0:00 we're in the ASUS system suite and I
0:03 would have bought one of these like what was my first year of University like
0:07 eight years ago welcome to lonus Tech tips at CES 2013 our trip to the show
0:12 this year is powered by Corsair maker of quality PC components and peripherals
0:16 our trusted storage partner is Seagate technology and our trusted networking
0:20 partner is
0:25 linkis I would have bought one of these like that because it's an actual
0:30 portable gaming machine instead of being a 7in monstrosity this guy right here is
0:36 a 14in machine that actually has the
0:40 same packs the same kind of punch as its larger Brethren it does sacrifice a
0:44 little bit on the thickness in order to achieve that because check this out
0:49 beastly aluminum fin coolers here because there is still stuff to cool
0:53 down this particular one comes with a quad core i7 or a core i5 processor a
0:58 GTX 660 M and the typical rugged wow
1:03 that's really strong actually that's really well built rugged styling of
1:07 ASUS's G Series so you can see from a
1:10 distance you might not even know that this is a 14in gaming notebook
1:14 especially because I'm more of a small person but if we were to have slick hold
1:17 this for example slick see now you can tell how small it
1:22 is very very cool stuff in terms of the uh of the overall finish they've got a
1:27 soft touch on the top beautiful ASUS logo Within illuminated Republic of
1:31 Gamers logo as well on the bottom again
1:34 nice matte finish scratch resistant so you're not going to have to worry about
1:37 scuffing it up too bad the back I'm not 100% sure what the heck that is but
1:41 let's go ahead and check this out so we got power in gigabit Ethernet two super
1:45 speed usb3 this is a Thunderbolt enabled
1:48 notebook very very cool stuff microphone and headphones of course you're going to
1:52 need those for gaming SD expansion HDMI
1:55 another Super Speed USB 3 and VGA I still like to see VGA on notebooks
2:00 especially ones that are versatile okay so think about this VGA the situation I
2:04 usually give where you might need it is something like a business trip where you
2:07 want to be able to hook up to like a projector or something now think of it in terms of a land party the land's got
2:12 an older projector you want to hook it up you want to play some games you got your VGA output now think about this
2:16 you're a business guy you're on a business trip but you want to play some games see now you got your HTMI out you
2:21 got your gaming capabilities you got your form factor that is actually
2:25 possible to travel with so that's extremely exciting let's just see if
2:29 there's anything else that we missed here we got our Thunderbolt dual dual
2:33 rear venting system boost stability and I believe that and it's available in a
2:36 variety of configurations including uh with an SSD oh oh oh MSA oh cool MSA SSD
2:43 so that means you could set up like caching or you could have your OS on SSD
2:46 and then a bigger hard drive for storage that's very cool so thank you for
2:50 checking out this video from the ASUS suite and don't forget to subscribe make

2:56 of cool stuff thanks for watching Linus Tech tips at CEO es 2013 powered by
