0:00 so Linus has covered gaming chairs before from Max nomic and DX racer you
0:04 can see those reviews here but this time around we were approached by a Rosy a
0:08 Swedish company that wanted us to check out their tetta XL you may have noticed
0:12 at one point or another that I'm a fair bit larger than lonus and given that the
0:17 tetta XL is and I quote one of the first
0:20 chairs designed for people that need a larger and wider chair I thought I'd
0:25 check it out and just a reminder to stay subscribed because the conclusion of the
0:28 $300 budget scrapyard Wars is coming out this Saturday at midnight or more
0:33 specifically probably sometime Sunday
0:43 morning save on select Intel 730 ssds
0:46 during Intel's president week sale February 22nd to March 1st 2015 click
0:51 now to learn more let's start with the packaging and assembly experience there
0:56 was some sort of Fairly thin foam around most the metal arms of the chair which
1:00 seemed to do an okay job and the actual padded seat and back sections of the
1:04 chair were protected by a very thin layer of bubble wrap not the most well
1:09 protected shipment ever but it did show up without any noticeable damage so that
1:13 was good the chair actually did take quite a while to build and comparison to
1:16 the Max nomic and DX racer chairs and this was directly caused by poor
1:20 manufacturing tolerances there were many times where I'd be trying to screw in a
1:23 bolt but the hole cut in the fabric was not even remotely centered over the
1:28 Threaded Screw hole this resulted in me having to cut away some of the fabric in
1:32 order to be able to continue and even after fixing a large amount of these
1:36 Cuts manually there were more issues the
1:40 back didn't fit into the base of the chair that well at all and required me
1:45 to crank the support arms quite hard in order to get them around the backing and
1:49 not something you really want to see in a brand new product I might just be
1:53 nitpicking now due to being frustrated by the previous manufacturing tolerance
1:56 issues but the plastic covers on the arms on each side of the chair seemed
2:00 subpar to me as well on the left hand side while looking at the chair from the
2:04 front there's a tall plastic piece this piece is only secured by one screw and
2:09 moves very easily if it gets caught on something not really a big deal but it
2:15 just feels cheap and if I were to move this chair to the new office say I would
2:19 legitimately worry about it snapping off in transit if it happened to get caught
2:23 on something lastly you just need to slip the head pillow over the top and
2:26 thread the clips of your height adjustable lumbar support cushion around
2:30 the outside I personally don't care much for lumbar support cushions as they
2:35 don't seem to be the right size and I prefer the car seep implementation where
2:39 they're user adjustable normally I don't like head cushions either uh especially
2:44 because I wear headphones and with multiple monitors when you look around
2:48 they can kind of scratch into each other and it it presses against the cushion
2:52 and doesn't make it feel very good or you can hear the scratching which goes
2:56 into the cans and makes a fairly light loud noise it's just not not a great
3:00 experience but that being said out of the three chairs we have I prefer the
3:04 head cushion of the tetta XL as I personally like the material and my head
3:08 doesn't feel like it's going to slip off to the side like it does with the other
3:11 ones which is good because I also feel like the tretta XL needs the head
3:16 cushion due to the very noticeable and not padded enough framing which runs
3:19 around the outside of the chair some people may be able to fit in this chair
3:23 without their head resting against the framing but I can't unfortunately for me
3:28 that is not where the issues with the fr FR stop unlike the seat in my car which
3:32 lightly curves around and comfortably holds me from the back the tra XL has
3:37 large jut outs accurately defined by tan as Wings the jet outs make it feel like
3:42 you're being restricted almost like you're in a cup or a bowl the Wings near
3:46 your legs force you into a very straightforward position I often like to
3:50 change positions while I'm sitting as I'll likely be doing so for quite some
3:53 time and one of my favorite mainly consists of folding one leg under the
3:57 other and having my knee kind of sit out to the side not really a possible thing
4:02 in this chair the wings on the back of the chair are no more comfortable I have
4:06 very wide shoulders and These Wings have the unfortunate property of curving my
4:10 back and pulling my shoulders forward this feels very awkward and resulted in
4:14 my natural position being leaning forward as leaning back was just not
4:19 worth it a surprising result coming from a cheap crappy IKEA chair which I can
4:24 lean back in just fine the fabric Pooler material was actually a big plus however
4:28 if you're not looking for for leather both the maxnomic and DX racer chairs
4:32 come with leather materials so having the aosi tetta XL have a different more
4:36 breathable option is actually kind of cool the benefit of which is that if
4:41 you're like me where I'm basically a humanoid space heater it won't actually
4:45 kind of heat up as much which is quite refreshing unfortunately the this type
4:49 of fabric does have a downside if you happen to be a sloppy eater or just
4:53 playing not that great with managing potentially spraying liquids this fabric
4:58 will absorb that liquid and it will stain just a heads up the various
5:03 adjustments seem fine enough and it doesn't go up or down all that far but I
5:06 doubt anyone would really need more in either direction much like other
5:10 versions we've seen this chair has the potential to go way too far back I've
5:15 been informed that some of you want this functionality I don't get it but it has
5:20 it and it's by no means a bad thing so
5:24 there you go the cushion is quite dense and lends itself like the rest of the
5:28 chair to a very fixed position position if your shoulder span can fit within the
5:32 wings this combination will likely help to keep you in good posture and the
5:36 density of this foam is more similar to maxnomic than DX racer I personally
5:40 prefer Max nomics overall implementation but that may be biased due to being able
5:45 to comfortably flit in the chair as a whole which leads us to the conclusion
5:49 this chair isn't directly comparable to the previous two as it is specifically
5:53 designed as a larger chair for larger people my main gripe of this chair is
5:58 that I prefer the two chairs that were designed for smaller people because I
6:02 fit better not because I'm small but because I'm too big for the chair that
6:06 was designed for big people and the other smaller chairs offer quite a bit
6:11 more leeway in the size of their users with less aggressively curved Wings on
6:15 the side I feel like I would have preferred one of aros's other chairs
6:19 from their Monza or Enzo series as they seem to have less aggressive wings and
6:24 don't have the issues of these giant barlik Wings on the side which hold you
6:29 like a bowl and are just generally really uncomfortable all right let me
6:33 know what you guys think over on the Forum do you want a chair that kind of
6:36 holds you like a bowl was I too hard on it for that which chair out of the three
