thanks to Logitech and Discord for sending us to PA East 2016 check them
0:04
out in the video description below welcome to PA East 2016 my name is Nick
0:08
Van Burl so usually Brandon would be doing these kind of gear bag videos but
0:11
guess what Brandon's not here and I am so I'm going to be doing this gear bag
0:14
video today for you so what we've got here for a backpack is the deine reload
0:18
bag this is a bag that I've had for a while from Shooting Sports and that kind of stuff I bring it with me on trips
0:22
because shooting sh coverage is kind of like shooting sports cuz you're running
0:25
around all over the place and you don't know where you're going to be so let's take a look inside we generally bring
0:30
one of our other cameras like the a7s2 when we go travel on a trip and shoot
0:33
some show coverage cuz it's smaller and when you go through the airport they're not asking you like oh what's this thing
0:38
it just looks like a photo camera but this year we're bringing the fs5 because
0:41
we weren't able to bring one of our other cameras cuz Brandon's got them somewhere across the world who knows
0:46
first things first I always bring my Canon 6D as like a backup camera we
0:50
probably won't use it but it is a good camera in a pinch so it's decent to
0:54
always have around and it doesn't take up that much space we generally bring
0:57
like a 24 to 105 because it's a pretty good all round Workhorse lens and it's
1:01
got image stabilization so when you're like four red bulls deep into show
1:05
coverage and you're trying to get that still shot with your hands Shaking All
1:09
Around It does a pretty good job at keeping you steady so you don't look
1:12
like an idiot when you're filming next lens we have here is a tokina 11 to 16
1:16
it's super wide you're not really supposed to use it on a fullframe camera
1:19
I do anyways and use it at like 14 to 16 mil because I do what I want and it's
1:23
still looks okay all right another little piece of gear I like for backup
1:27
just like the 6D is an h4n I always try and bring one just in case your audio
1:31
solution screws up another piece of equipment that I like to bring on top of
1:35
the camera is a little LED light something that can just sit on there
1:38
this uses Sony batteries it's a y no I don't know how to pronounce that maybe
1:42
Dennis does it is his light um it's pretty good for lighting b-roll in
1:47
situations where you're going to have crappy lighting which is like pretty much every Booth when you have one of
1:51
these puppies it just lights up whatever the hell you're trying to shoot so you're not at like 12,000 ISO you get
1:56
that light on there you're going to get those SI shots it's going to be looking Wicked well we got a ton of battery
2:00
Banks here those are always handy in pretty much any situation some people
2:04
like to have ovar headphones I like to bring IMS or earbuds these are like
2:08
clips s4i headphones for an iPhone they do a pretty good job at replicating
2:12
decent sound it's enough for monitoring and if You' got like over your
2:15
headphones all the time you might be blocking out some of that outside noise which is great but at the same time you
2:20
probably only got one free hand and now you're hand you're trying to like get
2:24
stuff ready and put these headphones on you're going to look like Dennis in the office with headphones all over his face
2:28
I had the Sennheiser momentum Wireless I honestly just bring them for the
2:32
airplane I don't like to hear anyone else on the airplane so I bring these puppies on I turn them on noise
2:36
cancelling and then I try and fall asleep now I know this is a tech Channel
2:39
and you guys want to see the latest and greatest gear and all those sort of electronic gadgets and gizmos and
2:43
whatnot but one of the biggest things that I always have to have in my camera
2:47
bag is snacks cuz you're going to be grumpy man you're going to be out there
2:50
on the show floor you're not going to eat for like who knows how long 6 7
2:53
hours you got to have some clip bars in there so you don't get into a bad mood
2:57
you don't get that low blood sugar this is something I don't usually bringing my
3:00
camera bag per se but they were giving them away at the twitch booth and I figured hey that's actually a pretty
3:04
good idea to have with you at all times Little Old Spice a little deodorant so
3:08
you're not stinking up the place cuz you're going to be running around there's a good chance you're probably
3:11
going to stink another thing that's essential you got to have your Kingston
3:14
card reader uh who knows when you need to offload footage if you max out a card
3:18
or something like that I also like to keep a little little box a little case a
3:23
little waterproof sealed Brandon Lee case for carrying your cards I usually
3:27
end up putting them in my pocket which is not a good practice if you out shooting all day and then you end up
3:31
losing a card or breaking it that's a waste of time for you for your boss for
3:35
your mom for everyone honestly we brought a senheiser wireless mic kit
3:39
this is the AVX kit that we've done a review on in one of our past videos
3:42
audio is obviously incredibly important because just like right now it's
3:45
incredibly loud and if we didn't have a hammer type mic like this one you
3:49
probably wouldn't hear me at all it' be booming and echoing all that kind of junk that's pretty much it for all the
3:53
camera stuff Luke's going to tell you about some computer stuff in terms of
3:57
computers we have three different like high-end gaming computer starting with
4:00
Dennis's computer which is kind of the most badass it has an
4:04
i76700k yes a desktop series CPU 32 GB
4:08
of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 980 desktop
4:11
Edition this is a laptop that has a desktop processor and a desktop graphics
4:15
card which is actually kind of ludicrous we have a video on it up here it has a
4:19
crazy model name so yeah just click on that it's a Seager burkel is almost
4:25
equally as insane but just not quite so much in the CPU Department he has an MSI
4:30
gt72s it has an i7 6920 HQ 32 GB of RAM
4:35
and another NVIDIA 980 GTX desktop
4:38
Edition card so it's a mobile processor and a desktop graphics card then myself
4:43
mine's kind of just for gaming not actually for editing so it's cool
4:49
regardless I got to borrow a gaming laptop from work that was nice anyways
4:52
mine has an i747 10 HQ 24 gigs of RAM
4:57
and an NVIDIA 980m I guess I don't get a desktop 980 for gaming whatever the
5:03
reason why we're here in the by section with these laptops is so that we could
5:06
shoot on the floor and then send someone back to the BC area with an SD card and
5:10
have them editing in minutes instead of bringing everything back to the hotel at
5:14
the end of the day and then editing there that made it much more efficient
5:18
and we were able to edit things at the show much more on time Brandon isn't
5:22
staying up till 4:00 a.m. in the morning yeah it's just a lot easier to do it
5:26
this way anyways guys I massively prefer this style I like it when people are
5:31
able to come back and edit during the show it's nice having a base of
5:34
operations for us to work out of that isn't like a booth that costs us
5:37
thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars that being said the nerd Fusion
5:41
Booth was pretty cool shout out to seus there anyways let me know what you guys
5:45
think about this video in the comments down below thanks for watching all of our pack SE 2016 content this is it we
5:50
got a pack and go home so I'll see you guys later thank you to Logitech for
5:54
sending us here this year check out all their keyboards and mice and headsets
5:57
and racing wheels and whatnot in the video description down below and also
6:00
thank you to Discord which Dennis might actually be able to see their little
6:03
thing up there I'm not sure if you can see it from here anyways doesn't really
6:06
matter they're awesome they have free voice and text chat servers with tons of
6:10
different customizability options you can have friends list it's free like I
6:14
already said it's there's dos protection
6:17
there's cat gifts and lemie faces I don't know they're cool check them out
6:21
in the video description down below as well see you guys next time
