And so Sammy was just like, hey, let's talk about the humble PC.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":11.44,"end_s":15.56,"text":"Cause you know, it was actually my first time water cooling and I know we joked about it in the video,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":15.56,"end_s":19.48,"text":"but I was really nervous doing this whole build and I was really excited.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":19.48,"end_s":23.36,"text":"In the end, I only actually bent two tubes,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":23.36,"end_s":29.76,"text":"which was these two. But to my credit, okay, Linus said they were good,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":29.76,"end_s":32.82,"text":"hard stop period. It wasn't supposed to have any bends.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":32.82,"end_s":36.62,"text":"We were actually supposed to use these corner fittings on absolutely everything.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":37.76,"end_s":42.0,"text":"But then Linus was like, nah, that's not very humble. It was an interesting project to work on.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":42.0,"end_s":45.92,"text":"There was lots to do with it. The case was tons of fun to work with","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":45.92,"end_s":49.2,"text":"for being like kind of a niche Etsy style case","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":49.2,"end_s":50.36,"text":"from a one-off builder.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":52.44,"end_s":59.08,"text":"We also ran into like a whack ton of issues on the shoot. The shoot, I don't know if it'll show up in the full video,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":59.08,"end_s":64.08,"text":"took eight, 10 hours of assemble time","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":64.08,"end_s":69.36,"text":"and a lot of that was double stacked people. So like me and Linus or me and Jake.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":69.36,"end_s":74.04,"text":"There was one part during the video where Linus had like 35 minutes before writer's meeting","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":74.04,"end_s":79.72,"text":"that he had to be at. And so me, him and Jake were speed building, bending.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":79.72,"end_s":83.56,"text":"There was like four, like six hands all just like working on this.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":83.56,"end_s":88.04,"text":"Meanwhile, Vance is standing in the background like writer's meeting in 10 minutes, Linus.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":88.04,"end_s":91.12,"text":"He's like, yep, we're, Jake. But man, it came together","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":91.12,"end_s":95.2,"text":"and if you see the B roll in the full video, it looked frickin' awesome.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":95.2,"end_s":98.28,"text":"It was so sick. Well, is there anything interesting about the computer","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":98.28,"end_s":101.44,"text":"that didn't make it to the main video? Oh, you know what?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":101.44,"end_s":104.4,"text":"The monoblock. I know we're gonna cut out a huge chunk.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":105.24,"end_s":109.84,"text":"I just threw a screw. I cannot lose that screw. Nah, ooh, crap, I'm drippin' water.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":110.84,"end_s":115.56,"text":"Linus went into this very confident with this monoblock. He's done however many now, so many.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":115.56,"end_s":118.96,"text":"When we started going, we just ripped everything apart, started to try to put it all back on","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":118.96,"end_s":122.48,"text":"and put it back together. We didn't realize that there's slightly different revisions","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":122.48,"end_s":127.16,"text":"between this one and like revision one. This is like revision 1.1 or something.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":127.16,"end_s":131.08,"text":"And it actually uses a mixture of the original motherboard hardware.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":131.08,"end_s":134.52,"text":"So like one of these standoffs and then some EK stuff.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":134.52,"end_s":137.96,"text":"So we ended up getting mixed and matched and it was horrible.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":137.96,"end_s":142.12,"text":"The monoblock alone took an hour and a half. And I wanted to die the entire time","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":142.12,"end_s":144.56,"text":"because I was like, this is gonna take forever.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":145.56,"end_s":150.64,"text":"They had originally planned two hours for this shoot. And if it was an hour and a half for the monoblock,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":150.64,"end_s":155.64,"text":"you can kind of imagine how I was feeling. So, hey, Glenith.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":156.72,"end_s":160.48,"text":"Glen, come here. I wanna ask you questions.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":160.48,"end_s":163.8,"text":"The floaters wanna ask you. How was the shoot? It was long.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":163.8,"end_s":169.92,"text":"It was long. It was very long. The second day it was 10 a.m. start till 6.30.