make","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":3.2,"end_s":11.36,"text":"a stencil for the nuclear logo didn't go very well i used this version and then i","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":8.88,"end_s":15.759,"text":"have some adhesive-backed stencil paper but as you can see tracing things is not","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":13.759,"end_s":18.48,"text":"exactly a forte for me most of these were done on a table so i could barely","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":17.68,"end_s":24.96,"text":"see actually through to the actual logo i need some form of backlight to help me","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":22.72,"end_s":27.92,"text":"so i thought of grabbing the ultimaker turning it on so the white light is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":26.56,"end_s":31.84,"text":"shining through it and putting it down on the table but another thing that was","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":29.92,"end_s":35.36,"text":"brought up is that i should be tracing it this way","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":34.0,"end_s":39.92,"text":"brandon pointed out that it's a lot easier because of the grid lines and it's a lot easier because it's paper if","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":38.879,"end_s":46.719,"text":"i'm going to be cutting everything anyways it doesn't really matter","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":42.84,"end_s":46.719,"text":"so here we go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":56.239,"end_s":62.559,"text":"the master case 5 by cooler master gives you the freedom to truly make your mid","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":60.0,"end_s":67.04,"text":"tower pc case your own with a variety of modular parts and accessories click now","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":64.879,"end_s":70.88,"text":"to learn more i love how of all the things that i've","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":69.04,"end_s":76.0,"text":"either never done before in this build or i'm extremely an inexperienced in","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":74.0,"end_s":78.56,"text":"creating a stencil was the biggest roadblock","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":82.64,"end_s":90.159,"text":"all right so that was the first one done honestly it actually kind of looks","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":87.759,"end_s":93.36,"text":"okay so i need to create three more of those and then","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":91.68,"end_s":96.4,"text":"four more that are actually just a circle and don't have the nuclear","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":94.72,"end_s":101.32,"text":"details on the inside this is gonna be a bunch of stenciling so i'll catch up","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":97.84,"end_s":101.32,"text":"with you guys in a sec","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":106.159,"end_s":114.379,"text":"i can probably just tape the crap out of it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":117.36,"end_s":123.84,"text":"okay so i have my four nuclear three uh","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":121.04,"end_s":127.92,"text":"oh where's one of them anyways i'll find it i have my four nuclear logos now i","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":126.0,"end_s":132.4,"text":"need to cut the shapes and things out of the nuclear logos using an exacto knife","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":129.92,"end_s":136.4,"text":"and a cardboard box we're getting close","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":134.16,"end_s":140.28,"text":"how's that i gotta cut out three more that took forever so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":158.4,"end_s":165.84,"text":"all right so all my tape markers are on the 3d printed bomb spacer thingy all","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":162.879,"end_s":170.959,"text":"the stencils are cut so now it's time to take the adhesive part of my stencil off","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":168.8,"end_s":176.959,"text":"and stick it on the bomb that doesn't look right","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":172.4,"end_s":176.959,"text":"that's three inches up what the f","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":178.959,"end_s":183.92,"text":"one good thing is the adhesive doesn't seem too strong","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":182.08,"end_s":187.68,"text":"and try to place it down and hopefully it won't be too hard to get off","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":186.0,"end_s":194.48,"text":"logo number two it's with one thingy facing up","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":191.84,"end_s":197.84,"text":"i now need to take off my placement stickers the placement of","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":196.64,"end_s":203.36,"text":"these things admittedly is not perfect","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":200.879,"end_s":209.84,"text":"okay so now it's time to paint the nuclear logos so i wet the brush","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":207.28,"end_s":215.12,"text":"and i'm gonna dip it in that's basically what i know to do so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":212.48,"end_s":215.12,"text":"wish