And what I found out after the video was written, the PS4 Pro sold apparently Wii U numbers. And that's lower than I expected. Obviously the Wii U wasn't a huge success. When you put it in the context of the PS4 family as an addition, it's like, that's pretty good. You know, 13 to 15 million or whatever isn't bad when you're adding it to 90 other million consoles sold. But I think Sony identified that it is a niche product and by pushing the price up a little bit higher, they might lose out on a little adoption, but they're not really going to drastically move the needle. It's gonna be like, probably Wii U numbers again is my guess. I think that they're gearing it up for a price drop. This is more speculatory. So I didn't want to put it in the video. My feeling is there is a PS5 and PS4 Pro price drop that's built into these prices and that we are due for a price drop, but they don't need to play that card yet. They're waiting till, you know, they're on the back for a little bit. Microsoft releases something really cool and they have to sell some PS5s or the Switch 2 comes out and they're like, all right, it's time we need a little PS5 steam, $50 price drop. That's my guess, guess, speculation. And that comes back to, yeah, I am probably gonna buy a PS5 Pro. It's a little bit disappointing in Canada. If I wanted the disk drive in the stand, you know, it's like $1,200, $1,300 of my money, literally rent for a lot of people. And I still want it. I have loved the PS5 games. Both Final Fantasies that came out over the last, you know, 16 months or whatever are some of my favorite console experiences of the last decade totally blew me away. I haven't cried as hard with a piece of media ever like I did with Final Fantasy XVI. 10 out of 10 for me, it is exactly the kind of game I want to play. Same with Final Fantasy VII. And I want to play those games in the highest possible fidelity. Yes, they will come to PC. Everything's coming to PC. And that's another point that I'm kind of curious about. People say that, including myself included, the PS5 doesn't have any exclusive. And that's because most of the games are on PS4, which kind of is a bummer if it's, you know, sandbagging the games that are coming on the PS5. But also they aren't exclusive because they're on PC. And that's a good thing. And so having the games on PC, is that a negative for the PS5? I'm genuinely curious what you think. Because to me, it's a good thing that they're available on PC. And so to then hold the PS, that against the PS5 is a little disingenuous. I get it because in the sense of, you don't need to own a PS5 to play those games, that's 100% true. And you don't need a PS5 Pro. Honestly, I don't need a PS5 Pro. If I had to choose one $1,000 PC or $1,000 console, you bet your ass. Sorry, Sam, that's extra work. I would choose a PC. Like there's no ifs ands or buts. When I play multi-platform games, I'm always playing on PC. There's no reason to play them on the PlayStation. But there is games that I do like playing on my PS5. A lot of them are Sony First Party or, you know, these exclusives that are coming to a console that has such a bigger adoption rate. And that's essentially my rant. PS5 Pro's too expensive. You don't need it. Nobody needs it. If you want to, if you have the disposable income, you're so lucky. I'm really lucky. I just sold all my stuff. So I have a little bit of fun money to play with on stuff that I don't really need. And some of the money from that sale from the previous video is gonna be going towards that. So it softens the blow. I don't know if I would have spent $1,200 or whatever, $1,100 without the disk drive, without that, because that's a lot of money. And like I said, I was expecting 600 US, so probably like $800, $900 Canadian. But I do think that the big problem with the showcase is the games they showed weren't great. They were already fantastic looking games. And Sony's done a really good job getting a lot out of the PS4 Pro and PS5. And so to then be like, look at the foliage in the back. It's a little bit sharper, doesn't really work. Where I think the PS5 Pro will shine is actually in those multi-platform games where the optimization isn't optimal or they weren't designed around this specific hardware, so they struggle a little bit. And I think that the PS5 Pro will be a great way to play those games if you don't have a PC. I still think a PC is a better way to play it, but if you're a hardcore PS5 gamer, I think in that sense, it would be worth the upgrade if you play all your games on a PS5.
