0:00 in a world of plain black boxes with no
0:03 RGB one man risks it all to show five of the
0:08 most insane cases that money can buy
0:12 and it's brought to you by ifixit ifixit's protect toolkit gives you the
0:16 tools you need to tackle any electronics repair challenge visit ifixit.com
0:21 forward slash Linus at the link below to get yours today
0:33 okay don't get me wrong i'm a huge fan of the understated monochrome aesthetic
0:38 with maybe a sprinkle of color here or there but today
0:43 today is about the outliers the biggest
0:47 the boldest and arguably subjectively the
0:51 beautifulest monstrosities that you can actually buy for your next pc build so
0:58 no one offs let's kick things off with the deep cool
1:02 oh it's heavier than it looks tri-stellar
1:06 to make something truly unique you basically need to step out of the
1:11 standard form factor because i mean all boxes look somewhat alike do they not
1:17 so deep cool amongst others here today took that
1:20 challenge very seriously as the name implies the tri-stellar has three
1:25 isolated chambers arranged in sort of an
1:29 arrowhead style with a metal hub in the middle that serves to route cables
1:34 between the compartments the exterior panels have a rough kind of
1:38 like gun metal finish that gives them a very industrial look and feel and they just
1:44 slide off whenever you need to perform maintenance
1:47 so each chamber holds something different so starting at the top
1:51 you've got mounting for your GPU via a pci express extension and up to three
1:57 ssds with some sexy tempered glass to
2:00 show them all off then the left chamber holds your power supply
2:05 an optional two hard drives and a five and a quarter inch bay if you still live
2:09 in 2005. finally the last compartment
2:13 contains an itx motherboard with either a low profile CPU cooler or a single 120
2:20 millimeter liquid cooler thanks to this
2:23 fan mount now each of the wings comes with a 90
2:27 millimeter fan in the front and is designed to act like a mini wind tunnel
2:31 so i would probably stick with a blower style GPU cooler in this case
2:36 that is if you can afford one it is 350
2:40 bucks now for our next trick the thermaltake
2:44 tower 900 may actually not feature an
2:47 overly unique form factor but it still
2:51 more than earns its insane designation
2:54 thanks to the sheer magnitude of both its capacity and size which are sort of
3:00 the same thing this thing is so big that my wife can literally fit inside of it
3:06 with the motherboard tray removed i couldn't make this stuff up anyway the
3:11 white version that we have here in the office has a powder coated steel
3:14 exterior and more tempered glass than
3:18 you have probably ever seen on a single
3:21 case at least for now and this robust
3:25 construction lends to its over 50
3:28 pound dry weight i mean you seriously need two
3:33 people to move this thing around once it's full of hardware
3:37 lots and lots of hardware the tower 900
3:41 can hold two quad
3:44 140 millimeter extra thick radiators
3:48 like what we've got here and even has adequate room for fans on both sides of
3:54 it if you're a total airflow nut the motherboard tray fits up to an eatx
3:59 board and quad gpus although that last
4:03 one's not really a thing anymore at least for gamers and surprisingly the 900 actually costs
4:09 barely more than it weighs at 220
4:13 dollars following in the size matters
4:16 footsteps of our last case is the also by thermal take core p7 now in its
4:21 default form here you can see it just looks like one of those fancy
4:26 showcase cases that's just kind of like a slab of metal that you put a bunch of
4:31 stuff on and then a tempered glass cover in front for effect but
4:35 no my friends this case has much more to
4:38 offer it can be upright like a test bench it can be on the wall or in its
4:43 final form which we're calling panoramic mode you just install these extra
4:48 included panels and the case turns into this crazy
4:53 open concept setup thing that you can uh you
4:57 can choose four different angles for depending on what you like to change the
5:02 look of your case and your build i mean customization is king right
5:07 the p7 also has a ton of radiator
5:10 mounting with space for three quad 120 millimeter radiators in
5:16 panoramic mode here and you can even vertically mount your gpus yes that is
5:21 gpus plural but if water cooling or
5:25 fancy GPU mounting isn't really your thing the case also has plenty to offer
5:29 for normal people with space for up to eight hard drives or ssds and of course
5:33 like the tower 900 full eatx board
5:36 compatibility this one will cost you 300 bucks alright so you've likely seen part
5:42 one of our Corsair slate build and don't worry we will be finishing that up soon
5:47 tm but the slate fit our
5:51 insanity descriptor so well that we needed to include it here and i know
5:55 it's fundamentally just a big black box
5:59 but what makes this case crazy is the
6:02 ridiculous amount of tempered glass this
6:06 glass it's gonna be huge it's curved and you
6:10 won't even believe it and it's no slouch when it comes to hardware capacity
6:13 either in fact it has the most capacity out of any case
6:20 we've looked at so far the most
6:23 you can mount eight ssds five hard drives five graphics cards two
6:28 motherboards two power supplies two quadruple one hundred and twenty
6:33 millimeter radiators a triple 140 millimeter radiator and 24 fans to cool
6:39 it all off oh and did i mention that it has RGB front i o
6:45 because yeah it has RGB front io
6:49 now sadly this 40 pound behemoth is not
6:52 on the market yet but we are hoping to see it sometime soon and hopefully for
6:57 under 500 bucks because damn it Corsair
7:00 the world needs this bringing us
7:04 to our final case back okay
7:08 the most insane case nay
7:11 the most insane thing i think i have ever seen meet the zadak
7:17 511 heli carrier we aren't sure how many
7:20 of them exist or how many will be made but it is technically a production model
7:26 and therefore qualifies for this video
7:30 so all right where do we start with this thing
7:35 not by opening it that's for sure so it did include toy jets you know yeah
7:41 but it didn't include instructions so we're going to have to take their word
7:45 for it that it contains a 6950x and a sue strix gtx 1080 that
7:52 actually that story doesn't really check out at all because this is an MSI
7:56 motherboard and you know what whatever i'm sure if you
7:59 order one you can get it with whatever you want inside let's focus on what we
8:04 can see from the outside the entire case is plumbed up for the
8:09 integrated liquid cooling system with coolant lines visible on the sides here
8:15 and over here and it's got four
8:18 single 120 millimeter radiators here
8:22 here here and here
8:25 the whole thing is made out of machined aluminum and plexi and weighs so much
8:31 that it requires two people to move it io is fairly standard and positioned at
8:36 the back but don't be fooled into thinking that you can just put it on your desk and
8:40 fire it up the power cord can only be inserted into the bottom once it's
8:46 mounted on the included display stand but once you get it in there you can
8:51 power this thing up by sliding your finger
8:54 down a capacitive strip at the front
8:58 is that a thing of beauty or what so it lights up
9:02 these led lights down both runways and
9:06 also add some blue accent lighting to the bottom now i wouldn't blame you guys
9:11 for having decided by this point in the video that you need one of these
9:16 to which all i can say is too freaking bad because unless you've
9:21 got a cool twenty thousand dollars
9:24 burning a hole in your pocket you're just going to have to live without it
9:30 but what you don't have to live without is tunnelbear the simple vpn app that