me luck","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":218.4,"end_s":222.959,"text":"this is kind of supposed to look a little weathered","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":221.44,"end_s":228.799,"text":"so you know what if there's imperfections maybe they were on purpose","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":225.36,"end_s":231.76,"text":"okay okay youtube comments","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":228.799,"end_s":235.76,"text":"we should rename this video make it not even about fallout 4 anymore and just","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":233.76,"end_s":238.959,"text":"call it luke is really bad at arts and crafts","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":237.28,"end_s":243.599,"text":"hopefully i can even that out a little bit on further coats but for now we just","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":241.28,"end_s":246.879,"text":"need to let it dry next in line in the train of nerve","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":245.2,"end_s":252.84,"text":"wracking things that we have to do is cut the bomb because we need i o holes","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":249.92,"end_s":257.84,"text":"we need to cut holes for power audio HDMI and an HDMI coupler","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":255.84,"end_s":262.56,"text":"also we don't have to cut a hole for Ethernet there was an option to just","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":259.44,"end_s":264.08,"text":"screw in an ac wi-fi dongle thing so i'm","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":262.56,"end_s":267.6,"text":"going to do that and then leave it inside the case so before i start","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":266.08,"end_s":272.0,"text":"cutting i actually kind of need to figure out how big the things are that i","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":270.0,"end_s":275.759,"text":"need to cut the holes for so for audio pass-through like this i've just used an","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":274.24,"end_s":280.479,"text":"elastic band and i'm going to use crazy glue to glue them both together so the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":278.639,"end_s":285.36,"text":"hole can be for both of them for usbs i'm going to stick them all","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":282.88,"end_s":290.24,"text":"together like this and then glue all of these together so that i can have one","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":287.199,"end_s":292.24,"text":"big bank of usb passthroughs that i cut","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":290.24,"end_s":298.32,"text":"one hole for wow these went really fast","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":295.04,"end_s":298.32,"text":"they're already like rock hard","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":300.32,"end_s":306.8,"text":"how's that look okay that was a little close with the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":304.56,"end_s":310.16,"text":"super glue and the usbs and it drawing really quickly around the elastic band","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":308.24,"end_s":315.36,"text":"but i think we're good so i just need to let these things dry","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":312.72,"end_s":320.08,"text":"okay so we're doing the second coat of paint now","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":316.56,"end_s":320.08,"text":"so we'll see how it goes this time","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":320.479,"end_s":326.16,"text":"so i went outside of the stencil slightly right here oh my goodness you","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":324.24,"end_s":330.649,"text":"can still see it how do i fix that i don't know","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":332.4,"end_s":338.16,"text":"all right so the next hurdle is making sure that everything on the inside","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":336.24,"end_s":342.56,"text":"doesn't fly all over the place whenever you try to move it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":339.52,"end_s":344.72,"text":"at all and my idea for this was terrible","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":342.56,"end_s":348.479,"text":"so i called my dad who's generally better at these things than i am and he","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":346.479,"end_s":353.759,"text":"came up with a way better idea which was using ready rod to run supports through","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":351.52,"end_s":358.24,"text":"the bomb bolting them on the outside and then also using ready ready rod to","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":356.08,"end_s":361.72,"text":"support the power supply in the top so we're gonna do that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":366.56,"end_s":372.88,"text":"but that's way too high up right there how far could this motherboard go down","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":370.88,"end_s":377.199,"text":"because we could basically bring the bolt system down farther then you've got","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":374.96,"end_s":377.199,"text":"room","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":378.16,"end_s":383.44,"text":"like