0:07 welcome to my unboxing of the AMD FX 8
0:11 core processor Black Edition with liquid CPU cooling system however I should tell
0:16 you guys now that this is a sample of the liquid cooling system that does not
0:21 have a CPU inside so there you go overclock and don't overheat liquid CPU
0:25 cooling system easy Bend tubes for maximum flexibility quiet high performance pulse width modulation I
0:30 think they mean pwm radiator fans brilliant customizable RGB LED okay
0:34 that's kind of cool custom fan speed control software as well as ah more
0:40 about the CPU that is not in here because this box includes an AMD
0:43 processor that is not in here installation instructions limited warranty information and a liquid CPU
0:48 cooling system designed for use in a desktop PC so let's have a look at what
0:54 is just the liquid cooling system from
0:57 AMD so you can see right here who the o M for this particular liquid cooling
1:02 system might happen to be acch shows you how to install it okay cool
1:08 beans next we have the liquid CPU
1:12 cooling chill Control software which you should not use you should download the
1:16 latest from someone's website whether it
1:20 happens to be uh AMD or acch okay it includes mounting hardware
1:26 for AMD systems there you go
1:30 so we got screws for the fans screws for the hold down plate as well as a little
1:35 ring that goes here apparently or go
1:38 somewhere okay and then mounting
1:42 clips it is compatible with am2 am2 plus
1:45 am3 and am3 plus two fans included they seem to be of some kind of reasonable
1:50 quality cuz they don't have like a ton of flex to them these are everflow motor
1:55 your life r121 1225 5su
2:01 fans and there are two so you can mount
2:05 them in push pull if you see fit or you can just put one of them on your CPU and
2:09 like put the other one somewhere else they're reasonably nice looking you got your little AMD sticker going on there
2:13 that's green as well as nice short uh
2:16 four pin pwm connectors that are using all black wires and then a black
2:21 connector so they are very aesthetically pleasing if nothing else all right as
2:25 you can see there is no CPU in the Box although yours would have a CPU in the
2:29 Box here we see the bottom cold plate as
2:32 they call it or CPU block as I think we should probably be calling it with
2:36 pre-applied thermal interface material it is a very high quality Tim that is
2:40 installed on the bottom of these acch coolers I do know that for a fact
2:44 changing it out with something better actually will not really net you much in
2:48 terms of a performance gain here we have
2:51 uh the power for the pump itself as well as the pass through that will power the
2:56 fan so this cable right here runs to power both of your pwm fans and it can
3:01 control the fan speeds on both of them at the same time you can see the only
3:05 wire that is not running to the second connector is the RPM monitor so the RPM
3:09 monitor will only work on one of the fans as long as they are both plugged
3:13 into the radiator you would hopefully notice that the rad that one of the fans
3:18 isn't working long before uh both of them failed and then you know your CPU
3:22 wasn't getting any cooling because as long as one of them is going you should be fine so this uses a thick style
3:27 radiator much like the corser h70 or h80 which means that if you are running in
3:31 push pull it's ideal because there is a lot of resistance to the air being
3:36 pushed or pulled through the radiator if you don't have two fans and in order to
3:40 get the best possible performance out of the surface area you have available you
3:44 want to make sure you're pushing lots of air flow through it now when they talk
3:47 about super flexible tubes they are not kidding these are just like the N the
3:51 ones on the ntech 920 where you can bend them up like this
3:56 and you can see look ma no Kinks so you will be able to get adequate liquid flow
4:01 to your CPU regardless of what kind of a
4:04 you know contortionist configuration you have to do in order to get the block
4:09 positioned correctly over your over your
4:12 processor now the other thing that can be a bit of a challenge for these is you
4:16 got to make sure you do have adequate room in your case most cases that accept
4:19 a 120 mm cooling fan at the back will work with this kind of a radiator you
4:24 can see there's a small tank at the top as well as a small tank at the bottom
4:27 but on the sides they're fairly low profile so it's exactly the width of
4:32 okay slightly more than the width of a
4:37 fan I think that pretty much covers it if you want to know how it performs go
4:41 find out how an h70 performs and it's going to be pretty much that but probably a little bit better cuz these
4:44 are better fans and uh you got your
4:48 unlocked FX processor thing going on on the top here that's where the RGB LEDs
4:51 are so you can actually change the color of the FX in there I guess I'd recommend
4:55 red I mean you can make it blue if you want but I think we all know why that
4:59 would be wrong so don't forget to subscribe to lineus Tech tips for more
