We've looked at gun mice before. Mice in the shape of guns. And you know what, I like them. But Ragnoc has released the new model, the Ragnoc Ergo Strike 7. And it's got some fancy new features that might make this the absolute best gaming mouse gun on the whole market. Sure, that might be a little bit niche, but it doesn't matter when it's something that's cool. And I think that making your peripherals be more like the device that you're using in a game can be pretty cool. If you're using your mouse to play shooters, why not have your mouse be a gun? Inside our box, we have our user manual. We have some extra skates for when these wear out. We also have a USB A to C adapter dongle buddy. And then we have what looks to be a six. How did I make a knot so quickly? Incredible, I should be a sailor. That's about five feet, but it is braided and it has that little shielding thing. The sleeving on the cable is not like tight to the cable. It kind of like slides around. It's not a huge, huge deal, but I could see this wearing if this got caught kind of between the wall and was rubbing. I think it would pile pretty quick, but the quality of the cable is fine. That's it for what's inside the box. Let's take a look at the mouse itself. It is a lot bigger than the previous one. This palm grip is just massive. Holy smokes, that is a design decision. It's certainly hand gripable with all the buttons inaccessible places, but I feel like it really removes my immediate feedback to the desk because I'm so lifted onto this mouse. It feels like I'm like two degrees separate from the actual table. Not the end of the world, but I like having like a finger dragging along. Maybe that's just a personal thing. Maybe that's even a bad thing. But what I will say is that it's fairly ergonomic. Like this is a very natural grip shape with no breaks in my ARM. The movement of the wrist is a little uncomfortable because it's not quite like straight breaking like this and it's not straight going aside. It's kind of like at a bit of an angle because of it, but it's not too bad. I feel like I'll end up just kind of using my full ARM. In terms of grip size, I think it's for medium to big hands. It's not really for small hands. I don't have particularly big hands, but it's at the edge of what I would enjoy wrapping my meaty fist around. That grip is like a rubberized grip. You can see that it's a little bit two-toned from the hard plastic here. This feels like the kind of rubber that will degrade really, really, really, really fast. But it's a novelty, so it doesn't have to last as long, I guess. You're not pulling this out to play all your games, but it feels already a little bit like that oily, rubbery feeling as it's degrading, kind of not quite sticky, but easily to gunk up. I can also see that the different types of plastic don't line up perfectly. And it's kind of in perfect molding, too. It's gonna be hard to show on camera, but here there's like a divot that catches the light a little bit. And then one up here, probably can't see it. Not a huge deal. It also doesn't line up perfectly. It's not like it's uncomfortable, like the back is worse. And it's not where your fingers are going, so it's not a huge huge deal. On this side, we have our scroll wheel that also clicks. We have button one, two, three. So three buttons on the side, four if you count the scroll will click. On the front, we have our trigger, which feels like a mouse switch this time, not a keyboard switch. Pretty clicky, still got pretty good movement. I think I'd like to see it really be a trigger pull, but not so bad. Another button down here, I'm guessing that's a right click. And then on the top, we have our settings for the recoil, as well as our little thing that does recoil. I'm really excited to see how that feels in my hand. Apparently this is actually designed to fit the Lego spacing, so you can put a little Lego figurine on here if you really want to. Not sure why, other than I guess it's a spot for decor, but I don't hate it. On the bottom, we have our skates. Looks fairly widespread. We have our sensor right at the front of the base, which is sort of surprising. Generally the mice sensors are pretty close to the middle, but when you look at the whole gun mouse from front to back, it's a little closer to the center than I immediately thought. So that is about right. We also have our DPI button, as well as our mode toggle. This is a wireless mouse, but it can work wired through USB-C on the front, or via Bluetooth or 2.4 gigahertz dongle. Besides those switches, we have the spot for our dongle. I'm a big fan of having a spot on your devices for their wireless dongles, just so it's a little bit harder to lose them. And on a mouse this big and heavy, there is no excuse. We also have the black model here, which is, in my opinion, the much better looking one. I also think this rubber feels less dunky. This doesn't feel nice. That feels pretty premium. So, you know what? This black one actually has a keyboard switch, which is no longer available. Only the mouse clicky one is available. It's a trade-off. This has a much better travel, so it feels like I'm pulling a trigger more, but this has much better feedback in terms of the click when I hit the click. I think overall I still prefer the mouse clicky one. Speaking of how all the buttons feel, these I would consider like adequate. The front back buttons are definitely okay. This button is fine. I actually like to click on the mouse wheel a fair bit. This one is the worst one. This right click is really mushy. Also, it looks really uneven. Like if you press here, it's like, it will click, but it's just kind of like that. Meh, meh, like that just, this is nasty. But it doesn't feel like a very premium product. In the way that I felt like the last generation one did. Let's get it out and compare. It feels like an entirely different product. I mean, it is, it's a successor, but the original one feels a lot more like holding a pistol grip, but it is a very light plastic and these switches really suck. It's also much less trigger-like than the actual trigger on the new one. And so in terms of shape, I like this better. In terms of, you know, realism, I like this one, I guess. I guess you could also get like a pistol grip on your gun that has like a, you know, a big drum mag or something. I don't know. Guys, I don't know nothing about guns. It's hard to deny that the new one is a huge improvement in terms of placement of things and overall quality, but I do think they lost something with making it more ergonomic versus feeling like holding a gun. That's a tough trade-off. Just like it's tough. Every second, I don't spend telling you about our sponsor. I got feedback. That's all they could pull off? You can import and export your settings. You can change the debounce time. We can change our DPI settings. I'm gonna keep it at 800, that's what I like. We can change our polling rate because thankfully this is 1000 Hertz mouse, which is definitely adequate for the gaming space. And we actually did some Labs testing, which summed up, it's pretty okay. It's not gonna win any awards for being competitive shooter mouse, but it lands kind of somewhere in the middle with about 10 milliseconds of input latency from a click over its dongle. And so you won't really be impacted negatively by the performance of the mouse, but if you are competitively minded, you weren't gonna get this mouse anyway, so it's fine. We got our sensor settings. That's right, we have a PAW3395 in here, which is a flawless sensor, great choice, very standard sensor amongst very decent mice. I forget that it does it every time. I'm clicking and dragging like that. I'm just dragging a window around, but I'm shooting guns, fantastic. Down here we have some sensor settings. We can go in high power or low power mode. High power, maybe. We have our lift off distance if we're having trouble tracking as we're lifting. And we have our high performance mode, interesting, where we can turn off how long the mouse goes to sleep in. How long the mouse goes to sleep in? Let's leave it at 15 minutes. On the right, we have ripple control, angle snap and motion sync, which they're mostly settings meant to mitigate some of the smoothing issues of super, super sensitive mice. But I played 800, so that's not an issue. Under here we can change what our light, DPI light looks like, I'm going to leave it. Over here we have our macros, although on their website, they specifically don't recommend using this. Not sure what that means. Not a big deal for me, I don't use macros. So that's fine, we got RGB control, rainbow stream, there's nothing better, brightness, speed. Turn off lights while moving. How would I want that? I don't understand. What a strange granular setting. I think RGB is almost mandatory for gimmicky products but it sucks they didn't embrace the gunness of this mouse. I really wish it was just like black and metal, but this one also has RGB. I don't know, I feel like they're really missing out on having that bro-dude aesthetic with this thing. Huh, okay, that's it for the software. Why don't we play a game? Feels pretty decent as a mouse. I really don't like how hefty this platform is.
