And like, yeah, it's got the two columns, so it's super sturdy, but like honestly, I'm a little annoyed that it can't swivel. That's kind of my only complaint. It can pivot when you'll need a vertical 4K 240 Hz QD OLED. I don't know. But you can do this instead of swivel it. It's got height adjustment and it's also got some tilt. Aside from how uniform this nice gray design is, I actually really do like the base. Um, this is really easy to feed cables through and then it's nice and flat and kind of thin, so you can just lay stuff over there if you want to. Overall, like it's very pretty. As for the IO, we are plugging in straight into the monitor. We've got a Kensington lock. And then down here, we've got our HDMI port, two USBC, one of them which supports Thunderbolt with DisplayPort and 96 watts of power delivery. So, yeah, you're going to be able to hook up whatever laptop you want to this thing. And then we've got another USBC, which only does a little bit of charging and a USBA. It looks good on the outside, but what about when content is playing on this thing? Let's plug it in after a word from our sponsor. Thanks to Zidex for sponsoring this video. They want to make sure that you're prepped for back to school season before stuff just starts flying off the shelf. So, they're actually starting their sale early. Even better, PCs over $1,500 come with a free MSI peripheral bundle that includes a monitor, keyboard, and a mouse. A great option is their Onami Black. It's powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 9800 X3D CPU and an RX970 XT, and it will look great in just about any setup with its curved tempered glass and dualchamber design. Plus, it'll get shipped out the next business day, so you'll be gaming in no time. Check out the sale by using our link in the video description. In compliance with energy related regulatory regulatory what? The max brightness setting of energy saving mode is fixed. Absolutely not. Exit energy saving. Okay, it already looks better. It's a cutie OLED panel, so we're going to look at like text fringing. And honestly, that's pretty much the only real problem once it's on. Uh, in a well-lit room, sure, there's going to be that weird magenta thing in super dark blacks, but uh I just I don't know. My my room is a cave. It doesn't bother me. Volume, because like I said, it does have speakers. We'll try those later. Get out of volume. What I want to look at are all the modes. sRGB, BT79, Adobe RGB, P3, BT2020, Diccom, HDRPQ3, HDRPQ, BT2020, which is our most accurate mode. We'll talk about that later. HLG B22020, HLG P3, and then you've got Dolby Vision, which is great. Currently grayed out. Not sure why. Maybe because Windows uh doesn't have HDR on. And then three user modes where you can set this up however you want. I shouldn't have changed it to user. For the rest of today, we're going to go to HDR PQBT 2020 optimized. Wow, that looks terrible. Oh, it's in HDR preview. It'll do HDR preview, which um I'm not a colorist and I don't edit videos, so I can't tell you why that's a good thing or not, which is terrible for me to say. Basically, what this is going to try to do is do HDR with SDR. And most of the time, you don't want that. There might be some of you out there who do. I am not a professional when it comes to mastering content or editing videos. So, I'm just going to turn HDR on in Windows, so it stops doing that and looks a lot better. Okay, that's a lot more correct. HDR on. Actually really like the little toggle in the bottom there that tells me the HDR is on. 4K HDR on 240 Hz. Uh Windows is reporting a peak brightness of,15 nits. We measured pretty close to that. Their claim is 1,000. Okay, we're going to try our speakers first. Let's wait and see if there's any bass. No. But honestly, those aren't terrible. I just keep being pleasantly surprised by monitor speakers of all things. Just include them, you guys. Like, it makes for such a nice experience. This is our typical re footage. Uh, cutielet, so it's going to have really amazing viewing angles. Anywhere you look at this thing from, it's basically going to look incredible. And it really does look stunning, especially in a 4K 31.5 in display. It just looks good. >> Wo, this looks so good. I'm using 1440p and this is like night and day difference, >> right? 4K at this screen size is like 140 PPI roughly. It's just sharp. It's one of those things where like you don't notice it immediately when you go up, but when you use it for a while and then you go back down, it just doesn't look nearly as good. Like even just the sign here, this is great. 240 Hz 4K 32 in. This is basically the display I have at home. It's really hard to say whether or not you need both a high-end gaming monitor and a high-end work display, but if you do, I mean, this is basically it. 240 Hz feels great. OLED feels great. It's just instantly responsive. Uh, we did measure latency as well, and there's basically next to no um added latency. Coming from someone who daily drives a panel like this without some of the extra features. Admittedly, it's really hard to go back. And the nice thing is, say you're working from home and in the morning you're up early and you're just getting going to game for a little bit. Shut that off. Now it's time for work and it's super accurate. So, we're going to talk about the lab results. As for SDR in the sRGB color mode, we tested an average delta E of just 1.16, which is a little higher than their claim of under one, but it's still quite impressive. In HDRPQ BT2020 PQ clip 250 nits, we measured a delta E ITP of just 4.03 with a max of 10.05, which is very good, but it's only 250 nits. At max brightness, the results are a little less impressive with a delta EITP of 22. As for color gamut, we did reach all of their claims, but it's still a lot. Like 80% of BT2020 is a ton. And it also does a really good job of clamping the sRGB color space so that you're not oversaturating anything while you're working in that mode. Because at $1,900, it's pretty expensive and it's several hundred more than what you're going to pay for a similarly speced QD OLED gaming monitor. I cannot recommend this to gamers. I mean, you just you guys don't need it. You don't need DICOM. You don't need all of these other modes. They're great for, I'm sure, colorists and other people who are going to use them if they're going to master content in those spaces, but I'm not, and most of you aren't. Overall, it's a pretty solid monitor, but you're going to have to ask yourself if it's worth that price. So, just use this as a single drop of research in your research bucket before you pull the trigger. Cuz I'm not a colorist. I'm not a professional editor. I'm just Nicholas Plof. And this is a display. And this is ShortCircuit. Thank you for watching. Like, comment, and subscribe."}
