And at the nighttime, I don't know if you can tell now, but the way this thing is lit is so impressive. All around the sides light up when you go to get in at night. It looks so thick. Fun fact, if you buy this in BC, you need to pay a gas guzzler tax of $2,000 because the efficiency of this thing is just absolutely horrendous. And all of this side here is the enclosure for it. So you have like a 20 liter volume for the sub to, you know, do it stuff. It bumps pretty hard. Now we fortunately have adjustable bolsters right here. So that can come in and hug me nice. Now that said, the bottom of the seat is, um, it's pretty American spec. So you know, I sit on it, it feels just fine. If your arse is like twice as large as mine, you're still going to be very comfortable in this. Whereas like you get in my golf and it's not going to be fun. We also have a massive panoramic, we have a massive panoramic sunroof. And what's very nice is a lot of the time when you have huge pieces of glass like this, you don't get an actual sunroof, but here, boom, you get a sunroof as well. I absolutely love to see that. We have Android Auto, which is excellent because Cadillac software leaves a little bit to be desired. It's not the worst. It's not the best. Uh, you control all of it through here. Oh, just have a little look right here. It does kind of suck how this is like, it doesn't occupy the whole screen. Whereas you go to the Cadillac interface and it just looks way nicer when you go to the little knobby here. This is my favorite way to interact with it. You just go in here, press sick, play crab rave on title. So we do have some options here. This has the AKG 36 speaker studio reference sound thing. And we have the option. So you put it to stereo here and you get no surround and I don't know, it sounds very stereo. You can go all the way to surround 3d and basically what you're doing is sacrificing clarity for more effect. So if we get it all the way over there, it's fully enveloping me, but at the same time, I feel like you lose a lot of detail. I like it somewhere in the middle. Okay, let's uh, let's just go full gross. One thing that is very unfortunate about this is that you only get options for travel, mid range and bass. I really wish that they had a subwoofer option because I don't like bumping the bass because that starts somewhere around like 200 Hertz and goes down. I find that that just kind of muddies everything. Whereas like, I want a subwoofer one so that somewhere around like 40 Hertz, we can pick it up because when you're driving around all of the bumps on the road and stuff, I feel like they kind of mask the low frequencies. So like, I really like it when in a car, you can from 40 to like 15 db, just have like a five db tilt or something like that. So like when you get those like big old bass drops, it just feels like it continues on forever. I love it. That said, it's very hard to complain about this system. It's not, I find the treble a little bit tiring when you listen to it at high volumes because like we've got like speaker here, two there, couple there. I'm guessing that there's just a whole bunch of nodes because you have, you have 36 freaking speakers. Like there's no way that they're going to be able to perfectly match everything to where your head is. So you're going to have like this one and this one and that guy and I don't know, there's a whole bunch of speakers right here. I think those are mics, but maybe there's speakers too. It's hard to tell. There's so freaking many of them, but you're going to have issues with the waves from like this speaker and this one and this one constructively and deconstructively interfering depending on where your head is. And I'm guessing that's why I find it a little bit tiring after a while. That said, you can really feel the rumble as it goes down. I'm just going to go straight to my frequency generator app here. Can we just put on a song that we aren't really allowed to? Sure. This is Bass I Love You and it has like seven Hertz tones in it. It's stupid. We'll just crank it. Yeah, so like, yeah, so that does have seven Hertz notes in it, which we don't feel here, but also I would never expect a car to reproduce seven Hertz. That's just stupid. But like, it's able to go sub 20. Like, it can go lower than your hearing actually can get and you're just feeling it in your arse, which is incredible. I wouldn't say it's as good as the Volvo. That like, really frickin' went. Like, that would go so far down and deep and it would just keep on digging. It was incredible. This can't quite do that, but this is probably more accurate at those low frequencies. Like, it feels like this has a sealed sub that is very accurately going down past 40 Hertz, whereas the Volvo I think was, you're getting a fair bit of distortion because the whole chassis is bonded to the sub and just being like, one thing that's nice got a 360 camera. I have no clue how you would park without it. That said, like I have parked very large like Silverados and ship before without a 360 camera and man is just fine. But like, this right here, you can easily put into like a small car parking spot and just fill it side to side and be completely accurate. You're not like that douchebag that's like taking up two spots. Well, unless you want to be, you can do that in this. I'm sure many people do. So yeah, when you come up, you get a light all the way underneath there and also the Cadillac logo being projected from right there. So you can see it moves along. Are you being able to pick that up on the camera? Nice. Especially with the way that the lights and the taillights and this right here comes on when you walk up to it. It is friggin impressive at night time because the whole thing like whole 360 is just illuminated. It's so sick. So compared to some of the other SUVs that we've been driving around, like particularly the BMW ix, the chassis control is just not there. Like we do have, like, well GM's done their best. The best