maybe even raise it up a little bit more than that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":381.199,"end_s":387.8,"text":"okay i got my marks so now we just have to project these straight down","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":401.28,"end_s":406.88,"text":"there's rod number one these might even be too wide","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":405.6,"end_s":411.12,"text":"they are uh we'll need just probably something","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":409.28,"end_s":414.24,"text":"across yeah like we could plastic or even just like a zap strap","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":416.319,"end_s":422.24,"text":"all right so we've changed our minds a little bit instead of actually going through","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":420.08,"end_s":426.88,"text":"the holes on the motherboard we are going to just suspend the motherboard","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":424.319,"end_s":430.16,"text":"from the rods using zap straps all the ready rod holes are now done","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":428.8,"end_s":433.599,"text":"we're gonna have it poke out a little bit past the nut on the end and we're","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":432.0,"end_s":437.68,"text":"gonna chop the end of the ready rod off on this side so both sides look the same","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":435.52,"end_s":441.44,"text":"yeah dad had the idea of using some actual piece of something to make the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":439.52,"end_s":444.56,"text":"platform instead of just zap straps we're gonna use the meshed part so it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":443.12,"end_s":449.28,"text":"actually breathes a little bit better and i'm just gonna jumble the crap out of it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":447.28,"end_s":454.24,"text":"we have made our power supply platform so it fits right into the top like so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":452.639,"end_s":459.199,"text":"and i'll probably hot glue that in place or whatever and then the power supply just goes","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":457.039,"end_s":464.16,"text":"right on top of it so with sound effects yeah","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":462.319,"end_s":467.68,"text":"specifically that's that's the sound that the power supply makes when you put","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":465.84,"end_s":473.12,"text":"it down okay so the super glue and rubber brand","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":470.8,"end_s":477.84,"text":"rubber brand okay so the super glue and rubber band thing actually did seem to","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":474.879,"end_s":482.08,"text":"work so now it's time to actually cut so the first thing i'm going to put in is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":479.599,"end_s":486.479,"text":"our audio okay so i just drilled my pilot hole so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":485.36,"end_s":493.199,"text":"i know on this side where i want the headphone stuff to go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":490.319,"end_s":496.479,"text":"so what i'm going to do now is drill a bigger hole with a slightly bigger","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":495.199,"end_s":500.72,"text":"drill bit then just file it out","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":500.72,"end_s":506.56,"text":"boom boom okay this is an exciting moment our","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":505.039,"end_s":510.0,"text":"first bit of i o is coming out of the bottom of the bomb","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":508.08,"end_s":513.839,"text":"that is our audio so i'm gonna hop glue this bad boy in","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":512.08,"end_s":517.599,"text":"then we're gonna move on the next one i'm gonna cut is for the HDMI coupler it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":515.839,"end_s":521.839,"text":"has a little overhang with some bolt holes in it so i'm gonna just cut a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":519.12,"end_s":526.399,"text":"circle push it in from the outside bolt through the bolt holes and then","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":523.279,"end_s":526.399,"text":"it'll be secured that way","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":530.48,"end_s":535.36,"text":"brandon just pointed out that it kind of looks like a surprised face like oh my","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":534.399,"end_s":539.44,"text":"goodness if you're drilling a hole like this use","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":537.6,"end_s":545.76,"text":"this kind of drill bit save you a lot of trouble i just forgot","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":542.88,"end_s":549.2,"text":"perfect look how snug that is oh my goodness","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":546.72,"end_s":553.36,"text":"so if i can find screws that fit and nuts that fit on those screws i would","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":550.8,"end_s":557.519,"text":"like to bolt it in but honestly doesn't even need it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":555.36,"end_s":561.279,"text":"usb