so we are on a mission here at CES 2015 to find the coolest gaming desktops here
0:05
at the show that are powered by Intel processors and I think you are going to
0:09
be impressed with the variety that we found journeying through all the suits
0:14
and show floor and all of that great stuff come along for the ride so we're
0:19
going to start our tour of what I think are the coolest desktops here at CES
0:23
2015 with the ASUS Rog GR8 and come on
0:28
you guys totally did that on purpose I'm getting the wink from JJ over there this
0:33
is the great it features up to a core i7 4510 U processor so not exactly your
0:39
most powerful CPU ever but look at this
0:43
form factor this is a 2 1/2 L PC and it
0:47
contains a lot of technology that you might expect as well as some that you
0:50
wouldn't it supports up to 16 gigs of DDR3 memory it's got a GTX 750 Ti
0:57
graphics card with 2 gigs of GDDR 5 RAM although it should be noted that
1:00
graphics card is somewhere between a mobile 750ti and a desktop 750ti still a
1:05
capable 1080p gaming box it features a
1:08
built-in 2 and 1/2 in SSD or hard drive and then it has an expansion Bay for an
1:13
SSD or hard drive upgrade and I'm told that we will potentially be looking at
1:16
raid support for that with a ufi update in the future and it's got you know
1:21
gigabit land AC Wireless all that kind of cool stuff but here's what you might
1:25
not expect unlike most desktop PCS this
1:28
one was actually designed by the Rog motherboard team so you're going to find
1:32
technology that normally you'd only see in something like a republic of Gamers
1:36
impact Mini ITX motherboard like their Supreme effects audio with their
1:40
onscreen visual indicator for where things are coming from their premium
1:43
audio capacitors the actual dedicated portion of the PCB inside that is set
1:48
aside for audio in fact it's even easily upgradeable so I don't I think the side
1:53
nope there we go side panels unlocked I'm going to try not to break it here but check this out it even features easy
1:58
upgrading a very unus usual thing for a compact PC like this access to the extra
2:03
hard drive bay as well as the RAM slot there pretty freaking cool stuff and
2:08
small continuing our quest for awesome gaming desktops here at CES 2015 we
2:14
actually found one of them in a fairly unexpected place this is not necessarily
2:20
something you can actually buy unfortunately because it is a fully
2:24
customized case made by Richard suros also known as Darth beas but this thing
2:29
feature some pretty cool Intel gaming technology so we figur ah whatever it
2:34
kind of counts it's got a dual 120 mm
2:37
liquid cooled core i7 5960x it's got a
2:41
GTX Titan Z 32 gigs of ddr4 memory three
2:45
more 120 mm fans in the bottom here and this thing was made completely from the
2:50
ground up just to be freaking amazing as
2:53
part of cooler Masters case mod World Series so uh this is just one of those
2:58
things it's got dual one ter terab ssds it's more of a we just kind of had to
3:02
show it to you than anything else so behind me I've got the main gear shift
3:06
this is pretty much what you would get if you approached a boutique system
3:10
builder and told them yeah I want you to just build the most like Wicked badass
3:14
gaming machine ever and this is what would show up on your doorstep it's got
3:18
an Intel Core i7 5960x CPU that's an 8
3:22
core 16 thread chip it's got 32 gigs of
3:25
ddr4 memory dual gtx980 graphics cards
3:29
it's in this wicked custom case with a beautiful paint job on it the CPU is
3:34
liquid cooled with a Corsair solution that actually main gear has modified
3:38
with their own branding on there and in terms of storage I actually don't know
3:42
exactly what's in there but it looks like a wack ton of ssds absolutely
3:47
beautiful machine and uh based on how well it's handling shadow of mortar up
3:51
there in 4k I think it's got the horses to back up what it looks like it can do
3:56
now you guys have been asking me for a review of this next one here for quite
4:00
some time this is the Alienware Alpha it's kind of like a it's a PC it's a
4:05
console it's like a little tiny gaming machine okay it's definitely that last
4:09
one I don't know about either of the first two because it lives somewhere in
4:12
between it's got a core I3 Core I5 or core i7 processor a custom Max
4:17
well-based GPU it holds up to 8 gigs of memory you can throw a hard drive in
4:21
there actually the memory the CPU and the drive are all upgradable features AC
4:25
Wireless it comes with an included Xbox 360 controller and the whole concept
4:30
behind this even though Alienware was initially showing it off with Steam OS
4:34
is well we want people to have that couch experience regardless of what
4:38
they're doing so it comes with a custom UI that sits over top of Windows 8.1 and
4:42
allows you to change your system configuration launch Steam Big Picture
4:46
and basically use it without ever touching a keyboard and mouse which
4:49
isn't to say that you can't still use a keyboard and mouse on it should you so
4:52
desire is it the most powerful machine in the world well no the answer is no
4:56
but it also comes with only a 130 W power brick and a form factor that is
5:01
freaking impressive considering that for many modern games you'll be able to run
5:05
them at decent settings at 1080p on this
5:08
little tiny device our last top desktops
5:11
of CES 2015 was actually one we had a little bit of a hard time categorizing
5:16
we knew we wanted to include it in one of our top roundups but we weren't sure
5:20
if because it has a mobile core i7 quad core processor it fell under the mobile
5:25
or if it because it's a desktop because it sits on a desk it fell under desktop
5:29
but we knew we had to talk about this thing so we picked one we put it in
5:33
there this is the AG 240 4K Edition and
5:36
of course an all-in-one starts with the screen it's a 4K display 10-point
5:42
multi-touch MSI says this is exclusive to them but it's got DC backlight
5:47
control with up to 75% less blue light
5:50
so this is a technology we're starting to see in monitors but not something
5:54
that is typical in an all-in-one it's also extremely slim at only 20 21 mm it
6:00
features an optical drive it's got your full complement of I/O in fact it
6:04
actually doesn't look much thicker than a monitor but where things start to get
6:07
really impressive is unlike your typical all-in-one this features gaming grade
6:12
Graphics they can't tell us exactly what gpus is in it yet it's going to be
6:15
future 900 series GPU but not slouchy
6:20
graphics so you should be able to play mainstream titles like League of Legends
6:24
on this computer in 4k it's also got a bunch of their other gaming technology
6:28
hence the you know G sort of gaming
6:31
series red and black color scheme on it so it features their super Raid 2 which
6:35
is up to three ssds in raid zero it features their killer networking which
6:39
whether you prefer that or Intel networking is up to you but hey For Better or For Worse it is in there and
6:45
there's a couple more cool things as well so it comes with a color changing
6:48
keyboard as well as a mouse I mean are they the best thing ever know but at
6:52
least they'll get you going and last but not least it supports HDMI input so if
6:56
you had something like a game console next to your piece if you're a super
7:00
space saving kind of person you can go ahead go HDMI and you don't even have to
7:03
have the computer powered on and you can use it just as a 4K display pretty darn
7:08
cool thanks for watching guys I hope you enjoyed our top Intel powered gaming
7:12
desktops here at CES 2015 as always guys like the video if you liked it dislike
7:16
it if you thought it sucked leave a comment letting me know which one you thought was best and as always don't
