0:00 so today I've got kind of a random unboxing to do this is the NZXT Hades
0:05 they basically like dropped this off at our office they were like here's a
0:08 sample do whatever you want with it so I figured I'll do what I do best I'll
0:12 unbox it so this computer case includes
0:16 dual 200 mm intake fans dual fan control
0:20 triple temperature display wire management and a black interior I love
0:24 black Interiors now I know nothing about this case I have done zero research so
0:29 I'm going to be disc covering everything about it as we go along so if I say
0:32 anything wrong please forgive me make a comment in the comments and say I don't
0:36 know what I'm talking about or something cuz the reality of it is I do not okay
0:40 so we have nine external 5 and a/4 inch Bays four internal 3 and 1 half inch
0:44 hard drive bays and five external 5 and a/ qu inch Bas hold on a minute which
0:49 one is it
0:52 okay okay I don't get it seven expansion slots we have cooling fan options thanks
0:57 for that it is included one 2 200 mm fan
1:00 one 120 mm fan one 200 mm fan and
1:05 another 140 mm fan is included for the top Dimensions etc etc etc bunch of
1:10 different languages okay let's flip this around and the latest Hardware is
1:13 supported including room for 300 or 30
1:16 cm cards like the ATI 5970 okay oh I get it here we go here we
1:22 go so you can either have 9 5 and 1/4 in Bays or 5 5 and 1/4 in bays and four 3
1:29 and 1/2 in internal base cool I get it
1:32 control the flow gaming overclocking our office work the Dual 8 watt per Channel
1:36 fan control allows control over the Dual 200 mm fans that spin up to 150 C CFM
1:41 each monitor your system etc etc etc wire routing pre-drilled water cooling
1:46 holes on the back plate front M that's also for office work by the way okay so
1:51 I mean this computer case is clearly not for office work now they did not drop it
1:55 off unopened and I haven't opened it since so it's still technically an
1:59 unboxing Bo in even though I'm not actually breaking any seals I know I'm
2:02 bending the rules but what are you going to do let's flip this baby open or flip
2:07 it open flip it over and get it opened up so this is the Hades so I think I'm
2:13 turning it right side up right now and then I'm going to go ahead and take the
2:18 styrofoams off oh that's a pretty small case actually so this is clearly a mid
2:23 Tower it's not a full tower it's not a micro ACX Tower take the oh it's kind of
2:28 nice looking actually okay so one thing about NZXT cases that you will notice
2:33 right away is that they are not subtle they do not take sort of the the
2:38 conventional approach when it comes to the Aesthetics so you can see this is a
2:42 very sort of forward leaning design it's very bold it has a front door which is
2:47 okay you can look right through it so that is a mesh front door that's going
2:51 to give you the best possible air flow because that's what this case is clearly
2:55 all about is delivering great airf flow once again you can see here at the front
2:59 this is all mesh and I'm I'm not sure if there's some kind of a filtration system
3:04 there or not but we'll get to that later okay so here we have our 4 5 and 1/4 in
3:08 Bay here are our two fan controls okay so you got a couple little knobbies
3:12 there that's kind of nice there's your power button okay and then I think that pretty
3:17 much covers that in terms of front panel connectors you've got your two audio
3:21 connectors so you got headphones and microphone you got two USB and one e
3:25 SATA here on the top we can see either 2
3:28 140 mm fans or 210 mm fans it's nice
3:32 that they give you the option for that I really appreciate that and then on this
3:35 side you can see clearly where the 200 mm fan is located we got thumb screws
3:40 included with the case which is great because I do not have a screwdriver on
3:44 me I was not ready to take a panel off if I didn't if it didn't have thumb
3:49 screws all right so let's just slide
3:52 that back it's pretty standard as far as that goes so again more mesh here at the
3:57 front so that's going to be useful for air intake I mean if you got lots of
4:00 graphics card power going on back here behind the panel it's going to be great
4:03 to have more air coming in this way this is designed to blow down right on top of
4:07 the graphics cards it uses a three pin fan header so you can plug that into
4:11 either their fan controller or a motherboard header even all right so
4:15 let's get that panel out of the way oh it fell over okay it's all good inside
4:20 we will find a user manual which is black and white there's nothing
4:25 particularly exceptional about this but it does give you some of the basics and
4:29 in terms of the case it comes in a few different languages okay so it shows you