is next in the row so i'm gonna do usb now and i'll just deal with the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":559.04,"end_s":567.92,"text":"extra wires dremeling's pretty much gonna be my best bet because it's a long","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":564.56,"end_s":567.92,"text":"rectangular space","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":568.48,"end_s":573.76,"text":"another like impressively close fit","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":572.24,"end_s":577.68,"text":"i'm gonna pull it in a little bit and then hot glue it and we'll be good to go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":575.6,"end_s":581.04,"text":"i can't get this stuff off me geez","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":578.72,"end_s":586.959,"text":"i got hot glue stuck on my finger okay so i'm just picking the positioning for","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":582.32,"end_s":586.959,"text":"the power about there should be okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":588.16,"end_s":592.32,"text":"okay so we have our hole of where we want it to go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":597.68,"end_s":605.92,"text":"okay boom there is our power cable just need to","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":602.959,"end_s":609.44,"text":"bolt that in and then we're good to go all right so all the i o is done i","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":608.16,"end_s":614.64,"text":"didn't have the feed on while i was actually drilling these this top one for","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":611.839,"end_s":619.519,"text":"the usb 3 works just fine the second one in it's going","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":617.44,"end_s":623.6,"text":"to interfere with this leg pretty quick then the second bottom one","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":621.44,"end_s":628.56,"text":"kind of close if you have some large usbs so when you're doing this again get","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":626.399,"end_s":631.56,"text":"it away from this leg somehow is a good idea","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":638.72,"end_s":643.68,"text":"okay so the final coat of paint has been applied","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":642.079,"end_s":650.399,"text":"i just have to take it off now this is a little bit nerve-wracking because it looks kind of like absolute junk right","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":647.92,"end_s":654.32,"text":"now so hopefully it doesn't after we pull all this tape off so there's a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":652.24,"end_s":658.56,"text":"little bit of spill over but that's probably my fault somehow i'm","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":656.88,"end_s":663.6,"text":"not a very artsy person so i'll take the blame there all right so most of the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":662.0,"end_s":667.6,"text":"things we have to do are done now i just need to cable manage because if i don't","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":665.04,"end_s":672.8,"text":"cable manage well enough or at all the computer components will literally just","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":669.36,"end_s":675.76,"text":"not fit okay so i need to make spacers","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":672.8,"end_s":678.72,"text":"i thought why not some cardboard i'm going to","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":676.88,"end_s":683.68,"text":"tape them onto the card here and here i don't know if this is gonna","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":681.519,"end_s":687.44,"text":"work but i gotta give it a shot so here we go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":684.8,"end_s":693.36,"text":"okay so our custom ghetto cardboard spacers are done they're taped on and","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":690.399,"end_s":697.12,"text":"i'm gonna try to fit this guy i actually think that's gonna work","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":695.6,"end_s":701.04,"text":"one more problem that i have is actually this guy jut out of metal at the end which could","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":699.76,"end_s":705.519,"text":"touch the end of the motherboard so i'm gonna have to do something about that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":703.44,"end_s":711.6,"text":"okay so i grabbed some like shelf material stuff i don't even know","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":708.079,"end_s":713.68,"text":"what this is but it's not conductive","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":711.6,"end_s":717.839,"text":"i still have no idea how i'm just gonna actually even have this on there but","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":720.959,"end_s":728.56,"text":"as you can probably already guess the airflow in this system is going to be","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":725.92,"end_s":733.6,"text":"horrible so we're going to have to address that and we will do that by","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":731.519,"end_s":737.04,"text":"testing it first with no additional airflow","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":734.88,"end_s":741.44,"text":"measures and then we'll try