picking the top five gaming desktops at a show like CES is not an easy task
0:05
there are so many and the definition of desktop has become more and more Broad
0:11
in recent years but we're going to kick things off with the MSI 27xt all-in-one
0:17
what makes this one special is the fact that it is an all-in-one that features a
0:22
full-size graphics card mesh enclosure on the back of the unit that connects
0:26
via a ribbon cable to a normal PCI Express 16x slot there is no multi- card
0:31
support but when you compare this to something like a completely enclosed
0:36
non- upgradable all-in-one from the likes of someone like apple it is pretty
0:40
impressive especially for gamers and that's not the only feature that might
0:44
matter to Gamers the monitor that's included with it is a 144hz panel now it
0:50
is a TN panel but it's got a 5 millisecond response time and it will
0:55
definitely be an improvement for gaming over the type of panel you'd normally
0:59
find in an all in one storage is handled by an m.2 NVMe SSD 08 two of them in
1:05
raid zero and the processor is a COR i7
1:08
nonk 6700 it's got a USB type-c connector and
1:13
an SDXC card reader and starts at $1700 not including the graphics card
1:18
you'll have to swap that one in on your own next up we've actually got another
1:23
Allin one from cyber this is a division of cyber power PC although the cybers
1:27
are actually spelled differently this puppy is in a 34in 3440 by1 1440
1:34
ultrawide curved IPS monitor enclosure
1:39
it's full of desktop parts and this is cool there's nothing proprietary so it's
1:44
actually very customizable and it's
1:47
water cooled it's got an all-in-one liquid cooler from acitech for the CPU
1:51
that fits a 240 mm radiator and it can
1:55
also fit a custom Loop if you want something a little bit more exotic it
1:59
fits one full-size graphics card it can hold two 2 and 1/2 in drives for ssds or
2:05
hard drives although there is no 3 and 1/2 in drive support and has a small
2:09
enough form factor that even though it's got a power supply inside it actually
2:13
doesn't look that unreasonably thick so
2:16
the core i5 gtx960 config starts at $900
2:20
but obviously the sky is pretty much the limit when we're talking nonproprietary
2:25
parts next up we've got the Digital Storm aventum 3 now although the aventum
2:29
3 has been out for a little while this new version will have a new cooling
2:34
system and before we get inside though we need to take a look at the custom
2:39
hand painted chassis this thing is massive at over 2 feet deep and over 2
2:43
feet tall and can fit all standard motherboard sizes as well as large dual
2:47
CPU workstation boards much like the one that we used in our seven Gamers 1 CPU
2:52
project but of course you got to keep all that stuff cool somehow and the
2:56
aventum 3 features this completely integrated cool cooling system that is
3:00
absolutely fantastic looking what's new here is the angled fittings to reduce
3:05
the cracking that can sometimes occur with acrylic blocks the case features
3:10
support for three radiators a 480 mm and a 240 mm included that are all on the
3:15
same Loop and has this amazing looking Clear Water distribution block behind
3:21
the motherboard tray to cool all your components Digital Storm partnered with
3:25
EK for the cooling so it's done by a company that really knows what they're
3:29
doing and they even take requests for things like custom chipset coolers and
3:34
will install custom design Parts within reason you can also even ask for a
3:38
specific coolant color it comes with cable covers and a power supply bridge
3:42
on the back of the motherboard tray to keep everything tidy looking and like
3:46
most cases where you have power supply cables kind of crammed into a corner
3:50
somewhere and it features RGB lighting for the interior exterior and the
3:54
cooling the front IO includes two USB 3.1 ports and a slim optical drive
4:00
and of course there's a gotcha it starts at
4:05
$5,800 with a CPU only water cooling loop with flexible tubing instead of the
4:11
now more premium seeming rigid solution
4:14
that I personally don't do because it's a lot of work which is also why it's
4:18
expensive because it's a lot of work the new cooling system is expected to be
4:22
coming on January 27th which brings us to the ASUS Rog
4:28
gt51 it supports Rog band and NFC
4:32
wristband which you can touch to the case to do two different things you can
4:36
activate Shadow Drive a hidden partition for stuff you need to keep private or
4:40
you can automatically overclock setting up a profile that the band will
4:44
automatically activate to crank up your CPU for gaming and turn it back down to
4:48
stock if you're just doing something like web browsing it's actually got more
4:51
functionality coming later like Auto Windows login there's a GPU air tunnel
4:56
that works with a shunt from the bottom front fan to direct air over the GPU and
5:00
the front fan has a cool turbines design for the Shroud it features 8 million
5:06
colors of RGB customization a USB 3.1 type-c front connector pretty cool
5:11
mostly that scene in the back and it's got an amplified front audio jack for a
5:15
little bit of extra punch for your headphones it's available in mid to late
5:19
q1 and starting at $1800 which finally leads us to the iby
5:24
power Revolt 2 this guy has a really
5:28
unique chassis design it's kind of like this weird but surprisingly cool
5:32
trapezoid thing there's a tinted cover over the entirety of the top and half of
5:37
the front that shows off your GPU on the very top and up to two ssds in the front
5:42
and the sides can be removed to reveal a
5:45
very interesting internal layout that crams in a surprising amount of
5:50
nonproprietary Hardware so you could put in pretty much any ITX case full-size
5:55
ATX power supply 3 and 1/2 in drive and
5:58
GPU that that you could want including liquid cooling all without having to
6:03
deal with any sort of thermal throttling that bottom can actually support up to a
6:07
dual 120 mm radiator or a single 120 and
6:11
a single 140 if you wanted to water cool both the CPU and the GPU it's expected
6:18
to be available sometime later this month so thanks for checking out our top
