0:00 so I thought I'd take a moment to talk about NVIDIA's new series of Graphics
0:04 drivers you can see it says here it's version 26.5 2 this is actually a Beta
0:09 release but the new series is the 260
0:12 series they've made a whole bunch of changes so you can see the initial
0:16 installation screen is actually completely different so you go ahead and
0:20 click install you've got some options
0:23 here's custom so you can actually uh choose which aspects you want to install
0:27 it used to be that you had to install your 3D visionri driver separately now
0:30 it's actually included in the uh in the GeForce graphics driver so you can just
0:35 say okay I don't want an HD audio driver oh and this is interesting I'll talk a
0:38 little bit more about this after uh physx 3D Vision you can actually use
0:43 this option to perform a clean install so it'll just remove everything else
0:48 that you previously had on your system and then reinstall this over top in a
0:51 way that should uh really reduce uh interference from old graphics driver
0:56 revisions so that's a pretty cool feature let's click next so it'll go
1:00 ahead and install that removing all the old stuff and then it'll install the new
1:04 stuff so there's like few big changes first of all it adds supports for
1:08 support add supports add support for the GTS 450 which you can see is here on my
1:12 test bench GTS 450 there it is if the camera will ever
1:17 focus and oh it's a beta so it comes up
1:21 with that warning and they've also improved performance on a lot of the
1:24 GeForce 400 series cards and a ton of games you can I mean you can check out
1:28 this page on NVIDIA.com if you want this is one of the coolest ones though it
1:32 actually adds HD audio output via HDMI
1:36 to some gpus so you can see the fullest
1:40 here and upgrades the HD audio driver so
1:43 that's a neat feature that NVIDIA didn't have full support for in the past it
1:47 also supports playing back Blu-ray 3D discs
1:51 when connected to an HDMI 1.4 3D TV that
1:55 is also very cool all right we've already kind of covered this they
1:59 changed the around setup so that means the uh the guide I did a while back
2:03 won't be valid anymore but hopefully all they've done is make it easier so I
2:06 don't have to do a new guide added some more 3D Vision ready
2:13 displays and some more 3D
2:16 profiles upgraded the physx software and
2:19 I think that's most of the interesting stuff is just the audio bits here so I'm
2:23 just going to move so you can read that if you don't feel like visiting NVIDIA.com as well as the improvements
2:29 to game performance so let's see if that's done
2:33 installing yep it's done installing so I'm going to go ahead and restart the
2:36 system and then I'll be back with uh my
2:39 acoustic and noise acoustic and noise
2:42 acoustic and cooling performance of the reference cooler versus the Cyclone
2:47 cooler so that's a separate video I'm working on right now and I just had to install the drivers to uh get that
2:52 running
