0:00 Pax is great Pax has always been great Pax always be great but what made it
0:03 great this year well today Linda is going to help us go through all the top
0:07 five experiences of PAX Prime 2015 an
0:10 experience can be essentially anything just what made the show awesome if you
0:14 want to see more videos on pack stay subscribed to see us check out PAX East
0:19 in Boston in
0:28 March rocket League had arguably the most talked about Tournament of the
0:33 whole event despite not hosting it in the main convention buildings the
0:37 tournament was hosted in an auxiliary theater not that this is a bad thing at
0:41 all just makes it a lot harder to get them proper exposure then there was the
0:45 lands there's two main public computer lands at packs first you have the PC
0:48 free play section where anyone can sit down and play a whole slew of games for
0:52 about half an hour before getting booted out to wait in the line again then
0:56 there's by which stands for bring your own computer this area is somewhat
1:00 protected and only those with special badges can get in both of these lands
1:04 were completely consumed by the sounds of Rocket
1:11 League of course there were a few people playing League of Legends or using their
1:15 super expensive computers as Lightning Fast Facebook machines but you could
1:19 constantly hear shouts yelling and cheers from the rocket league players
1:23 there were even multiple in-house tournaments set up by random attendees
1:27 because there wasn't an official land tournament for Rock Rock ET League which
1:31 says a lot in my opinion next up we have the PS 10 in Penny arcade's own words
1:37 each year a group of 50 industry experts select the 10 best Indie Games in regard
1:42 to gameplay and overall fun Factor if you guys remember videos from previous
1:46 packs events you may also remember my old top five of the Indie Mega booth
1:51 videos so this kind of thing is right up my alley this year they chose Adventures
1:55 of pip assault Android Cactus battlef Brigade dark Echo darkest dungeon from
2:01 light grapple ninja tag tumblestone and
2:04 zarvot I feel like we need to get the devs of darkest dungeon and from light
2:08 to talk to each other to make an illumination neutral game H terrible pun
2:13 anyways the top 10 this year was great but I did notice something interesting
2:18 and that interesting thing was assault Android Cactus if you check out this
2:22 video you'll see that last year in my top five I actually selected assault
2:26 Android Cactus not trying to make a point about how I can predict the future
2:30 or anything just an interesting fact one of my personal favorites is number three
2:35 the sheer amount of VR demos a Sude demos HTC had demos NVIDIA had demos
2:40 Oculus had demos and more it felt like every few boosts I would go to had some
2:45 sort of VR headset rig to go along with it and there was long lines for each one
2:50 not a ton has changed fundamentally in the VR space since I covered it last it
2:54 feels much more like valve and Oculus are now focusing on polish instead of
2:58 game CH changing features which at this point in the game is probably the right
3:03 thing to do here's the VR Making Waves in 2016 then there was of course what
3:08 lonus and I covered from Intel's drone zone and a bunch of random attendees
3:12 trying to beat Cloud9 players at random stuff to Hardware Galore and a couple
3:17 system showcases this year was packed with awesome stuff which I hope you guys
3:22 enjoyed some shows that I go to I have a hard time kind of finding enough stuff
3:26 to cover for you guys this year however everything seemed to kind of fall into
3:30 my lap and there ended up actually being an excess of videos which definitely
3:33 isn't a bad thing PAX Prime and Gamescom are always interesting events because
3:38 it's basically foreshadowing of the holiday season's releases which for both
3:42 games and Hardware is often pretty epic finally no matter how cheesy it is the
3:47 people attending PAX Prime and hosting PAX Prime are always the best thing
3:51 about it say what you will about Gamers online and honestly if it's negative
3:55 you're probably right with different communities being known for how
3:58 aggressive and an an agonizing they are and with developers building functions
4:02 into their games to attempt to stop people from being dicks it's pretty
4:06 clear that the gaming community may not necessarily be a well of positivity that
4:10 seems to change in person however at PS
4:13 people are accepting talkative helpful and generally seem happy to see you this
4:17 was my 10th year at PAX Prime and I can honestly say that even though it's grown
4:21 so much and people have come and gone over the years I've never failed to bump
4:25 into a small army of awesome people whether it's just chilling and hanging
4:28 out in BC in an absurdly long line together or just asking random questions
4:33 of each other I can accurately assume that the average attendee will be warm
4:37 and welcoming person and while it may seem cheesy that's pretty damn cool do
