0:00 when I'm looking at a value product it's easy to find things to criticize and
0:03 it's easy to say no way man it's totally worth the extra 20 bucks to get that
0:07 other one but some people will have $75
0:11 shipped in their budget for a case period and they want to know about
0:14 products that cost that amount does it have competitive features how well
0:18 constructed is it is it packaged well enough to survive a trip across the
0:21 state or country or whatever by Courier and is it simple to build in but also
0:25 with room to expand so it's with those things in mind that I'll be reviewing
0:29 the cooler Master N600 kw1 version an
0:33 Enthusiast friendly case that can be obtained for as little as 75 bucks
0:37 including shipping after a mail and
0:45 rebate the Jazz mini phone and tablet stand from Cooler Master is now
0:49 available in a variety of cool colors from these great retailers click now to
0:53 learn more packaging wise I'd prefer to see as much of the budget as possible
0:57 allocated to foam rather than a full color box but in this case the middle-
1:02 of the road stuff that they're using here is probably fine even with a system
1:06 integrated into it so it's not a huge issue the front of the chassis holds
1:10 three 5 and 1/4 in drives and is probably best described as unoffensive
1:14 it won't turn any heads with its practical mostly mesh with a faux brush
1:19 metal stripe front bezel thing but I still think performance minded customers
1:24 will be happy because the Dual 120 mm
1:27 fan mounts behind it will have basically unimpeded access to Fresh Air front IO
1:32 is pretty comprehensive with reset power front audio USB 2 and USB 3 ports as
1:36 well as an LED switch for the included illuminated front fan then moving on to
1:40 the right hand side we find more Enthusiast friendly intake vents this
1:45 one has a 120 mm bracket behind it that can actually be used to mount a single
1:50 cooling fan for the drive cages or a dual 120 mm radiator giving this case a
1:56 total of three radiator mounts that can be used at the same time while still
2:01 retaining full usability of one SSD mount on the back of the motherboard
2:05 tray and the three 3 and2 in Drive mounts in the Front Bottom but not the
2:09 adaptable 2 and 1/2 or 3 and 1/2 in Drive Bays above those ones speaking of
2:15 Drive cages the one on the back of the motherboard tray is a bit tricky to
2:18 screw in but doesn't put unnecessary strain on the connectors the resizable
2:22 and removable ones in the front are super handy but perhaps a little bit
2:27 unsightly with the extra mounting points just kind of hanging there
2:30 but these on the bottom permanent ones are extremely solid better than cases
2:34 I've seen that cost twice as much it's just too bad I can't say the same about
2:39 the toolless plastic Drive sleds some of which arrived bent just from being tied
2:44 together with a rubber band the good news is that they work great if you
2:47 screw them in the rest of the outside of this case is pretty straightforward the
2:50 left side panel has a mediumsized window that shows off mostly just the good
2:55 parts of the hardware but also the SATA cables coming out of the back of your
2:59 hard drive although the pragmatic part of me acknowledges that there's a nearby
3:03 Cable Management hole and appreciates the extra radiator Mount that this cable
3:07 visibility enables the bottom has plastic feed and a removable fan filter
3:11 that covers the power supply intake as well as an optional 120 mm fan Mount the
3:16 top has a filter for its dual 120 or 140 mm fan mounts and finally at the back
3:21 we've got seven PCI slots a final prepopulated 120 mm fan Mount and an
3:26 integrated fan controller with two simple settings low and high it plugs in
3:31 Via Molex and handles up to two fans without Splitters nothing special but
3:35 still a nice to have around the back let's see what else we've got there
3:40 isn't a lot of space between the motherboard tray and the side panel so
3:44 unless you're going to obsessive compulsively manage your cables you
3:47 might end up doing the old push down and
3:50 slide technique to close up the panel but the good news is that there is a
3:55 little cubby in the bottom left there for stashing extras if you're not using
3:59 a rad there and there are lots of zip tie Loops so if you really want to do a
4:04 good job at least Cooler Master provides the right tools speaking of cable
4:08 management the front I/O cables are all black or sleeved and they're all
4:12 adequately or even amusingly long this
4:15 usb3 cable for example looks like it's designed to plug into the system next to
4:19 yours rather than inside your own system still I'd rather they're too long than
4:24 Too Short the last note back here is that the CPU cutout is only average size
4:29 but we'll work with almost any motherboard and the motherboard tray due
4:33 to its anchor points on all sides is surprisingly strong this is a sure sign
4:38 that a case designer has done this kind of work before the motherboard tray is
4:42 actually quite important back around to the front the windowed side the cable
4:47 management grommets are made of the most unexceptional rubber ever but I was
4:51 impressed to see them included at all in a case of this price the extra auxiliary
4:55 PCI slot is a nice touch and I think everything else here I've sort of
5:00 accidentally covered as I made my way through the rest of the case so the
5:03 conclusion for this case actually surprised me there's some stupid obvious
5:08 cost-saving measure stuff like the non-resalable bag for the included
5:12 screws and the fact that not all the motherboard standoffs were pre-installed
5:16 but all in all it's actually a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing aside from the
5:20 side panel window an optional feature and the obviously Enthusiast oriented
5:24 ventilation holes on the top of the case from the outside the N600 looks like it
5:30 belongs sitting next to Joe and accounting but based on the kind of
5:33 Hardware you can cram inside such a small enclosure albe it at the expensive
5:37 some cable management convenience and other Creature Comforts like noise isolating hard drive mounts Joe from
5:42 accounting could just as easily be a hardcore Enthusiast gamer freak I mean
5:46 you could easily pull out the top removable Drive Baye Chuck a pump in a
5:50 Reservoir in that space fill up the radiator spots and with all the filtered
5:53 intakes on this bad boy you could easily tame even a liquid cooled CPU and dual
5:57 high-end graphics card setup in here so the only thing left to say then is this
6:01 Cooler Master please stop putting glossy plastic on things it's not a good accent
6:06 strategy sure it looks nice in photos and for 3 seconds when I take it out of
6:10 the box but other than that it sucks but the good news is that other than that
6:15 obviously very Petty complaint I don't think there are many criticisms I can
6:19 come up with for this case at full price it's got some pretty stiff competition
6:24 but when it's on promo it's actually
6:28 pretty killer thanks for watching guys like or dislike the video accordingly
