this","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":228.319,"end_s":233.36,"text":"in the socket first here we go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":231.84,"end_s":236.239,"text":"where's our dot i think it's this way","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":236.319,"end_s":243.04,"text":"okay so here you can see what i was talking","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":240.72,"end_s":248.0,"text":"about before where you do need some kind of ihs on it to even hold the CPU in","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":245.439,"end_s":252.0,"text":"place because that's how these mounting mechanisms work see","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":250.239,"end_s":255.599,"text":"there's far too much play in there you won't be making adequate contact between","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":253.84,"end_s":259.199,"text":"the pads on the bottom of the CPU and the pins in the socket there's something","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":257.519,"end_s":265.6,"text":"about german that makes warnings so much more fun","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":262.479,"end_s":268.08,"text":"warning me to lumininium cooler copper","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":265.6,"end_s":271.919,"text":"curtain in the socket","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":275.44,"end_s":283.479,"text":"that's lots hey you can sort of get it in there and then just pull out and","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":278.8,"end_s":283.479,"text":"it'll like deflate it's really weird","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":285.919,"end_s":292.4,"text":"so this is the trickiest part you can see this notch is smaller and","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":290.72,"end_s":296.639,"text":"it's offset compared to the one that's built into the integrated heat spreader","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":294.56,"end_s":299.12,"text":"that is so that you can kind of start it over here","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":299.68,"end_s":305.12,"text":"move it where it will actually be held down","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":303.199,"end_s":313.36,"text":"and then tighten the whole thing down","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":307.919,"end_s":313.36,"text":"this is crazy like that is crazy","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":313.52,"end_s":317.84,"text":"yeah so now i guess we need to drain the sketchy loop","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":316.8,"end_s":322.08,"text":"what so we need to put the fittings in there no no you don't have to drain the loop","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":320.639,"end_s":326.8,"text":"to put in fittings why have you been wasting time in between runs draining","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":324.96,"end_s":333.919,"text":"loops what's wrong with you that is how you break motherboards","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":329.6,"end_s":337.039,"text":"he broke the dual socket c621 sage","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":333.919,"end_s":340.8,"text":"a 700 board there is a crater in the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":337.039,"end_s":340.8,"text":"socket i don't get oh i see it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":341.759,"end_s":347.919,"text":"oh my god there's so much water coming out","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":345.039,"end_s":352.56,"text":"how are you going to flip those around water everywhere water evaporates","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":350.32,"end_s":356.88,"text":"do you want to at least pour some out i don't think these are gonna fit","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":354.72,"end_s":361.759,"text":"yeah these don't work oh damn okay i'll get the zip ties","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":360.0,"end_s":365.68,"text":"no you know what we could do is uh yeah","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":363.6,"end_s":368.56,"text":"so we're just gonna go uh no callers on the compression fittings we're just","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":366.88,"end_s":372.88,"text":"going to use compressions as standard barbs fortunately alex is gone right now","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":370.8,"end_s":376.479,"text":"because i'm quite certain he would not approve of what i'm about","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":374.479,"end_s":379.919,"text":"to do i'm just gonna","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":377.759,"end_s":383.44,"text":"go for like a speed mount here oh no water","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":381.199,"end_s":388.24,"text":"yeah yep okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":385.919,"end_s":393.199,"text":"and if we go like oh","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":390.479,"end_s":396.96,"text":"i lifted it too high maybe we can fix it before he gets back","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":395.28,"end_s":400.0,"text":"okay hold on you're saying about not draining the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":398.479,"end_s":403.28,"text":"loop just gotta absorb the water","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":403.84,"end_s":410.639,"text":"where's the power supply right below that below it now it should be fine","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":407.52,"end_s":412.4,"text":"is that going to dissolve the tubing no","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":410.639,"end_s":415.52,"text":"that's not going to touch the tubing i just want it on the board i need to oh i","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":414.4,"end_s":420.96,"text":"don't want it in the block though not really oh it's in the block now okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":418.639,"end_s":425.199,"text":"i just need it to carry away the water that's a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":422.08,"end_s":427.039,"text":"that's