that they could do with a body on frame thing. We have air suspension. We have their maglev stuff. It has a bunch of adaptive modes and they have done an exceptional job with the tuning. All right, slow down here. 30 kilometers per hour for the children's zone. I'm going to go 25 just because this thing's like instakill. One hit, one shot, for sure. Like especially at lower speeds or when you get like the bumps that aren't so much like bumps, but like the impulses, like right here where you just have a bit where they tore up some of the road. Those right there really get transmitted through the chassis. It's like kind of like a like, again, if you've driven a truck before, it feels like you're driving a truck. That said, it does have all of the truck things that you would want. We have the whole tow package. You're able to adjust your trailer brakes over here. Love to see that. If I was very rich and owned a bunch of dirt bikes and dune buggies and wanted to drive across the U.S. and did not care about gas mileage, I would choose this. Okay, flow plane. This is our one corner that we get on our way to the super cruise destination that I'm going to be doing a short on. So you're put into sport mode, which it actually does work fairly well. The maglev does an excellent job at like taking out the wallow of the touring mode when you put it into sport. Actually, let's put it into four high as well. Oh, we're going to do our one corner behind a bus. That's kind of disappointing. Oh, wait, no. But there's people that stop. You don't have to stop there. It's a merge. You're in an Audi. Our one corner. Okay, we're doing it at 47 and that felt pretty fast. For context in my golf, I can do that at 90 and it feels totally fine. Okay, let's look at the acceleration. Here we go. We're going 65, floor it. It takes a moment. It does take a little while, but once it downshifts and, you know, gets all of that natural aspiration on the go, it's not that fast. Can you look up the zero to 60, Arthur? I'm guessing it's like 7.4 seconds. That's that's my guess. 5.25. Does this have like an incredible launch? 5.0 way. Hot damn. Okay, so we confirmed it. The zero to 60 of this is 5.1 seconds. So this must have an absolutely insane launch. I haven't actually like launched it yet. Like brake boosted because like, I don't know. This isn't exactly the type of car that you do that in, but I guess we maybe need to try that out. Okay, bonus, bonus. We get one more corner. Now this right here, I would normally do, this feels pretty good at like 100 in my golf. I can do it at a little bit more than that. Coming in here, I would normally be at about somewhere around like 80. We are currently at 58 and it feels way too fast. We are, she's right, right over. Oh, no, no. I hit the gas there. And the second that it started to pitch back, the front wheels just lost all of their grip. Oh, there's no one behind us though. Should we just try and launch it? Yeah, that's good. All right. We have to be fast. There's a truck behind us. Okay, someone, someone can clip that and figure out exactly what the time was. I need to, I really need to go into my golf and properly time it. We do have a draggy. So I think my golf is way faster than I thought now that I've tickled it with some modifications. Because it's way faster than this. Either that or Cadillac was just lying. It is pretty impressive though that it knew which lane I was in. Okay, super cruise. Driving next, I'm not in the exit lane anymore. God damn it. Okay, go over here. We're definitely not in an exit lane anymore. Super cruise. Okay, we got super cruise. Hell yeah, here we go. It honestly works incredibly well. Like I consider Tesla's autopilot stuff to kind of be like all of the stress of having a 17 year old drive your car while you are driving it. This right here is much more like a 22 year old that's like not super horny driving your car. Like they're still not amazing, but at least you're not like scared for your life. And like the biggest thing is just I feel really confident with their like adaptive cruise and the way that it goes up to other cars and sort of goes the the one thing that I don't really like is that it's not super good about like lane placement. This thing is really big. So if someone's kind of cheating over on either side, you might want to like move a little bit. But that said, it's very excellent as job right now we're driving with super cruise on and it is really freaking good. Now it only works on the very few highways where it is mapped. But when it does work, it works really freaking good. Like I am not concerned at all that we're going to run into that G 63 right there, which uh, what a loser. Jeez, what a cheap car that guy has. He probably wishes he was in this thing. But as you can see, just no hands. I actually kind of trust this. I don't super duper trust it. Like I trust myself a lot more, but compared to like autopilot or the vast majority of lane centering things. Oh, someone just cut me off. It got really mad the last time that happened. Nope, it's fine. Yeah, it didn't hate it that time. But it's doing a really good job of just safely slowing us down. Yeah, it was, that still wasn't too bad. Oh, it looks like there's an accident up here. I'm gonna take over. Look at that idiot in their big old Land Rover. Not only do they have a poor person SUV, but they got pulled over too. Yeah, the Cadillac Escalade. This thing's a hundred and forty thousand dollars Canadian. Do I want it? No, absolutely not. It's so large. It's unwieldy, but it's undeniable that has presence unlike any other vehicle on the road. You get in this thing and like you just feel like you know that Ultima in front of us. You try and break check us. They die. You have power in this thing unlike pretty much anything else. And like you combine that with the insane sound system. It's just a level of it's a level of just you to everyone else that does not exist in any other vehicle. And I kind of love it."}