4:34 how to how to remove the side panel
4:37 shows you how to use some of the wire management features shows you how to
4:41 install drives okay inside here oh this is kind
4:45 of neat actually okay well let's take the other panel off so that we can have a better look and you can see this one
4:49 also has uh mesh at the front for more
4:53 air intake which is great finish on the case is overall
4:58 pretty good I mean it's it's not uh it's not the kind of finish that you'd see on
5:01 something like a silver Stone but it's a reasonably adequate sort of powder
5:05 coating finish you can see there's a little bit of specklin to it so that
5:08 will make it a durable and B very fingerprint resistant which is something
5:13 that a lot of high-end cases actually Overlook and it drives me crazy okay so
5:18 here we've got the fan the power connectors for our top 140 mm fan which
5:23 is included as well as our rear 120 mm fan and they've given you holes for 92
5:28 as well which is pretty nice okay and you can see these are connected
5:31 by three pin but you can also plug them
5:35 into this uh for MOX power all right
5:39 here they've actually gone ahead and they've taken the front panel connectors
5:44 which is your eata your um your power
5:47 your USB all that stuff and they've gone and they've routed it through the cable
5:51 management holes for you and put it where it actually needs to go so in
5:55 addition to those other things that you or to the standard stuff that you have
5:59 here you have a coule what appears to be a
6:03 temperature sensor for your hard drive you've got a temperature sensor for your
6:06 CPU and then one other just random one for CIS okay you've got a couple more
6:11 power oh yeah these are the power connectors for those fans you got your front audio you've got your front USB
6:16 you got your front isata okay here you
6:20 will find all of the accessories that you will need to mount a system in the
6:24 Hades case all right so let's see what they've gone and included with this I
6:28 don't have my knife great that's okay I'll just break
6:33 it okay I can't even break tape that's
6:36 pretty sad okay oh wow lots of Hardware
6:40 here okay so these are Drive Bay adapters thank you for that it includes
6:44 three of those excellent and I believe they've got one mounted already so
6:48 they've shown you how to do it just like that you've got a whole bunch of thumb
6:52 screws for mounting those things there you go there's a bucket of thumb screws
6:55 as well as some hard drive screws okay and then you've got all of your standard
7:00 mounting hardware so these black ones right here for mounting your Optical
7:03 drives these silver ones are for mounting your motherboard they've got
7:06 motherboard standoffs which are the little brass kind okay so that's all
7:09 pretty standard and oh I love this they've included a 3 and 1/2 to 2 and
7:14 1/2 in hard drive adapter so if you have an SSD drive or two maybe yeah it looks
7:20 like it might hold two you can actually mount it in this case by default and
7:25 I've got terrible light here I'm really sorry for that maybe if you move forward
7:28 a little bit we'll be a to see this better oh they've included a bunch of
7:31 zip ties too for cable management that's nice okay and then I oh yeah here at the
7:36 front so here at the front that's why there's all that mesh there can you see
7:39 through that way to the front fan oh you can oh that's great okay so there's the
7:44 200 mm fan that's included in the front that's blowing all through the case and
7:48 can come way out the back to all the included mesh PCI brackets it has a
7:52 bottom mounted power supply here are your water cooling holes it looks like
7:56 you can probably use 38 in tubing but I wouldn't expect to get half in tubing
7:59 through those holes overall build quality of the case feels reasonably
8:03 good I mean with value gaming cases a lot of the time you see them cheap out
8:06 on the steel or they'll they'll cheap out on like a support brace here or
8:11 something else there I mean really the standout features of this case are as
8:15 follows black interior you've got the CPU cutout for replacing CPU coolers
8:20 with a back plate easily and quickly you've got these wire management
8:24 features I love these things Corsair kind of did it first with their obsidian
8:28 800d but I I love seeing sort of more
8:31 value oriented cases coming out that have this feature because it makes your
8:35 wire management look so much tidier with zero effort you've got toolless mounting
8:40 for your 5 and 1/4 in Bays okay you just take those out and then you pop them
8:43 back in wherever you want the drive to go and that concludes my unboxing of the
8:50 NZXT Hades
8:55 case