an acrylic block so that might ah","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":425.199,"end_s":429.44,"text":"oh i really hope that this all survives","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":428.479,"end_s":435.36,"text":"i'll be right back with an air compressor i settled for this it was a lot lighter","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":432.72,"end_s":440.96,"text":"to bring up the stairs it's about to get really stinky in here","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":438.24,"end_s":446.0,"text":"no no nothing got over that far oh wait yeah maybe a little oh oh yeah","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":442.8,"end_s":446.0,"text":"it's way over there okay cool","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":446.319,"end_s":451.039,"text":"no no you don't have to drink it to put in fittings have you been wasting time","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":449.759,"end_s":455.12,"text":"in between runs draining loops what's wrong with","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":452.88,"end_s":459.44,"text":"you i mean realistically after applying this kind of heat to it it's probably","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":456.4,"end_s":459.44,"text":"drier than it was before","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":460.24,"end_s":465.759,"text":"what are you doing smelling it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":464.16,"end_s":470.88,"text":"i'm still picking up some alcohol smell here that means it's probably not all evaporated look i wish i had all the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":469.12,"end_s":474.08,"text":"time in the world to do things carefully and properly it would have been like a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":473.12,"end_s":477.28,"text":"minute here we go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":476.16,"end_s":482.319,"text":"dang it hey that really gets the liquid metal going though hey","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":480.24,"end_s":488.479,"text":"yeah i guess it's way more liquidy now yeah so let's put that bad boy on there again","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":485.919,"end_s":492.92,"text":"what could possibly go wrong okay yep it's on there","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":490.16,"end_s":494.319,"text":"okay having learned nothing","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":494.319,"end_s":499.52,"text":"we're just gonna quickly quickly quickly see how we're quickly","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":498.24,"end_s":503.599,"text":"doing that and quickly","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":503.599,"end_s":508.96,"text":"yeah see i told you it would work pro move is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":506.879,"end_s":511.84,"text":"to tighten it clockwise so that that way you're tightening the barb as you","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":510.08,"end_s":515.599,"text":"tighten your zip tie plug and pump plugging around i got this the right way","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":513.44,"end_s":520.56,"text":"around right yeah okay good i am like legit excited right now","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":518.64,"end_s":524.159,"text":"i am a bit concerned okay let's do it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":522.719,"end_s":528.16,"text":"does it have the switch yeah that's a memo k switch and oh it's power switch","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":525.839,"end_s":532.88,"text":"okay it's just hiding there it is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":529.839,"end_s":534.32,"text":"we're gonna find out if it posts","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":532.88,"end_s":538.0,"text":"that that'd be pretty funny hey breaking the board in between all the testing","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":539.6,"end_s":545.04,"text":"there you go all the RAM is picked up see","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":543.6,"end_s":548.16,"text":"no problem no problem","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":546.88,"end_s":552.2,"text":"all right so what are we trying to beat here","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":550.24,"end_s":558.24,"text":"so we're looking for uh 53.4 degrees is our average temperature","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":554.959,"end_s":559.6,"text":"with the custom loop before okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":558.24,"end_s":563.92,"text":"and that was with liquid metal that was with liquid metal that's the mark to beat i feel like Windows search has","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":562.56,"end_s":568.32,"text":"gotten worse over time but somehow they did it i","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":566.08,"end_s":572.64,"text":"agree with you stress fpu hit it yep okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":570.64,"end_s":575.2,"text":"oh damn that's looking like it might be a little","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":574.16,"end_s":579.92,"text":"better 46 50.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":577.839,"end_s":582.959,"text":"so what was the mark to beat max before was 58.