0:05 adata xpg V2 memory kits are optimized for the latest Intel gaming platforms
0:10 check the link in the video description for more details maybe it's being
0:14 presumptuous of me but I'm pretty sure that this is a hotly anticipated
0:18 unboxing from me the Razer Hammerhead
0:21 Pro okay so what are they calling this
0:25 expert analog gaming and music inar
0:28 headset so the difference the Hammerhead Pro and the regular Hammerhead is very
0:32 simple it's a microphone so the regular
0:35 Hammerhead is exactly the same product except no inline microphone and no call
0:40 control all right what else do they have to say about this themselves right on
0:44 razer's website it says hammering the
0:48 base it's called the hammer head this is
0:51 made for base heads so it should be noted right out of the B right out of
0:56 the gate that just because I don't particularly like the sound signature
1:00 shouldn't take away from the fact that you may enjoy the sound signature of
1:04 this headset if you enjoy a ton of Bas I
1:08 personally prefer a more balanced sound
1:12 where there's a good mix of high mids and lows but some people just want to
1:17 hear it pound whether it's explosions or whether it's um you know just heavy base
1:23 tracks or whatever else the case may be music movies games you want to hear it
1:28 go so there we we go what's included you get uh little picture of your new
1:33 headphones SL headset as well as a letter all right that's cool you get a
1:38 quick start guide although quite frankly if you need a quick start guide for headphones then uh it should probably
1:42 come with a guide for how to tie your shoes um and then next up we've got the
1:47 actual headphones themselves so there's a hard carrying case I personally don't
1:52 really find myself using these too much I I do prefer to just kind of Chuck my
1:56 headphones in my pocket cuz I'm lazy like that but some people do use them
2:00 and it's nice to have a little uh spot here where you can put some of the
2:04 accessories and keep them separate from the headphones themselves so you don't
2:07 risk losing them speaking of accessories this accessory right here is an audio
2:12 splitter I like seeing this included with headphones I particularly like
2:15 seeing a nice high quality one so there that is machined aluminum and then it
2:20 has like a nice uh a nice knurled finish
2:23 on both of the ends here so that you can really grab onto it and then you've got
2:27 a bright green wire running to the headphone and microphone jacks which are
2:32 both clearly labeled as well as having colorcoded bands on them next up we've
2:39 got the headphones themselves so I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to pull those out and put them aside for now Ray
2:45 are so good at packaging look how nicely presented all of this is I love that
2:50 although some of their older packaging used to be a little bit better than some of their newer stuff they used to you
2:54 could tell you just looked at it you went wow they spent a ton on this package and these days they're they're
2:58 moving away from that a little bit and they're giving in and using plastic here
3:02 and there which isn't necessarily a bad thing you know seeing companies spend
3:06 more on the product itself and then finding creative ways to make the
3:09 packaging look good without uh without overspending on it it's definitely
3:13 definitely positive so you get three different sizes of standard silicone ear
3:18 tips so you get a large medium and small this is pretty standard these days with
3:23 most everyone including at least three different sizes I'd love to see you know
3:27 it's kind of like the race to higher DPI on mic or the race to any number of
3:31 different things on mice I'd love to see the race to more ear tip inclusions so
3:36 it's like well you guys are going to have three well I'm going to have seven
3:40 different sizes of ear tips included so everyone from like Andre the Giant down
3:44 to uh my son who's 15 months old will be
3:47 able to have the optimal fit actually it's not even necessarily a bad idea
3:51 Razer if you're watching this let's see the Hammerhead Elite with like 16
3:55 different ear tip sizes because that's my wife's biggest complaint about IMS is
3:59 that none of them really fit or right so there you go uh speaking of ear tips
4:03 that fit correctly let's go ahead and check this out so it uses 9 mm neodium
4:07 drivers so you can actually see those if you go ahead and remove the ear tip and
4:11 then they include a fourth ear TP tip so this is a an optional B flange so Razer
4:17 saying this provides Superior fit noise isolation and base response by giving
4:23 you two two layers here so see there's
4:27 two basically two standard silicone ear tip tips in one so that I don't know
4:33 let's find out by flange you know what they're a little bit big for me I do
4:37 tend to wear the smallest size that's included with whatever earbuds that uh
4:41 that I do use so I'm going going to go ahead and put the small ones on maybe we
4:45 can uh get a little bit of a sort of model shot so you can hopefully see the
4:50 earphones themselves if not we'll do an overlay so they're using the same
4:53 machined aluminum construction a very striking green look to them overall
4:58 razor so good at product Aesthetics I find that with the B flange it doesn't
5:03 go quite as far into my ear canal as it does with the single small ear tip so I
5:07 would probably end up using the small ones but if you were going to use a
5:10 mediumsized one anyway give the band a try because it it might end up being a
5:15 better experience for you so inline controls you only find this on the pro
5:20 version so there is a single omnidirectional microphone right here as
5:25 well as a single button for answering calls and voice control and all those
5:29 things that you'll expect to do on your Android or iOS device so when I first
5:34 fired them up I had a ballad on my phone that was playing and uh I got to say the
5:39 mids and highs they're quite lacking compared to the bass when they said
5:44 hammering the bass that's what they meant made for bass heads whether you
5:49 appreciate bass in your music movies or games you will appreciate the bass here
5:54 the overall Impressions that they leave me with are that compared to most
5:58 fashion headphones that you'd find find in that $50 price range where they're
6:02 all show and no go the razors have as much show as those headphones especially
6:07 with the machined aluminum fittings whether they're down here whether
6:10 they're the housings of the ear tips themselves or whether it's even the
6:15 things like the adapters or the inline microphone without being too heavy
6:19 because they have used aluminum it's a it's a great overall balance so they
6:23 have the show and they have more go than I'd say most headphones do in that sort
6:27 of product category where you go to local Future Shop or Best Buy and you're
6:31 kind of like show me headphones and they start at around $30 to and $50 you get
6:36 kind of stuff that really isn't very good I would definitely recommend these
6:40 over that I want to do a quick microphone test here so we're just going
6:43 to play back a quick audio clip for you guys and I think that pretty much wraps
6:49 it up so here we go recording so thank you for checking out this unboxing and
6:54 first look at the razor Hammerhead don't forget to subscribe to lus techtips for

7:02 forget to leave a comment let me know do you prefer a more balanced Sound Stage
7:07 or do you prefer just rocking it out and having as much base as you can possibly
7:11 have thanks
7:22 guys