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":169.92,"end_s":173.76,"text":"Yeah, and basically we started, we went with Linus for like what,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":173.76,"end_s":177.92,"text":"two and a half, three hours. He bailed to go do another shoot.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":177.92,"end_s":181.48,"text":"We kept going. It was good though, it's fun. Oh yeah, it's really fun.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":181.48,"end_s":185.04,"text":"And it looked amazing in the end. I actually have a really good picture on my phone","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":185.04,"end_s":188.56,"text":"and I'm sure you guys got good B-roll too but when it was on the wall,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":188.56,"end_s":192.88,"text":"it casted this really cool rainbow effect from the water block.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":192.88,"end_s":196.32,"text":"Totally worth it. And it worked in one try. So no leak, no nothing.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":196.32,"end_s":199.96,"text":"Yeah. That was great. I was so excited. For a first custom build,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":199.96,"end_s":204.72,"text":"I was like, this is gonna leak. Especially because we added stupid fittings.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":204.72,"end_s":208.32,"text":"This one here. Linus was like, we could get a longer tube","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":208.32,"end_s":212.48,"text":"or we could add humility extenders is what he ended up calling them.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":212.48,"end_s":215.88,"text":"All right, I gotta go back and do the B-roll. I'm sorry. He's a busy man.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":215.88,"end_s":220.16,"text":"Thanks for your quick lead, bye. The ended value of this PC was something stupid","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":220.16,"end_s":225.16,"text":"because the computer case we paid on eBay for 330 U.S.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":225.44,"end_s":229.04,"text":"and each of these fittings is $12.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":229.04,"end_s":234.04,"text":"For example, these corner fittings, $12, $12, $16.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":235.0,"end_s":238.56,"text":"So EK was kind of a big bro on this, man.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":238.56,"end_s":242.68,"text":"They sent it all over, like didn't even ask a question. They were like, sure.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":244.16,"end_s":248.08,"text":"And sneak peek for you guys on Floatplane. A while back on Reddit,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":248.08,"end_s":252.92,"text":"I had asked what would a CEO PC be like? And you guys had ended up voting,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":252.92,"end_s":257.28,"text":"it would be chrome or gold. Well, we're gonna take these fittings","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":257.28,"end_s":261.76,"text":"and deploy them on Taren's PC, which we got a case ordered by the way","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":261.76,"end_s":263.76,"text":"from Sinister Cases.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":265.0,"end_s":270.0,"text":"I think when we ordered it, it was $5,000 U.S. Geez, how much does it know?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":270.0,"end_s":273.4,"text":"They've dropped the price a little bit. I think it's because we're actually still getting","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":273.4,"end_s":279.18,"text":"like a more premium material. I have to go back through my emails, but we're getting like an insane computer.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":279.18,"end_s":283.16,"text":"And then putting these gold fittings on it, it's like, the computer's gonna be stupid.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":283.16,"end_s":287.08,"text":"It's gonna be like a $10,000 art piece, essentially. And it's gonna be in his office","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":287.08,"end_s":294.04,"text":"and he's gonna still use his laptop. So yeah, but yeah.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":294.04,"end_s":298.32,"text":"Usually you'd buy like a six pack or something from EK for like 20 or 22 bucks or whatever.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":298.32,"end_s":304.96,"text":"I don't actually know. Again, never water cooled, but $6 a fitting or $12 a fitting is insane.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":304.96,"end_s":308.2,"text":"Man, it was nerve wracking, but in the end I had a ton of fun water cooling","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":308.2,"end_s":312.04,"text":"for the first time. I'll never do it again. I'll never water cool.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":312.04,"end_s":315.94,"text":"It was dumb. And like the amount of work","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":315.94,"end_s":321.1,"text":"and just the worry and the panic and whatever, but for these type of builds,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":321.1,"end_s":326.22,"text":"sure, maybe we'll water cool again in the future. What's what takeaway for anyone that wants to water cool their PC?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":326.22,"end_s":329.46,"text":"Planning is definitely important. And it's what we ended up doing, right?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":329.46,"end_s":333.32,"text":"You know, planning the loop order, planning the parts you're gonna use.