0:01 all right so we're checking out Mafia 2 performance this is with the Vesta 3050
0:06 with the SLI performance package that we actually talked about a little while
0:09 back this is a very exciting new title for NVIDIA it's actually coming free if
0:14 you buy a GTX 465 470 or 480 from NCI so
0:17 that's something that's uh pretty cool and you should probably be aware of
0:21 anyway this game is fully NVIDIA
0:25 technology out so that means it has full support for physics including entire
0:30 destructible environments that means that everything in the game pretty much
0:34 can be destroyed and the damage is persistent so all the debris lies around
0:38 anything that's been completely trashed whether it's bullet holes explosions
0:43 whatever else actually stays that way you got great ragd doll physics
0:47 including on the clothing for all of the characters so this is all powered by
0:51 physics and this system as I mentioned in my previous video has two GTX 460s
0:56 we're running this at 1920 x 1080 so that's 1080p with all of the details
1:01 maxed out in game now that means that we've only got 2x anti-aliasing but it
1:07 as you can see provides a very stunning visual experience now something you
1:10 should also be aware of like it's all the subtle little things right when you
1:14 have an explosion like that fire that was well they're a while back sorry
1:17 about that um if the character's standing nearby it'll actually Ripple
1:21 the clothing on his body that's how detailed the uh the physics calculations
1:26 that are being done on the GPU are for this particular game this is basically
1:30 what physics should have been ages ago
1:34 um but really it came down to developer
1:37 support for NVIDIA to be able to really implement it the way that it should be
1:41 done here we're just doing a flyby back through the little uh the little demo
1:45 level that we've seen you can see stuff's kind of still falling down still
1:48 falling apart here's our character walking out check out the clothing
1:52 though that's one of the coolest things about this game also many of the
1:55 particle effects whether we're talking about uh smoke from explosions or
1:59 whatever else are being done with physics rather than just being uh like
2:06 a actually here this is a really cool effect too look at that all the glass
2:09 flies out when the explosion goes off inside anyway thank you for checking out our video on Mafia 2 as well as the
2:15 NVIDIA technologies that go behind it as run on the Vesta 3050 SLI performance
2:20 package
