0:00 all right well today I'm going in completely blind on an unboxing this is
0:04 the v9000 hdg all right so it comes in a box that
0:09 sort of looks like uh it should be sitting here but as I've been told that
0:14 is not an empty box chipped to us it's just uh part of the packaging deal so
0:20 this is made by um well I'll let you
0:24 figure out who it's made by there you go and then let's see we can't see most
0:29 okay so here we go here's a little bit of information about it right off the
0:32 bat so it's a 5-in touchscreen HD Media Player it supports 1080p HDMI MKV you
0:39 can read this on your own I'm sure let's go around to this side nothing here okay
0:43 well first things first why don't we get this um let me get this sleeve thing
0:49 slid off so that we can get the Box open
0:52 one-handed unboxing see I'm a man of
0:55 many talents no I'm just going to use two hands Okay so take the little sleeve
1:01 off okay so now we can see all of the specs on the back so it says oh the box
1:07 is totally coming apart look at this the
1:11 Box fell apart okay that's okay we can we can read this so let's see if I can
1:15 get it in close enough for you to be able to read it so it's mostly mostly
1:21 what I'm guessing is Chinese but there's some English on here
1:25 too and I'm going to try and figure that out it doesn't help that the headers on
1:29 the the table are actually in Chinese um so full HD 1080p 20 megabit
1:36 per second uh gives a list of a bunch of formats something about HDMI and AV I'm
1:42 guessing those are outputs uh something about 9 megabit
1:46 megabytes per second full HD something
1:49 something okay this is an 8 gig version
1:53 okay full HD again so we've figured out so far that it is full HD okay it is 8
1:58 GB and it is some kind of handheld media player device so the top cover comes off
2:04 and then this is a piece of yellow plastic
2:07 that from my understanding is actually some kind of a holder for the media
2:11 player okay so next we'll find oh good maybe we'll find some more specs here so
2:16 here it says uh full HD 1920x 1080 this
2:20 says 1280p whatever that means maybe it's the
2:24 resolution of the screen this says HDMI DB block FM and remote control roll okay
2:30 here's a little finger
2:36 hole okay I'll put my finger in there and then pull this up okay next we have
2:41 okay there's the O that's schmexy okay
2:44 let's uh let's get to what else we have here first okay here's another piece of
2:48 plastic oh I get it okay so this goes
2:52 with this and it goes uh well it goes on
2:57 the floor when I drop it and then it goes here so you put that in
3:02 there and then just twist it around a little
3:06 bit Ah hey hey now it's a little picture
3:10 stand thing so you can put your media player there and uh watch your media
3:14 okay so in here we've got some headphones and here we have a USB a to
3:19 mini charging cable here we have what is this QC
3:26 passed okay so this one passed QC that's good that's a good step in the right
3:30 direction then we have uh 1280p a bunch more Chinese I'm not
3:36 really sure what all this says but um there it is so hey if you read Chinese
3:40 feel free to post a translation of anything that you've seen in this video
3:44 I would be very happy to have a look at that okay here we have what appears to
3:49 be a warranty registration although I'd have an awfully hard time filling this
3:53 out given that I only write in English and only read English mind you I
3:58 could probably get someone to help me but I don't know that they'd be able to understand anything I send them on the
4:02 other end okay so here's the user's manual hopefully there's English in here
4:06 and I will be able to explain what this
4:10 thing is very
4:14 much um something oh fat 32 I recognize
4:18 that that's a file system fat 32
4:22 excellent okay um moving along something
4:26 about installing it something about charging it uh oh oh here here we go
4:30 here's some specs great so it takes DC
4:33 5V um 1500 milliamps it runs at 800 by 480 I'm
4:39 guessing that's the screen resolution here are the supported audio formats
4:44 here are the supported video formats here are the supported uh photo formats
4:49 it supports txt something about MP3 oh hey radio so it has a radio tuner
4:55 FM only by the look of things supported by Windows 7 okay we have a look at the
5:00 headphones that are included comes in a nice little like hermetically sealed
5:06 daggy thing so it comes with a couple of foamy earbud pieces that look pretty
5:12 destroyed at this point but that's okay then it's um got some headphones anal
5:17 brand okay and then you okay they're pretty non-descript looking probably
5:22 sound all right all right so here is the media
5:26 player itself so why don't we have a look so that's quite a large screen it's
5:30 um it's not as glossy as it looks in the camera it's um I think it's just
5:34 something to do with the quality of the light in this room but it's actually quite a matte finish so it should be
5:38 pretty good for viewing and daylight on this side we have mini HDMI out uh we
5:43 have USB and then a volume control there's one little screw here for
5:46 potentially taking the device apart up at the top we have an Escape key and a
5:51 power button I'm going to go ahead and try and press the power button and see if it turns
5:54 on uh might be worth a shot but probably
5:58 not going to happen okay okay then on this side we've got HDTV out headphones
6:03 out DC in 5vt a microphone spot oh
6:07 that's cool so you guess you can record some kind of voice micro SD slot that's
6:12 pretty neat so it's got expandable storage that's a really cool feature to
6:16 have in a media player and then there appears to be some kind of thing on the
6:20 back no no okay I never would have
6:23 guessed this but it's made in China okay made in China factories
6:28 number huh so you could actually find out the factory this was made in based
6:32 on this number I guess that's kind of cool okay well maybe I'll do a follow-up
6:37 video then showing it actually running and maybe playing back some media but
6:41 there it is there's the unboxing of the v9000 HD G made
6:47 by these
6:51 guys