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":333.32,"end_s":337.14,"text":"It's really, really important. I think one thing that does help is having experience.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":337.14,"end_s":341.52,"text":"So watching a ton of videos or if you have a buddy that like has done it before,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":341.52,"end_s":345.18,"text":"ask for help because there's no shame in asking for help the first time you do it.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":345.18,"end_s":346.98,"text":"There's shame the second time, but.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":348.5,"end_s":354.58,"text":"Planning it out and making sure you have everything. Have tons of extras, you know, like buy 10 extra fittings","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":354.58,"end_s":361.86,"text":"because you never know if you're gonna break O-rings or something, right? Saying that buying 10 extra $12 fittings is $120.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":361.86,"end_s":367.14,"text":"Don't rush it yourself. Take your time doing it. You know, we're, we had three,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":367.14,"end_s":371.22,"text":"well, two pretty expert people doing water cooling and then a junior.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":371.22,"end_s":374.62,"text":"So we took some paths of, okay, let's spend this like this.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":374.62,"end_s":377.98,"text":"This is great. It works, you know, we split up the workload.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":377.98,"end_s":384.02,"text":"So it looked chaotic and looked very rushed for us, but, you know, we knew what we were doing the whole time.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":384.02,"end_s":387.9,"text":"Well, at least they did. I was just water cooling, yay.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":387.9,"end_s":391.26,"text":"Water going, whoosh. Yeah.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":391.26,"end_s":396.38,"text":"Oh man, and filling it was interesting in this PC because some PCs, you know, when you have your tower,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":396.38,"end_s":402.52,"text":"you'll have like your fill port at the top and at your highest location. And for us, it ended up being this hole right here.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":402.52,"end_s":405.56,"text":"So when it was up vertically, that's your highest point.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":405.56,"end_s":409.48,"text":"But the problem is when you're filling it, you're kind of filling it laid down","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":409.48,"end_s":415.32,"text":"or you're on a weird, awkward angle. So for our case, filling it was very strange and very odd.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":415.32,"end_s":419.44,"text":"Yeah, you can actually see in there. I don't know if the lighting will be bad. So yeah, that O-ring actually got mangled","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":419.44,"end_s":423.28,"text":"because if you look, this pipe wasn't cut perfectly clean.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":423.28,"end_s":427.36,"text":"I don't know if it'll pick up very well on camera. Yeah, it's kind of tough to see, but,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":427.36,"end_s":431.64,"text":"but because of those sharp edges, you know, we ended up breaking an O-ring off,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":431.68,"end_s":436.2,"text":"which is a little annoying. Spend more time sanding, taking it a little bit slow, you know,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":436.2,"end_s":437.04,"text":"but...","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":441.72,"end_s":444.88,"text":"Ah! Uh-oh, and don't lose those. What'd you draw?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":444.88,"end_s":448.36,"text":"The rubber O-rings. Right there.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":449.88,"end_s":453.2,"text":"Don't lose those. Do you have any questions, Sammy? Have you ever water-cooled a PC?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":453.2,"end_s":457.44,"text":"No, I specifically requested never buy anything water-cooled","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":457.44,"end_s":460.92,"text":"because it looks like some tassel. Yeah, I mean...","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":461.36,"end_s":466.6,"text":"I only buy AIOs and never cleaned it. Technically, AIOs, you're supposed to like refill","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":466.6,"end_s":469.64,"text":"and, you know, all that stuff too. Yes, you are.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":469.64,"end_s":473.96,"text":"Don't say no, just because you don't doesn't mean you're not supposed to.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":473.96,"end_s":478.64,"text":"Yeah, you guys are supposed to, but just like, you're supposed to say like, we're a seatbelt. Not sure I should say that, am I?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":478.64,"end_s":481.36,"text":"You're supposed to wear a seatbelt, but I don't.