to add a few things here or there and see what we can","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":738.399,"end_s":742.8,"text":"do to improve it now i know i said that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":741.44,"end_s":745.76,"text":"we're going to be hanging the motherboard off the support bars with","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":744.48,"end_s":750.959,"text":"zap straps but it like doesn't move at stencil paper but as you can see tracing things is not exactly a forte for me most of these were done on a table so i could barely see actually through to the actual logo i need some form of backlight to help me so i thought of grabbing the ultimaker turning it on so the white light is shining through it and putting it down on the table but another thing that was brought up is that i should be tracing it this way brandon pointed out that it's a lot easier because of the grid lines and it's a lot easier because it's paper if i'm going to be cutting everything anyways it doesn't really matter so here we go the master case 5 by cooler master gives you the freedom to truly make your mid tower pc case your own with a variety of modular parts and accessories click now to learn more i love how of all the things that i've either never done before in this build or i'm extremely an inexperienced in creating a stencil was the biggest roadblock all right so that was the first one done honestly it actually kind of looks okay so i need to create three more of those and then four more that are actually just a circle and don't have the nuclear details on the inside this is gonna be a bunch of stenciling so i'll catch up with you guys in a sec i can probably just tape the crap out of it okay so i have my four nuclear three uh oh where's one of them anyways i'll find it i have my four nuclear logos now i need to cut the shapes and things out of the nuclear logos using an exacto knife and a cardboard box we're getting close how's that i gotta cut out three more that took forever so all right so all my tape markers are on the 3d printed bomb spacer thingy all the stencils are cut so now it's time to take the adhesive part of my stencil off and stick it on the bomb that doesn't look right that's three inches up what the f one good thing is the adhesive doesn't seem too strong and try to place it down and hopefully it won't be too hard to get off logo number two it's with one thingy facing up i now need to take off my placement stickers the placement of these things admittedly is not perfect okay so now it's time to paint the nuclear logos so i wet the brush and i'm gonna dip it in that's basically what i know to do so wish me luck this is kind of supposed to look a little weathered so you know what if there's imperfections maybe they were on purpose okay okay youtube comments we should rename this video make it not even about fallout 4 anymore and just call it luke is really bad at arts and crafts hopefully i can even that out a little bit on further coats but for now we just need to let it dry next in line in the train of nerve wracking things that we have to do is cut the bomb because we need i o holes we need to cut holes for power audio HDMI and an HDMI coupler also we don't have to cut a hole for Ethernet there was an option to just screw in an ac wi-fi dongle thing so i'm going to do that and then leave it inside the case so before i start cutting i actually kind of need to figure out how big the things are that i need to cut the holes for so for audio pass-through like this i've just used an elastic band and i'm going to use crazy glue to glue them both together so the hole can be for both of them for usbs i'm going to stick them all together like this and then glue all of these together so that i can have one big bank of usb passthroughs that i cut one hole for wow these went really fast they're already like rock hard how's that look okay that was a little close with the super glue and the usbs and it drawing really quickly around the elastic band but i think we're good so i just need to let these things dry okay so we're doing the second coat of paint now so we'll see how it goes this time so i went outside of the stencil slightly right here oh my goodness you can still see it how do i fix that i don't know all right so the next hurdle is making sure that everything on the inside doesn't fly all over the place whenever you try to move it at all and my idea for this was terrible so i called my dad who's generally better at these things than i am and he came up with a way better idea which was using ready rod to run supports through the bomb bolting them on the outside and then also using ready ready rod to support the power supply in the top so we're gonna do that but that's way too high up right there how far could this motherboard go down because we could basically bring the bolt system down farther then you've got room like maybe even raise it up a little bit more than that okay i got my marks so now we just have to project these straight down there's rod number one these might even be too wide they are uh we'll need just probably something across yeah like we could plastic or even just like a zap strap all right so we've changed our minds a little bit instead of actually going through the holes on the motherboard we are going to just suspend the motherboard from the rods using zap straps all the ready rod holes are now done we're gonna have it poke out a little bit past the nut on the end and we're gonna chop the end of the ready rod