0:00 whenever we do a show like CES we see a lot of cool stuff but of course one of
0:07 the things that we're most passionate about is gaming PCs so we've gone ahead
0:11 and we've created a couple of lists of the top five gaming desktops that we saw
0:16 and the top five gaming laptops and this is the ladder our first of our top five
0:22 Intel-based gaming laptops of CES 2016
0:25 is the razor blade stealth and it's accompanying accessory the core so the
0:31 stealth is actually an Ultra Book it's
0:34 thin it's light it's compact at only about a half an inch thick and 2.75 lb
0:40 but it doesn't have a dedicated GPU more on that in a moment it features an EXO
0:45 display which is similar to IPS at up to a 4K resolution it's got per key RGB
0:51 backlighting unlike many other gaming laptops that are only the entire thing
0:56 or per Zone and the pricing starts at an impressive $9.99 for the base model with
1:02 Chaz a core i7 and a 1440p screen and up
1:06 to $15.99 for the 4K 512 gig model
1:10 pricing that wouldn't be so impressive if it wasn't so wellb built okay back to
1:15 the GPU the core accessory is an
1:19 external GPU enclosure that connects via Thunderbolt 3 and gives any video card
1:24 you could pretty much want to install a PCI Express 3.0 4X
1:30 Connection in theory by the time it's released it will be plug in play and you
1:35 will simply be able to plug it in without rebooting and go from onboard
1:39 Graphics to up to a GTX Titan X Razer
1:43 was in fact demoing it with both rear exhaust cards and blower style cards and
1:49 we don't have any information about pricing but this is one impressive
1:53 little piece of technology our second gaming laptop is the ASUS gx700 it is a
1:59 liquid cooled laptop need I say more
2:04 maybe not but I will it uses an external dock with connectors at the back of the
2:08 laptop you just slide it in and use a lever on the top to lock it in place and
2:13 start the coolant flow both the CPU and
2:17 GPU are water cooled and the cooling components inside use copper there are 2
2:22 90 mm radiators and heat pipes can
2:25 actually provide conventional cooling when the laptop is not in the water
2:29 cooling dock the current design is closed loop meaning it's not meant to be
2:34 messed with but a more modifiable version might be coming later on the
2:39 laptop itself features a desktop gtx980
2:42 a 4K IPS display and 30 key rollover
2:46 just in case you're playing with oh I don't know three people all at once
2:50 it'll be available no sooner than March 2016 and the price is not going to be
2:54 lower than uh over $2,000 up next is the EVGA
3:00 sc7 yes friends EVGA made a gaming
3:05 laptop considering that it has a sky Lake Mobile core i7 and a GTX 980m it's
3:11 not too bulky about an inch thick and you get an option for a 4K screen at a
3:16 size of 17.4 in it's got a 1080p front
3:20 camera that'll be nice for you game streamers out there and evj is planning
3:24 to bring gsync support to the main screen later on in the year they are
3:28 also touting quiet performance while gaming as one of
3:33 the main features of this device and it'll be available in late q1 the Lenovo
3:39 y900 is up next now Lenovo is obviously
3:42 more known for their busy notebooks but
3:45 they are trying to appeal to Gamers as well and there aren't very many
3:50 compromises with this product you can get an overclockable Sky Lake i7 a
3:54 couple of 256 gig PCI ssds in raid zero
3:58 and a GTX 980m is standard it's got a
4:02 OneTouch turbo button for quick overclocking through the Lenovo nerve
4:06 center Windows application I like that nod to the old days where you press the
4:10 turbo button on your 386 it features an IPS display and starts at $2,000 with
4:15 availability coming in June there will also be a razor Edition for a little
4:20 more money very interesting the last of our top five here is the Gigabyte aorus
4:25 X7 DT this is very similar to the
4:28 previous aoris X 7 with the main difference being that instead of SLI
4:34 graphics cards It Now features a single of NVIDIA's new gtx980 desktop graphics
4:41 cards that fits in a laptop and while
4:44 that might not be that new necessarily what I like about the X7 DT is that
4:49 unlike other desktop gtx980 notebooks it
4:53 features a very very slim profile
4:57 they've also made some other updates including adding USB type c to the side
5:01 iio making this a pretty attractive
5:04 looking piece thanks for checking out our top five Intel-based gaming
5:09 notebooks at CES 2016 don't miss any of
5:12 our show content by checking out the playlist that we've hopefully by now
5:16 created of all of it and don't miss any of our videos in general by subscribing