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":482.24,"end_s":486.0,"text":"No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Do you guys, did you know that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":486.0,"end_s":490.64,"text":"when seatbelts were becoming like mandatory, there was actually a movement where you could buy a t-shirt","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":490.64,"end_s":494.76,"text":"that had a black bar going from the top left to the bottom right,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":494.76,"end_s":499.24,"text":"so that way you could wear the t-shirt in the car. So it would look like you're wearing your seatbelt","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":499.24,"end_s":503.12,"text":"and so you wouldn't get pulled over. I feel like it's more effort, you should wear your seatbelt.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":503.12,"end_s":506.44,"text":"I know. How much does it all roughly cost? Do we mention that in the video?","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":506.44,"end_s":508.56,"text":"Oh, we didn't even mention that in the video.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":510.24,"end_s":516.08,"text":"I would have to do the math. The cable mod cables alone are another like 125","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":516.08,"end_s":521.8,"text":"if you bought them, 150. This GPU is like pre-blocked.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":521.8,"end_s":526.84,"text":"I think it's 2400 or something like that. You can't even buy this GPU anymore, actually.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":526.84,"end_s":531.8,"text":"The metal fans are also like 100. I'll get Sammy the number, he can flash it on screen here","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":531.8,"end_s":536.92,"text":"unless he doesn't want to, cause he's lazy. So when I joined the writing department in August,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":536.92,"end_s":540.72,"text":"or no, I joined the writing department in about September, mid-September.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":540.72,"end_s":545.08,"text":"This shoot had already been planned and it was actually gonna be Alex's video,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":545.08,"end_s":548.96,"text":"but Alex didn't wanna do it. He basically just got distracted,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":548.96,"end_s":552.88,"text":"was doing a bunch of other stuff, right? He didn't have time for this build.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":552.88,"end_s":558.12,"text":"So one of my first assignments was, Elijah, you're taking over the humble PC.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":558.12,"end_s":562.52,"text":"I had no idea what it meant. So when I went to do a scrum with Linus,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":562.52,"end_s":566.32,"text":"which is what we do a little bit of planning before to make sure there's even a video,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":566.32,"end_s":570.0,"text":"I was like, what's the goal of this video? He's like, humble PC.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":570.0,"end_s":573.0,"text":"I just dripped water all over this RAM, very cool.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":573.0,"end_s":575.52,"text":"Oh, God. Aw.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":576.8,"end_s":580.48,"text":"Can you cut this, Sammy? I don't want anyone, no, Sammy, please cut this. It was all me.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":580.48,"end_s":584.16,"text":"Sammy, please cut this. No, no, no, no, no. Wait, it's just water.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":584.16,"end_s":588.16,"text":"No, no, no. Got busy, didn't end up getting it done. And so when I scrummed with Linus,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":588.16,"end_s":592.2,"text":"all he said was, it is humble PC.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":592.2,"end_s":597.6,"text":"And I kid you not. And I was like, what does that mean? He's like, it is humble PC.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":597.6,"end_s":602.12,"text":"What does that mean? Well, apparently the guy's listing on Facebook slash,","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":602.12,"end_s":609.68,"text":"or on eBay slash Etsy, it just said, humble PC made to hang magnificent computer","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":610.64,"end_s":614.6,"text":"part on wall. So I had to decipher what that meant from Linus.","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":614.6,"end_s":618.0,"text":"And there you go. It was one of the first videos I was assigned","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":618.0,"end_s":621.04,"text":"and it just kept getting delayed because I ended up doing the AMD upgrades","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":621.04,"end_s":624.64,"text":"and so many other videos. We had to actually take the CPU out because they're doing a ShortCircuit on that specific CPU. And so Sammy was just like, hey, let's talk about the humble PC. Cause you know, it was actually my first time water cooling and I know we joked about it in the video, but I was really nervous doing this whole build and I was really excited. In the end, I only actually bent two tubes, which was these two. But to my credit, okay, Linus said they were good, hard stop period. It wasn't supposed to have any bends. We were actually supposed to use these corner fittings on absolutely everything. But then Linus was like, nah, that's not very humble. It was an interesting project to work on. There was lots to do with it. The case was tons of fun to work with for being like kind of a niche Etsy style case from a one-off builder. We also ran into like a whack ton of issues on the shoot. The shoot, I don't know if it'll show up in the full video, took eight, 10 hours of assemble time and a lot of that was double stacked people. So like me and Linus or me and Jake. There was one part during the video where