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":581.44,"end_s":586.64,"text":"wow all right well let's give it half an","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":584.48,"end_s":591.36,"text":"hour and make sure but this is looking really promising","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":588.959,"end_s":596.32,"text":"okay it's been 23 minutes just doing a quick check in here everything all right","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":594.0,"end_s":602.08,"text":"okay it's still up not only are these temperatures","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":598.24,"end_s":604.88,"text":"outstanding but look at that spread","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":602.08,"end_s":610.32,"text":"damn core decor temperatures are within like three degrees","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":607.12,"end_s":611.6,"text":"and this has clearly stabilized","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":610.32,"end_s":615.8,"text":"like this is it this is all we get","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":614.079,"end_s":622.64,"text":"so with an average of 51.5 degrees we are almost a full","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":619.76,"end_s":627.68,"text":"two degrees cooler on average than we were with our liquid metaled","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":626.16,"end_s":634.079,"text":"ihs so remember that that's key","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":631.44,"end_s":639.36,"text":"two degrees we dropped and","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":635.839,"end_s":641.68,"text":"we haven't even overclocked yet","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":639.36,"end_s":645.12,"text":"you ready so far everything seems to be behaving","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":643.68,"end_s":648.8,"text":"totally normally oh we are at that clock speed oh it's","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":647.279,"end_s":651.36,"text":"beautiful let's hit it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":652.24,"end_s":658.8,"text":"wow that's like the same temperature","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":656.72,"end_s":666.0,"text":"like zero f's given about five gigahertz check this out","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":662.32,"end_s":667.6,"text":"five gigahertz at 55 to 60 degrees","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":666.0,"end_s":671.44,"text":"because remember this water is already pre-warmed like there's no way this has","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":669.12,"end_s":675.519,"text":"had enough time to cool down fully just finished up like a day of testing a bunch of different stuff on this with liquid metal and without liquid metal and now we're going to put that guy right there on this is the world's most unusual water block it looks normal on the surface copper on the bottom plexi and metal on the top but the secret sauce is it actually replaces the integrated heat spreader of your CPU making direct contact with the die this is madness hopefully private internet access is exactly what it sounds like the vpn that encrypts all your internet traffic and uses a safe protected ip stay tuned to learn more you know what's funny is we're kind of coming full circle here this actually reminds me of the danger den tdx so that was a really old block designed for back before AMD cpus in particular had integrated heat spreaders so the secret sauce here really is just the way that nude cnc has designed the base of their block in the shape of the underside of an integrated heat spreader so you can see this lip right here is designed to be sealed onto the substrate these right here are designed to be held by the socket retention mechanism and then this flat surface right here you can actually see an outline from testing they must have done at the factory this is a prototype unit you can see the outline of where a die was making contact with it before so how's the mounting work first we got to de-lit it right yeah well this one's already been deleted not not right now obviously but it should come off pretty easily so one of the big ways that enthusiasts have been improving temperatures in some cases very dramatically over the last few generations is removing the integrated heat spreader from the CPU like alex is doing now and replacing the stock thermal compound that's in there with something a little more potent either a high performance paste or in extreme cases even liquid metal but the theory here is that nothing i guess that's where the name nude cnc comes from yeah nothing is better than anything so we're removing a full layer of thermal interface material and additional metal between the water and the dye which is where the heat is actually generated this is freaking crazy like you look at how thin everything we're dealing with is the tolerances for this have to be so tight which is why we're using a 7700k for our testing rather than an 8700k because as far as we know that's what this particular prototype is validated on it probably would work for an 8700k though probably but go back a couple of generations to when Intel was using a thicker package material and maybe not maybe you'd over tighten it which i mean look at this thing you don't want to do it's as thin as a chip um let's get some liquid metal off of this first just for the like nice new application we already put a whole bunch of conformal coating on this for everyone that's wondering i'm just gonna give it the old shirt treatment here make sure it's nice and clean kids don't try this at home certified esd safe yeah so we put this in the socket first here we go where's our dot i think it's this way okay so here you can see what i was talking about before where you do need some kind of ihs on it to even hold the CPU in place because that's how these mounting mechanisms work see there's far too much play in there you won't be making adequate contact between the pads on the bottom of the CPU and the pins in the socket there's something about german that makes warnings so much more fun warning me to lumininium cooler copper curtain vernon whereas like the english ones like warning do not use aluminum heatsinks all right what's next so we apply this right in the socket that's lots hey you can sort of get it in there and then just pull out and it'll like deflate it's really weird so this is the trickiest part you can see this notch is smaller and it's offset compared to the one that's built into the integrated heat spreader that is so that you can kind of start it over here move it where it will actually be held down and then tighten the whole thing down this is crazy like that is crazy yeah so now i guess we need to drain the sketchy loop what so we need to put the fittings in there no no you don't have to drain the loop to put in fittings why have you been wasting time in between runs draining loops what's wrong with you that is how you