap your CPU Cooler even if you have one that requires a back plate without
6:22 taking the motherboard out of the case all right let's have a look at the
6:26 toolless mounting for the optical drive
6:29 okay so that's pretty straightforward so there's two little spikes in there you
6:34 press that in locks your drive in place you press this button it opens it up
6:38 okay that was easy and then oo that's kind of fancy look at that so
6:44 this is how the whole hard drive cage comes out so you can take this whole thing out assemble your hard drives onto
6:50 these little uh rails so you can see you can install either 3 and 1/2 in or 2 and
6:54 1/2 in drives they have million mounting
6:58 and ventilation holes on the bottom of them although they are quite sturdy feeling and then you can slide the whole
7:03 thing back you can see this is a 140 mm cooling fan here in the front and then I
7:08 can go ahead and slide that whole thing back in to
7:12 open up the hard drives all you do is slide them just to the left and then you
7:15 can pull them out and pop them back
7:19 in that's kind of neat actually I don't know how shipping proof it is but it's
7:23 uh definitely different and then on the back of the
7:27 case we find not a whole lot to speak we do have some cable management spots here
7:31 so you can use these tie downs to uh take some of the cables that you routed
7:36 around the back and make sure that they don't cross each other when you're trying to close your uh your other side
7:40 panel but I think that pretty much covers everything I wanted to say about
7:44 the centi GS
7:47 6400b oh yeah hey there's the adapter cable you need for that front SATA thing
7:52 cool just in case you were wondering let me just see if there's anything that
7:56 I've forgotten hidden cable system removable hard drive base front cooler
8:02 Refrigeration card reader okay looks like I talked about everything so thank
8:05 you for checking out my unboxing and don't forget to subscribe to Linus techtips