Linus had like 35 minutes before writer's meeting that he had to be at. And so me, him and Jake were speed building, bending. There was like four, like six hands all just like working on this. Meanwhile, Vance is standing in the background like writer's meeting in 10 minutes, Linus. He's like, yep, we're, Jake. But man, it came together and if you see the B roll in the full video, it looked frickin' awesome. It was so sick. Well, is there anything interesting about the computer that didn't make it to the main video? Oh, you know what? The monoblock. I know we're gonna cut out a huge chunk. I just threw a screw. I cannot lose that screw. Nah, ooh, crap, I'm drippin' water. Linus went into this very confident with this monoblock. He's done however many now, so many. When we started going, we just ripped everything apart, started to try to put it all back on and put it back together. We didn't realize that there's slightly different revisions between this one and like revision one. This is like revision 1.1 or something. And it actually uses a mixture of the original motherboard hardware. So like one of these standoffs and then some EK stuff. So we ended up getting mixed and matched and it was horrible. The monoblock alone took an hour and a half. And I wanted to die the entire time because I was like, this is gonna take forever. They had originally planned two hours for this shoot. And if it was an hour and a half for the monoblock, you can kind of imagine how I was feeling. So, hey, Glenith. Glen, come here. I wanna ask you questions. The floaters wanna ask you. How was the shoot? It was long. It was long. It was very long. The second day it was 10 a.m. start till 6.30. Yeah, and basically we started, we went with Linus for like what, two and a half, three hours. He bailed to go do another shoot. We kept going. It was good though, it's fun. Oh yeah, it's really fun. And it looked amazing in the end. I actually have a really good picture on my phone and I'm sure you guys got good B-roll too but when it was on the wall, it casted this really cool rainbow effect from the water block. Totally worth it. And it worked in one try. So no leak, no nothing. Yeah. That was great. I was so excited. For a first custom build, I was like, this is gonna leak. Especially because we added stupid fittings. This one here. Linus was like, we could get a longer tube or we could add humility extenders is what he ended up calling them. All right, I gotta go back and do the B-roll. I'm sorry. He's a busy man. Thanks for your quick lead, bye. The ended value of this PC was something stupid because the computer case we paid on eBay for 330 U.S. and each of these fittings is $12. For example, these corner fittings, $12, $12, $16. So EK was kind of a big bro on this, man. They sent it all over, like didn't even ask a question. They were like, sure. And sneak peek for you guys on Floatplane. A while back on Reddit, I had asked what would a CEO PC be like? And you guys had ended up voting, it would be chrome or gold. Well, we're gonna take these fittings and deploy them on Taren's PC, which we got a case ordered by the way from Sinister Cases. I think when we ordered it, it was $5,000 U.S. Geez, how much does it know? They've dropped the price a little bit. I think it's because we're actually still getting like a more premium material. I have to go back through my emails, but we're getting like an insane computer. And then putting these gold fittings on it, it's like, the computer's gonna be stupid. It's gonna be like a $10,000 art piece, essentially. And it's gonna be in his office and he's gonna still use his laptop. So yeah, but yeah. Usually you'd buy like a six pack or something from EK for like 20 or 22 bucks or whatever. I don't actually know. Again, never water cooled, but $6 a fitting or $12 a fitting is insane. Man, it was nerve wracking, but in the end I had a ton of fun water cooling for the first time. I'll never do it again. I'll never water cool. It was dumb. And like the amount of work and just the worry and the panic and whatever, but for these type of builds, sure, maybe we'll water cool again in the future. What's what takeaway for anyone that wants to water cool their PC? Planning is definitely important. And it's what we ended up doing, right? You know, planning the loop order, planning the parts you're gonna use. It's really, really important. I think one thing that does help is having experience. So watching a ton of videos or if you have a buddy that like has done it before, ask for help because there's no shame in asking for help the first time you do it. There's shame the second time, but. Planning it out and making sure you have everything. Have tons of extras, you know, like buy 10 extra fittings because you never know if you're gonna break O-rings or something, right? Saying that buying 10 extra $12 fittings is $120. Don't rush it yourself. Take your time doing it. You know, we're, we had three, well, two pretty expert people doing water cooling and then a junior. So we took some paths of, okay, let's spend this like this. This is great. It works, you know, we split up the workload. So it looked chaotic and looked very rushed for us, but, you know, we knew what we were doing the whole time. Well, at least they did. I was just water cooling, yay. Water going, whoosh. Yeah. Oh man, and filling it was interesting in this PC because some PCs, you know, when you have your tower, you'll have like your fill port at the top and at your highest location. And for us, it ended up being this hole right here. So when it was up vertically, that's your highest point. But the problem is when you're filling it, you're kind of filling it laid down or you're on a weird, awkward angle. So for our case, filling it was very strange and very odd. Yeah, you can actually