0:00 if you're the kind of ultra gamer who's logged more hours in halflife than in
0:05 real life then the words allinone PC
0:10 will probably make your eyeballs roll out of your head and straight out the
0:13 front door I mean come on fellas aios
0:17 may be great for your photography business but clearly other Allin ones
0:25 don't have all you would need if you're
0:28 a gamer well blow the dust bunnies off
0:32 those baby blues my friends because the digital storm Aura is a 34in curved
0:38 ultrawide AIO with a freaking GTX 1080
0:44 inside
0:54 it the GMM keyboard features Cherry
0:58 Gaton and kale hot able switches with a floating key cap design RGB lighting and
1:03 minimalistic style check it out now at the link below kicking things off the
1:08 aura is seriously heavy duty like all of
1:12 digital Storm's custom machines it's a low volume built to order product which
1:18 explains why the thin bezel is anodized
1:21 aluminum rather than your usual mass production plastic and also why some of
1:26 the finishing touches are perhaps a little less finished the 34-in display
1:31 is mounted on a rugged AF stand that does offer a generous amount of tilt
1:36 freedom but unfortunately only stays at
1:39 a fixed height which given the height
1:42 disparities found among humans even just within our office is sort of a drag I
1:49 get it the machine's heavy but it's still unfortunate that a $3,000 computer
1:55 doesn't include a more featur stand causing some of our more vertic
2:00 challenged staff to seek out creative aftermarket Solutions since you can't
2:05 even fix this with the good old textbook trick thanks to the ARA's long legs and
2:12 35b heft though now that I think about
2:15 it is that weight even really unreasonable that's only 12 lb more than
2:20 the Acer Predator x34 and that's just a
2:24 monitor not to mention that the other dimensions impressively are nearly
2:30 identical except for the ARA's extra
2:34 inch of depth and speaking from
2:37 experience it wouldn't surprise me if uh
2:40 that extra inch was enough to make a lot of magic happen working past then the 11
2:46 screws that hold the back panel on we find an entire ball ass gaming rig worth
2:53 of Parts frankensteined into that extra
2:56 inch on the back of a Samsung panel
3:00 seriously this thing is like a a crazy
3:03 science experiment gone horribly right
3:07 there's even two separate power supplies with like this weirdo janky power
3:12 splitter in here I mean what else is crammed in this thing our units got 16
3:18 gigs of 2666 MHz ddr4 RAM on a standard
3:24 Mini ITX standard MSI z270 Motherboard
3:29 upgradeability my friends crazy it rocks
3:32 an Intel Core i7 7700 K kbl Lake
3:35 processor that's cooled by what looks to my eye like a custom 160 MMX 35mm
3:44 acitech all-in-one liquid cooling system
3:48 not too shabby it's got a 1 TB hard
3:51 drive as well as a 480 gig SATA 3 SSD
3:54 NVMe m.2 equipped models are also
3:57 available and of course finally the
4:00 pesta resistance a full-sized GTX 1080
4:05 Founders Edition graphics card which uh
4:09 has its display outputs actually looped
4:12 back into the monitor Tim Taylor style
4:15 to a separate PCB that runs the display
4:19 and the crummy onboard speakers the fact that this rig is built
4:24 with mostly off-the-shelf Parts gives it
4:28 that Franken Stein feel but it also
4:32 gives it some distinct advantages it's completely upgradeable as long as your
4:38 new parts would fit your new parts could
4:42 sit and if I mean assuming you don't
4:45 want to use it as a computer forever you could even just use it as an ultra wide
4:49 monitor this thing has all the io of a
4:53 full conventional desktop setup the
4:56 monitor itself has all the usual display in Port
5:00 though it does lack an OSD the graphics cards outputs are all there and easy to
5:05 reach all the motherboard ports are here including USB 3.1 10 gig in both type A
5:13 and type c flavors though it should be noted those are significantly more
5:17 difficult to reach and it's even got decent front IO with a side located SD
5:23 USB and set of audio jacks and this is
5:28 cool up on the top there's even an extra USB port for uh you know a webcam or an
5:34 anti-air missile defense system whatever you
5:37 prefer but can all this stuff crammed
5:41 together under a plastic covering stay
5:45 cool under load well the answer is
5:48 shockingly yes yes it can we used Ida 64
5:53 and furmark to simultaneously tax the
5:56 CPU and the GPU n either of which
6:00 throttled instead leveling off at 70°
6:03 and 85° respectively with most of the
6:07 components hovering around 50° heat gets
6:10 dissipated through the perforations on the top and back of the chassis and the
6:16 warmest feeling area is actually beneath the motherboard plate which is perfect
6:20 by the way for keeping your nachos warm during extended raiding sessions the
6:24 aura does start humming underload however adding about 20 DB to the rooms
6:30 ambient noise in our testing though it should be noted that this is about what
6:34 I would expect from having a you know thoughtfully assembled gaming rig 2 feet
6:39 in front of my face and still way quieter than the HP wave uh ocean
6:44 simulator if you don't dig synthetic tests we threw some real games at it as
6:49 well running all of our benchmarks at the native 3440 by 1440 resolution and
6:55 then again at 1080p for comparison's sake as a expected the 60hz 3000r curved
7:02 ultrawide IPS display is awesome to game
7:06 on with great contrast and viewing angles but it doesn't have gsync and
7:13 frankly the colors are way off so
7:17 without a calibrator this one's not really recommended for our friends who
7:21 are Gamers by night and graphic designers or photographers by day so is
7:27 it better then to buy a fancy pants Monitor and a separate gaming rig or to
7:32 save space with an all-in-one like the aura I mean now that small formfactor
7:37 PCS are becoming more and more popular you could make the argument that you're
7:41 not saving that much space but very few
7:44 of them are dedicated gaming Rigs and
7:48 even the ones that are like the MSI
7:51 Trident aren't necessarily upgradeable
7:54 thanks to the use of proprietary components in fact even some of the ones
7:59 that are advertises upgradable like the Corsair one void your warranty if you
8:04 have the audacity to pop the hood so
8:07 then if you're looking for the ultimate
8:11 Trifecta of desk space performance and
8:15 future proofness and you've got the cash
8:19 to back up your search then uh accept no
8:23 substitutes because this thing is lit as
8:27 the kids say so thanks for watch watching guys if this video sucked you
8:30 know what to do but if it was awesome get subscribed hit that like button or
8:34 check out the link to where to buy the stuff we featured in the video description also down there is our merch
8:39 store which has cool shirts like this one and our community Forum which you
8:43 should totally join
