0:01 it's construction time again so on the one side of my home office I've got that
0:05 server cabinet that's full of networking gear uh gaming rig servers battery
0:10 backups the whole nine yards and on the
0:13 other side of it in this room I've got a
0:17 whole lot of nothing time to fix that
0:20 today I will be constructing what I call TM the world's most comfortable gaming
0:28 setup so come on along for the
0:40 ride cooler Master's masterc case maker 5 features their free form modular
0:45 system allowing you to customize adjust and upgrade make it yours at the link in
0:50 the video description so first things first we're
0:53 going to take this Samsung 65 in curved SD TV up to the room and a test fit
1:01 something that I actually have not done
1:08 yet so so the position of the TV is
1:12 actually going to be one of the things that makes this the most comfortable
1:16 gaming setup we could have just put it against the wall right here and put like
1:21 a chair over here and called it a day but no that is not the world's most
1:25 comfortable so no the TV is actually going to mount to this 55° wall and the
1:33 viewer will actually sit right
1:37 here there we go of course this is not
1:42 that comfortable and
1:45 this the pillow sack provided by
1:48 lock.com is the solution to that problem
1:53 let's get this in there so what makes this the optimal
1:58 piece of furniture a bean bag chair is that I can get the
2:04 user reclined at exactly the angle that
2:08 the TV will be at above him see that oh
2:14 yeah hey do you guys mind uh throwing the TV up here so I can see what the
2:18 viewing distance is going to look like I'd imagine this is what it's like to be
2:22 ludicrously wealthy you wouldn't actually Mount anything you would just
2:25 have like you would just have staff on hand that would just move things and
2:29 hold them wherever you need them so it'll probably be about 8 or 12 in Off
2:34 the Wall this is going to be freaking
2:38 sick okay thanks guys awesome let's get
2:42 started but we've got some challenges to overcome in here first the Keen eyed
2:47 among you might have noticed that this room other than this horrible light
2:52 fixture up here has no power no network
2:56 and in fact has no insulation
3:00 just like the one on the other side and if you're going to have a most
3:03 comfortable gaming setup well the plan better be to have it in an insulated
3:08 room don't you think in fact the only Electronics in this room right now are
3:13 this chub caretaker from uh what appears to be
3:18 this chip was manufactured in
3:28 92 okay somebody spread that insulation
3:33 around well that explains why the garage was so cold during the early days of lus
3:38 Media Group we were all working out of there there was no
3:49 insulation it would want to come quite low cuz remember it's little kids using
3:53 it so I'm thinking for instead of trying to match the base in here we'll just go
3:57 with a flat stock trim with everything ripped off the wall
4:01 let's go through the plan in a little bit more detail it's changed a fair bit
4:05 from the original concept and now it's going to be kind of like a cool kids
4:08 play area as well so this tunk of wall right here is actually going to have a
4:13 framed like metal plate that goes down
4:16 to about here it's going to be like a cool magnet wall this right here is
4:20 going to be power for a reading lamp and right here is going to be another bean
4:25 bag kind of uh lounger that's kid-sized
4:28 for them to sit and read the bookshelves will be covered in books and DVDs and
4:33 games and then here we've roughed in the
4:36 spot where the TV is going to go so we played around with our mount a little
4:41 bit and it looks like it's going to end up on I believe it was yeah it's going
4:46 to go as far left as it can on these two so our power is going to come out kind
4:50 of in the center and then our data connection so we're going to have
4:54 Ethernet for the back of the TV as well as Samsung's One Connect do. right here
5:00 so that way all of our HDMI inputs can actually be over on this wall and just
5:05 this one cable needs to run between that and the TV itself over on this wall I'm
5:11 going to have everything wall mounted PC Xbox network switch so that everything
5:16 has networking running over to the other room and anything else that uh I could
5:21 see fit including this one connect box
5:24 itself which is going to be powered oh
5:27 doesn't use separate power oh that's cool I guess it's powered by the TV this
