welcome to my unboxing and first look at the myonyx encyst 320 this is a high
0:12
performance aluminum mouse pad if you guys have ever seen my desk at work i'm
0:16
actually still using a steel series sx
0:19
which is a discontinued model i love aluminum mouse pads and uh around the
0:24
time they discontinued it i asked well can i like get in a couple more just in
0:28
case you know this one eventually wears out which it has now so i'm very excited
0:33
to check out this one uh so here here we go a star has been born okay never mind
0:37
that model overview forged one millimeter aluminum alloy for strong but
0:41
lightweight construction the surface has been treated with a very low data loss treatment which gives a matte black glow
0:47
i've never seen a matte black glow before but we're going to have to
0:50
take that off and sort of experience the matte black glow for ourselves okay with
0:55
a one millimeter natural rubber underside it has a non-slip grip while maintaining a very little overall
0:59
profile of two millimeters that is very low profile compared to the one that i
1:02
have now it's designed with our surface quality analyzer tool and has superior tracking
1:07
minimal data loss it is a 10 out of 10 very good suitable for optical and laser
1:12
mice although i probably wouldn't use it with a ball mouse uh ultra low data loss
1:15
okay they said that a lot of times effortless glide super low friction allows you to glide fast so this is not
1:20
for people who prefer a little bit more friction on their mouse pad
1:25
but more for people who prefer a faster mouse pad so it probably is a little bit
1:28
smoother than the sx the xsx had some uh had some traction to it non-slip grip
1:34
low profile okay so this is a very repetitive so let's go ahead and put
1:37
this put this away and let's have a look at the mouse pad itself so i don't think
1:42
we've actually gotten yeah no there's two plastic layers on this because see
1:45
this this looked horrible i was going to say wow this mouse pad looks awful it's
1:49
terrible look at the finish on this thing it's just awful and on the bottom
1:53
there's your rubber see makes it not go anywhere
1:57
now let's experience the actual mouse pad surface
2:02
there we go i don't know that it glows
2:07
but it feels pretty nice actually it's got a good uh
2:11
yeah here i have a mouse
2:15
oh it's not loud like most aluminum mouse pads if you guys have ever used an
2:19
aluminum or a glass mouse pad in the past like here get right close so they
2:23
can hear like it doesn't have any noise to it it
2:27
glides really really nicely i kind of like this
2:31
compare that to the table
2:37
yeah it really has like some glidiness to it there's one
2:40
there's one uh one blemish there that's not too bad overall though actually
2:45
looks very good i mean it's a mouse pad so i don't know
2:48
what else you guys want me to say if you're using a myonyx mouse or really basically any mouse um i do like
2:53
aluminum mouse pads it's not for everyone however one of the major
2:56
complaints i've had about aluminum mouse pads the loudness it's like kind of an
3:00
abrasive noisy kind of thing going on seems to have been completely resolved