see in there. I don't know if the lighting will be bad. So yeah, that O-ring actually got mangled because if you look, this pipe wasn't cut perfectly clean. I don't know if it'll pick up very well on camera. Yeah, it's kind of tough to see, but, but because of those sharp edges, you know, we ended up breaking an O-ring off, which is a little annoying. Spend more time sanding, taking it a little bit slow, you know, but... Ah! Uh-oh, and don't lose those. What'd you draw? The rubber O-rings. Right there. Don't lose those. Do you have any questions, Sammy? Have you ever water-cooled a PC? No, I specifically requested never buy anything water-cooled because it looks like some tassel. Yeah, I mean... I only buy AIOs and never cleaned it. Technically, AIOs, you're supposed to like refill and, you know, all that stuff too. Yes, you are. Don't say no, just because you don't doesn't mean you're not supposed to. Yeah, you guys are supposed to, but just like, you're supposed to say like, we're a seatbelt. Not sure I should say that, am I? You're supposed to wear a seatbelt, but I don't. No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Do you guys, did you know that when seatbelts were becoming like mandatory, there was actually a movement where you could buy a t-shirt that had a black bar going from the top left to the bottom right, so that way you could wear the t-shirt in the car. So it would look like you're wearing your seatbelt and so you wouldn't get pulled over. I feel like it's more effort, you should wear your seatbelt. I know. How much does it all roughly cost? Do we mention that in the video? Oh, we didn't even mention that in the video. I would have to do the math. The cable mod cables alone are another like 125 if you bought them, 150. This GPU is like pre-blocked. I think it's 2400 or something like that. You can't even buy this GPU anymore, actually. The metal fans are also like 100. I'll get Sammy the number, he can flash it on screen here unless he doesn't want to, cause he's lazy. So when I joined the writing department in August, or no, I joined the writing department in about September, mid-September. This shoot had already been planned and it was actually gonna be Alex's video, but Alex didn't wanna do it. He basically just got distracted, was doing a bunch of other stuff, right? He didn't have time for this build. So one of my first assignments was, Elijah, you're taking over the humble PC. I had no idea what it meant. So when I went to do a scrum with Linus, which is what we do a little bit of planning before to make sure there's even a video, I was like, what's the goal of this video? He's like, humble PC. I just dripped water all over this RAM, very cool. Oh, God. Aw. Can you cut this, Sammy? I don't want anyone, no, Sammy, please cut this. It was all me. Sammy, please cut this. No, no, no, no, no. Wait, it's just water. No, no, no. Got busy, didn't end up getting it done. And so when I scrummed with Linus, all he said was, it is humble PC. And I kid you not. And I was like, what does that mean? He's like, it is humble PC. What does that mean? Well, apparently the guy's listing on Facebook slash, or on eBay slash Etsy, it just said, humble PC made to hang magnificent computer part on wall. So I had to decipher what that meant from Linus. And there you go. It was one of the first videos I was assigned and it just kept getting delayed because I ended up doing the AMD upgrades and so many other videos. Oh my God. It's falling down. I haven't hurt myself more than 10 times since. That's not a statement. It is a statement. It's a factual statement. That's not a statement you should be proud of. You know what? You're right. Ah! It is humble PC. This PC is the PC that will humble you. Oh, crazy. So would you do anything different about this shoot? Rather than making it not spend an hour and a half on the monoblock? Yeah, I probably wouldn't have done, I mean, that's probably one of the biggest ones. I probably wouldn't have done a monoblock or I would have had the, it's tough. This is one of the things that people don't understand from a viewer's side. So I'm gonna give you guys a little bit of insight. Sometimes we hear, oh, why wasn't this planned? Why wasn't this done beforehand? Or why did we spend so long on specific parts? And it comes down to one of two reasons. Number one is we want to include it in the video. For example, if we just had the CPU in there with the monoblock installed, there would have been someone being like, how do we know it is a 1400KS in there? How, what if it's just an I-38th gen, right? Like people don't, if you don't see it, they don't get it sometimes. And the other reason why we do it is because Linus tells us we have to. And in this case, he said monoblock. I mean, did it make the video better with the monoblock? I think I had some good laughs with Linus. I think the result might have been the exact same, whether it was a monoblock or a CPU block. But that is up for interpretation. People can leave it in the comments. Yeah, I leave it in the comments. I don't know. I know all of you would have been like, it would be better with two monoblocks. I don't know. If you guys have questions, you can leave them in the Floatplane comments and I'll log into my Floatplane account and maybe answer some of them. Other than that, I really hope you guys enjoyed both that video and even just a sneak peek of how video production works and my first time water cooling. If you guys want to see more water cooling, just don't ask about it for me, but we'll see how it goes. Thanks, float. What do you guys call Floatplane people now? I don't know. We did floaties, floaters, pilots, passengers, pilots. Floatatins. That's my word. All right, float. Have a good day, floatatins. That's really hard to say. Floatatins."}