5:31 box right here is going to provide Power for everything that's mounted to this
5:34 wall and it's also going to give us with the access panel that we're going to
5:38 build in over here the ability to vent this room later on in the future if we
5:43 decide to do that but we may not up here
5:46 we're going to do two 6-in dimmable pot lights um and then the room itself I
5:52 believe the ceiling is going to be black and the walls are going to be kind of
5:56 brightly colored and and fun so hopefully we have enough light but we
6:00 can get it dark enough for a really great movie gaming
6:04 experience this crappy little side table
6:07 from Ikea is going to be cut off and is going to be bean bag chair height and
6:12 it's going to sit right here next to the bean bag with another little lamp on it
6:17 just in case you want to sit on this one and read and the carpet is going to be
6:20 replaced because who puts artificial turf in their
6:25 house okay lonus so that's great that's what everyone but you is doing what are
6:31 you actually contributing to this project ah yes I have
6:35 something I am going to be building a
6:38 sick wallmounted computer to go in that
6:42 room to power the gaming experience on
6:46 the ceiling mounted TV how do you build a wall mounted computer well you could
6:51 DIY it I guess but I'm going to be taking the easy route using a lean Lee
6:55 PC 6sx let's get this baby put together so
7:01 for the motherboard we went with a Maximus 8 Jean this is pretty much the
7:06 no compromises matx Ford for LGA 1150 it
7:11 supports SLI and Crossfire it's got all the outputs you could want and build
7:15 quality to match our CPU and RAM choices are admittedly kind of overkilled we're
7:20 using a core i7 6700k quad core with
7:24 hyperthreading and 32 gigs of Corsair Vengeance lpx ddr4 memory but I mean hey
7:31 maximum Comfort requires maximum performance right
7:47 right this is a really cool
7:55 case they've got some cases that have
7:59 astonishingly bad thermals see it's little things like this that drive me
8:03 crazy with not just Le and Lee all case manufacturers you couldn't spring for
8:08 three more Ziplocs every computer manufacturer hates me
8:22 personally GTX 1070 feels like a perfect
8:25 choice for this machine so cross
8:29 threading
8:35 give it the
8:55 old all right so this Baby's ready let's
8:59 bring it back upstairs and find something else to do I'm going to be
9:03 taking some of the leftover cat 5e cable from my how- to run Ethernet outside
9:08 your house video which you can check out right over here and I'm going to be
9:11 running it from my server room across the peak I'm actually going to have to
9:15 crawl through a crawl space in my attic over to the new room so that you know
9:21 whether it's games or whether it's Netflix I don't have to worry about a
9:25 wireless connection being a bottleneck wired only baby
9:29 you know what I'm going to get myself a
9:34 headlamp hold on I'm going to poke a wire through over there first see it
9:38 yeah oh there we go now I'm going back in so
9:45 are you going to the other side now yeah I'm going to crawl all the way to the other side can I wait for you to the
9:50 other side yeah you might be able to see me if you uh poke your head in okay so
9:55 this clip is uh having just gone in from the server room I have to crawl through
10:00 that hole oh my God Dennis just fell
10:06 down what the hell Dennis please don't
10:10 fall through my ceiling Dennis did you put your foot
10:14 through my ceiling yes oh my
10:28 God oh my God I I almost fell up on your
10:34 on your St garage oh
10:37 man
10:40 know oh God damn it Dennis I almost di
10:46 so we interrupt this program to bring you stunning footage of the damage that
10:52 Dennis has done to my house there's the
10:56 brand new hole in my ceiling of my garage that we had not intended to put
11:00 there it's supposed to be made out of wood no it is not supposed to be made of
11:05 wood Dennis made of that I don't know what it's supposed to be made of
11:11 drywall so uh from now on I'm going to
11:15 call this the Dennis hole hi
11:18 Dennis hello seriously man
11:23 jeez all right okay come on back up here and let's see if I can crawl back where
11:28 I'm supposed to be I could have
11:38 died see how I only step on the pieces of wood Dennis that is how you're
11:43 supposed to do it how did you know that
11:47 um I don't know I thought everyone knew that who knew who knew
11:54 that oh
11:58 man
12:03 not that I would let Dennis have any but Blue Apron allows you to create
