0:14 out what steel Series has described to me as their best headphones or headset
0:21 ever if however it features the same
0:24 loose ugly Bas approach as most other
0:27 gaming headsets then I'll just have to say that don't impress me much we say
0:31 that a lot in Canada lots of famous Canadians have said that so let's get
0:35 the Box open inside we'll find all the cables we need to connect via USB to a
0:40 PC or Mac with the included Dolby 7.1
0:44 virtual surround USB sound card via
0:47 analog to a computer or really any other device which allows audio snobs like me
0:52 to use a separate amp and Dack such as an objective 2 and odac from Mayflower
0:58 and finally a mobile adapter using steel
1:01 series's handy dandy swappable cables here so that you can use it on your
1:05 phone or on your tablet both the headphones and the microphone physically
1:10 moving on to the headset itself there's nothing too surprising about the Siberia
1:14 Elites they have a very distinctively Siberia look with their padded no
1:19 adjustments necessary suspension Mount system and the elite part of the
1:23 equation is definitely present as well the top bands are now made of metal
1:27 instead of plastic the ear cups can GL below any of 16.8 million colors when
1:32 you're using USB although it doesn't work on analog the retractable mic now
1:36 has an LED indicator for mute and on top
1:39 of all of that the padding is now thicker and more plush all around they
1:44 are heavier than the Siberia V2s but they're still quite comfortable and I
1:49 feel like all of those upgrades plus the significantly improved drivers for
1:54 better sound quality make them worthy of the new name speaking of sound quality I
2:00 feel like steel series is one of the few gaming brands that actually gets it the
2:05 7h horrible durability issues aside was
2:08 one of the best sounding gaming headsets I've ever heard and it actually won me
2:13 over from my Sennheiser hd555 at the time so when steel series
2:18 told me RA it's the best ever about this
2:21 one it did set some pretty high expectations for
2:25 me after spending some time with the Siberia Elites listening to my customer
2:30 crappy top 40 music and playing some Batman Arkham Origins to get my gaming
2:34 time in with them I can safely say my expectations were met are they
2:39 equivalent to the best $200 audio file grade headphones that don't have on your
2:44 controls for volume or LED lighting effects or a built-in noise cancelling
2:49 microphone or an included sound card with features like virtual surround EQ
2:53 and mic compression for leveling out the transmit volume of your voice no they're
2:57 not but we have to be realistic
3:01 do they get blown out of the water by the aforementioned audio file brand
3:04 headphones no they don't unlike most
3:08 gaming headsets the Siberia Elites aren't a complete mess of loose sloppy
3:13 bass and Tiny highs their response curve is reasonably flat giving them a clean
3:19 natural sound Bas is solid mids are good
3:22 Highs are good they sound good really good even they sound good and they have
3:26 features that Gamers care about like all the stuff I mentioned before excellent
3:30 comfort and even little stuff like this cool little shareport here that lets you
3:34 have a friend plug in and listen to the same thing as you lately I've been using
3:38 Sennheiser hd600s or Den ahd 600
3:42 headphones on my PC so expecting steel series to win me over to their headsets
3:47 again with a product whose MSRP is half as much as those other two isn't
3:51 realistic however good it might sound but for the first time in a while I've
3:56 got a premium gaming headset that while expensive isn't to Total write off and I
4:01 would feel okay if someone bought it if you don't already own a great pair of
4:04 headphones and you're looking for an all around performer with lots of features
4:08 you know like if you just you just want a mic built into your damn headset you
4:12 don't want something on your table you don't want a clip on or whatever else
4:15 lots of people have reasons for wanting headsets the Siberia Elite while
4:19 expensive is a gaming audio product that I can actually recommend great work deel
4:23 series now I'm just looking forward to trying out the H Wireless or have I
4:27 tried it already and that's the reason that I'm teasing it because it's a very
4:30 very interesting product anyway guys like this video if you liked it dislike
4:34 it if you disliked it leave a comment and let us know join the fry enter the
4:39 debate gaming audio products are headsets okay or do you always recommend
4:44 buying dedicated headphones and then some other microphone solution would
4:47 love to hear what you guys think and as always don't forget to subscribe to