off on this side so both sides look the same yeah dad had the idea of using some actual piece of something to make the platform instead of just zap straps we're gonna use the meshed part so it actually breathes a little bit better and i'm just gonna jumble the crap out of it we have made our power supply platform so it fits right into the top like so and i'll probably hot glue that in place or whatever and then the power supply just goes right on top of it so with sound effects yeah specifically that's that's the sound that the power supply makes when you put it down okay so the super glue and rubber brand rubber brand okay so the super glue and rubber band thing actually did seem to work so now it's time to actually cut so the first thing i'm going to put in is our audio okay so i just drilled my pilot hole so i know on this side where i want the headphone stuff to go so what i'm going to do now is drill a bigger hole with a slightly bigger drill bit then just file it out boom boom okay this is an exciting moment our first bit of i o is coming out of the bottom of the bomb that is our audio so i'm gonna hop glue this bad boy in then we're gonna move on the next one i'm gonna cut is for the HDMI coupler it has a little overhang with some bolt holes in it so i'm gonna just cut a circle push it in from the outside bolt through the bolt holes and then it'll be secured that way brandon just pointed out that it kind of looks like a surprised face like oh my goodness if you're drilling a hole like this use this kind of drill bit save you a lot of trouble i just forgot perfect look how snug that is oh my goodness so if i can find screws that fit and nuts that fit on those screws i would like to bolt it in but honestly doesn't even need it usb is next in the row so i'm gonna do usb now and i'll just deal with the extra wires dremeling's pretty much gonna be my best bet because it's a long rectangular space another like impressively close fit i'm gonna pull it in a little bit and then hot glue it and we'll be good to go i can't get this stuff off me geez i got hot glue stuck on my finger okay so i'm just picking the positioning for the power about there should be okay okay so we have our hole of where we want it to go okay boom there is our power cable just need to bolt that in and then we're good to go all right so all the i o is done i didn't have the feed on while i was actually drilling these this top one for the usb 3 works just fine the second one in it's going to interfere with this leg pretty quick then the second bottom one kind of close if you have some large usbs so when you're doing this again get it away from this leg somehow is a good idea okay so the final coat of paint has been applied i just have to take it off now this is a little bit nerve-wracking because it looks kind of like absolute junk right now so hopefully it doesn't after we pull all this tape off so there's a little bit of spill over but that's probably my fault somehow i'm not a very artsy person so i'll take the blame there all right so most of the things we have to do are done now i just need to cable manage because if i don't cable manage well enough or at all the computer components will literally just not fit okay so i need to make spacers i thought why not some cardboard i'm going to tape them onto the card here and here i don't know if this is gonna work but i gotta give it a shot so here we go okay so our custom ghetto cardboard spacers are done they're taped on and i'm gonna try to fit this guy i actually think that's gonna work one more problem that i have is actually this guy jut out of metal at the end which could touch the end of the motherboard so i'm gonna have to do something about that okay so i grabbed some like shelf material stuff i don't even know what this is but it's not conductive i still have no idea how i'm just gonna actually even have this on there but as you can probably already guess the airflow in this system is going to be horrible so we're going to have to address that and we will do that by testing it first with no additional airflow measures and then we'll try to add a few things here or there and see what we can do to improve it now i know i said that we're going to be hanging the motherboard off the support bars with zap straps but it like doesn't move at all so i'm gonna zap strap it anyways but realistically there's no point all right so moment of truth we're gonna turn it on oh i'm really nervous um oh hey oh okay whoa the computer works okay the computer works oh i was really worried about that for so many different reasons um but all right i need to figure out thermals real quick so running i did 64 on the CPU within like a couple seconds we had a CPU throttle of about 30 so yep one thing i'm going to try to do is try to fit an industrial ppc Noctua in there i don't know if i'm gonna be able to make it fit i might have to do a smaller fan but this would be nice that does seem to be helping the cooling although i really don't think that's gonna fully solve the problem whoa oh yeah there it is CPU throttling now one thing that i'm actually going to try to do is maybe just turn off turbo turbo mode disabled so what we're going to do is try to jump into our crisis 3 skybox test if it's able to pass that then it's probably fine well i've never had a complete computer red screen before that's a first no idea what that means but it's not good eleven one i broke everything is what this one's called okay so last night Linus saw us moving around on the motion sensor things and