0:00 this is actually going to be a re unboxing so to speak of the Logitech G35
0:06 now you can see the box has clearly been undone already but I made some critical
0:12 errors in the information during my original unboxing so I figured I better
0:17 make sure that I do the product Justice and give you guys the most accurate
0:22 possible information so I am redoing it so the
0:27 first thing we're going to do is have a look at the packag itself where we will
0:31 find out some interesting things about the product first of
0:35 all this right here 7.1 surround so that
0:38 is a virtual 7.1 surround that is
0:42 powered by Dolby technology okay so there are two actual speakers so the 7.1
0:47 virtual surround is a software thing all right we have three swappable headband
0:52 pads that let you choose the one that best fits your head uh that is here okay
0:58 then we have three customiz ible G keys for OneTouch command over music voice
1:02 morphing and more whatever you desire we have onar audio controls for quick
1:07 access to volume mic mute and Surround Sound adjustments adjustable noise
1:10 cancelling microphone as well as full speed All Digital USB connection so that
1:14 means this has a built-in sound card so you will not need any sound card at all
1:20 in your computer in order to use this headset which has advantages and
1:24 disadvantages which we'll talk about in a bit here's a quick start guide here's
1:28 uh survey safety and warranty as well as a driver disc
1:32 throw it away download the latest off the Logitech website here we will find a
1:38 spacer and then digging in even deeper
1:42 we will find the G35 itself aha this is
1:45 more than a spacer I'm sorry guys here
1:49 you are it also contains the uh can you see that letter
1:55 it also contains the C cup and the b cup
1:58 depending what size your head is the one
2:01 included by default is an A so I'm going
2:04 to go ahead and put that on show you guys what the G35 looks like and I'm
2:10 also going to show you guys why I am not a headphone model so here's the USB
2:15 cable you can see we're using a nice thick braided cord here hopefully you
2:19 can see that the odds of that being destroyed by even the most determined
2:24 cat uh are fairly slim here's the
2:28 raisable and and lowerable microphone it's got a bit of flex in it so you can
2:33 actually position it according to where your mouth is quite easily all right now
2:38 I want to show you guys the controls on the headset so these are those
2:41 programmable G keys right here 1 two 3 we also have a microphone mute as well
2:46 as a volume adjustment wheel here then
2:49 there's the surround sound Turner offer or Turner back oner I guess I could call
2:54 it a switch so here you can I don't know
2:57 if you're going to be able to see this but there's actually one speaker in there so the surround sound effects are
3:03 done by software just like with the
3:06 Corsair hs1 which actually brings us to
3:09 the advantages and disadvantages of a USB headset so the advantage is that if
3:14 you're using a laptop or if you're using an onboard sound you are going to have
3:19 better overall quality from this approach the disadvantage is that if
3:23 you're using a halfway decent sound card then you're not even going to get close
3:28 with whatever with what whatever uh amplifier they're able to power over USB
3:34 and with whatever sound chips that they're using in there you're not even
3:38 going to be close not even approaching a dedicated sound card and a regular
3:42 analog headset I mean I'd love it if they gave you the option kind of like
3:46 some of the steel series headsets but thems the brakes we're dealing with what
3:50 we're dealing with here and it does have a lot of flexibility that you don't have
3:55 with a regular headset and because you can't install a sound card like I said
3:58 in a laptop which a lot of gamers are using these days okay so let's have a
4:02 look at the overall build of the G35 I
4:05 suspect you'd have to have a pretty good nerd rage going on in order to break
4:10 this you've got like the this rubber top for the headband here you've got a
4:14 pretty durable overall fit and finish to the whole thing uh this is metal so
4:19 where you're actually resizing the headset I can't imagine it would break
4:22 as you can see it's made of some kind of yeah some kind of a metal uh it's
4:26 actually got little markers for all the different sizes which is kind of a nice
4:30 because that way you can just kind of if someone borrows your headset you can remember oh I'm at size six and then you
4:35 can easily resize it without uh fiddling around with it too much the ear cups do
4:40 rotate a little bit so depending on whether your head is shaped like this or
4:44 like this or whatever the case may be it should fit you quite nicely and uh we
4:49 got the microphone we covered that and I think that's pretty much it so thank you
4:53 for checking out my unboxing and second
4:56 look I suppose of the Logitech G35 don't forget to sub subscribe to lus Tech tips