break motherboards he broke the dual socket c621 sage a 700 board there is a crater in the socket i don't get oh i see it oh my god there's so much water coming out how are you going to flip those around water everywhere water evaporates do you want to at least pour some out i don't think these are gonna fit yeah these don't work oh damn okay i'll get the zip ties no you know what we could do is uh yeah so we're just gonna go uh no callers on the compression fittings we're just going to use compressions as standard barbs fortunately alex is gone right now because i'm quite certain he would not approve of what i'm about to do i'm just gonna go for like a speed mount here oh no water yeah yep okay and if we go like oh i lifted it too high maybe we can fix it before he gets back okay hold on you're saying about not draining the loop just gotta absorb the water where's the power supply right below that below it now it should be fine is that going to dissolve the tubing no that's not going to touch the tubing i just want it on the board i need to oh i don't want it in the block though not really oh it's in the block now okay i just need it to carry away the water that's a that's an acrylic block so that might ah oh i really hope that this all survives i'll be right back with an air compressor i settled for this it was a lot lighter to bring up the stairs it's about to get really stinky in here no no nothing got over that far oh wait yeah maybe a little oh oh yeah it's way over there okay cool no no you don't have to drink it to put in fittings have you been wasting time in between runs draining loops what's wrong with you i mean realistically after applying this kind of heat to it it's probably drier than it was before what are you doing smelling it i'm still picking up some alcohol smell here that means it's probably not all evaporated look i wish i had all the time in the world to do things carefully and properly it would have been like a minute here we go dang it hey that really gets the liquid metal going though hey yeah i guess it's way more liquidy now yeah so let's put that bad boy on there again what could possibly go wrong okay yep it's on there okay having learned nothing we're just gonna quickly quickly quickly see how we're quickly doing that and quickly yeah see i told you it would work pro move is to tighten it clockwise so that that way you're tightening the barb as you tighten your zip tie plug and pump plugging around i got this the right way around right yeah okay good i am like legit excited right now i am a bit concerned okay let's do it does it have the switch yeah that's a memo k switch and oh it's power switch okay it's just hiding there it is we're gonna find out if it posts that that'd be pretty funny hey breaking the board in between all the testing there you go all the RAM is picked up see no problem no problem all right so what are we trying to beat here so we're looking for uh 53.4 degrees is our average temperature with the custom loop before okay and that was with liquid metal that was with liquid metal that's the mark to beat i feel like Windows search has gotten worse over time but somehow they did it i agree with you stress fpu hit it yep okay oh damn that's looking like it might be a little better 46 50. so what was the mark to beat max before was 58. wow all right well let's give it half an hour and make sure but this is looking really promising okay it's been 23 minutes just doing a quick check in here everything all right okay it's still up not only are these temperatures outstanding but look at that spread damn core decor temperatures are within like three degrees and this has clearly stabilized like this is it this is all we get so with an average of 51.5 degrees we are almost a full two degrees cooler on average than we were with our liquid metaled ihs so remember that that's key two degrees we dropped and we haven't even overclocked yet you ready so far everything seems to be behaving totally normally oh we are at that clock speed oh it's beautiful let's hit it wow that's like the same temperature like zero f's given about five gigahertz check this out five gigahertz at 55 to 60 degrees because remember this water is already pre-warmed like there's no way this has had enough time to cool down fully wow like look at the spread though that's what's crazy to me the consistency kind of just try going higher yeah we got nothing to lose okay so how hard do we hit it i don't know it seems like some people are getting like 5.5 with 1.5 volts so okay i'm trying 5.4 at 1.5 volts we might be getting into Windows at 5.4 no no we're not i mean let's just see let's try 5.3 we're going to Windows we are most certainly running at 5 i hate it when it does this 5.29 takes the satisfaction right out of it wow so if we had a chip and a board that could handle higher frequency with this kind of voltage our cooling would still be well under control look at that we have settled in at around 65 to 75 degrees on all four of our cores so to put that in perspective that is about what we might expect on a CPU like this at stock speeds with like an adequate but unexceptional air cooler so the conclusion here is both complicated and simple the simple part of it is that the nude cnc whatever this thing is called what's it called encore performs better than any water cooling solution that makes contact with the ihs even if your ihs is liquid metaled the part that's complicated is that the encore requires voiding the warranty of your processor in order to achieve these gains so we're not going to recommend it but we're not gonna say that it's not super cool either in no particular order here are some reasons to use private internet access one it hides your true ip address and geographic location two it allows you to browse anonymous it allows you to browse anonymously keeping your identity hidden which is especially important for political dissidents journalists human rights activists etc three it allows you to avoid data mining and targeted advertising four it allows you to block unwanted connections with advanced firewall and filtering capabilities six it allows you to unblock websites bypassing lots of get you know what the point is there's a lot of reasons and it's super affordable which is cool so check it out at the link in the