kicked us out told us to go to bed um i came in this morning i had missed my alarm picked up the bomb didn't realize that there was something over top of the legs and two of the supports on the legs this one and this one actually completely broke off so i super glued them and then when i went to go put the bomb down immediately after breaking it there was something holding on to the switch cable and it ripped the red wire completely out um so i stripped both ends of that soldered that back together this is working again um at that point i was pretty pissed off and i was like i just want this freaking thing to work i recable managed a whole bunch of stuff and then i dremeled and cut out two pretty massive holes actually on the bottom and then grabbed some really low profile 60 millimeter fans from some stock AMD coolers that we had and i'm gonna mount those in the bottom as air intakes so those should help quite a bit and with in between the clips up here cut out there should actually be airflow this time so let's try finishing the build a second time hopefully i don't massively break anything else and yeah let's go i have noticed that there is actually some extra room here so i might actually try to upgrade the CPU cooler the silverstone ar06 is in uh it was a bit of a tight fit on the back had some problems there but it's fine also the RAM didn't fit as nicely as i'd hoped so this second inner stick of course their lpx uh got a little bit of a unique treatment the caps for the heat pipes on the cooler were a little bit too big and pressed against it and made it lean into the other stick so i took a dremel to it and uh kind of cut some grooves where man this looks horrible where uh the heat pipes would actually be trying to go so now you can put it in uh it actually fits just fine so um once Linus sees that i might not have a job so hopefully you guys like this video a lot the 300 watt is no longer needed this thing served me well for the time i had it but the 450 watt has finally showed up got it got it got it which is good because last night when we were testing we did actually run into some power issues so very happy to see that got our new cooler on the motherboard time to start trying to put things back together it's unlikely that it will melt a lot of computers are plastic too hot damn all right so inside you can see we've got some space in front of the CPU for it to breathe we've got our two sticks of RAM like we were talking about this y cable for the fans goes to the two fans that are in the bottom this windy SATA cable kind of tries to keep itself out of the way and then plugs into the SSD which is back here we have our anti mat thing which is going to try to keep the back of the motherboard protected from things shorting it out we have our nano which is held away from the motherboard a little bit by our custom cardboard spacers and our blue painters tape our Wi-Fi card is actually keeping the SSD away from the back of the graphics card because the SSD is closed in metal and i don't want it to short the graphics card and all together it fits all under the top crossbar which is the ready ready rod or whatever um so that we can put the plate on top of there we can put our new watt power supply on top of that plug it into here plug in the graphics card plug in the motherboard 24 pin and 8 pin and then plug in the SSD and then we're going to see if it runs okay so there's one thing left that could ruin everything um the top of the bomb gets this ring on it and then this cap goes on top of that ring but on the inside part of the idea that we have for air to be able to escape out the top is for these sections between the clips to be cut out if i miss i could take out one of the clips and then it might not actually go in here and then there's just going to be a hole in the top of our bong which will look super dumb one random note i haven't shaved since we started this because i've literally been working on this or sleeping i showered have a shape all right so the top is on um it's clipped in there we left a little bit extra on each side so i could click it in and then we taped it on so that it shouldn't rotate and then fall in so that those air gaps should actually stay there now i'm a little bit worried because there's some weight to it and those legs are maybe not as strong as they used to be in their young days so it's kind of go time wanna make sure this thing works okay so the legs go in it's plug-in time okay so fans installed on the bottom new CPU cooler the CPU was thermal throttling within seconds before now we've been running it 64 for a little bit we're floating between 60 70 degrees depending on what core you're counting i think we might have done it tunnelbear the easy-to-use privacy app already ran crisis 3 on it everything's fine it's not thermal throttling it's got some good stuff going on it's been it's been a while i've been working on this thing since monday at 9 30 a.m until about midnight every single day and now we're finally here it's seven something on a thursday i don't even know what happened to this week hopefully you guys liked the video give it a like if you did honestly that will help because if everyone appreciates this i can maybe do this for other game launches or say movie launches like star wars in december anyways that's about it like i said like the video if you liked it dislike it if you didn't but like come on man damn it's like rude and stuff anyways these are amazon affiliate code to buy stuff from there check out a t-shirt link in the
