completely","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":18.84,"end_s":25.76,"text":"cold I have no idea what this is but it appears to be a computer case and then","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":23.56,"end_s":29.24,"text":"it has like a little uh stand on the top which I'm going to go ahead and assume","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":27.24,"end_s":32.599,"text":"ends in a Visa Mount so that you can mount a monitor to the top of a little","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":30.92,"end_s":36.399,"text":"desktop computer great for embedded applications or if you need like a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":33.92,"end_s":41.52,"text":"little POS terminal for a retail store something like that all right so here we","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":38.879,"end_s":44.48,"text":"go ah yes that's exactly what it is so you have a Gigabyte case you got a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":43.0,"end_s":49.32,"text":"little stand attached to it and then you can attach so you could put a touchscreen monitor whatever kind of","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":47.079,"end_s":54.52,"text":"monitor you need just like that that's kind of cool so here we go this","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":52.48,"end_s":58.8,"text":"is oh let's have a look at the back first so let's see the hinge design so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":56.52,"end_s":63.0,"text":"it has a hinge lock cover flexible hinge enabling monitor horizontal and vertical","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":61.28,"end_s":69.4,"text":"adjustment it has cable and cord management it is Vasa standard so 17 to","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":66.2,"end_s":73.479,"text":"22 in recommended monitors with 100x 100","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":69.4,"end_s":75.96,"text":"mm or 75x 75 mm monitor holes okay on","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":73.479,"end_s":80.64,"text":"the back or on the the case design so it is an ITX case supporting a slim optical","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":78.64,"end_s":84.439,"text":"drive although for most people buying a a case like this you probably wouldn't","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":82.32,"end_s":88.6,"text":"even have a DVD drive it would just be set up once and then sit there forever","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":86.479,"end_s":93.36,"text":"it has an integrated power supply oh thumb screws for more convenience","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":90.2,"end_s":94.96,"text":"assembly and it has a 60 mm cooling fan","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":93.36,"end_s":100.399,"text":"so this is space saving that's their whole pitch by replacing the monitor","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":97.2,"end_s":102.079,"text":"stand with a computer I'll buy that okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":100.399,"end_s":106.84,"text":"so here's the overall specifications of the case it's made of ABS plastic on the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":104.079,"end_s":112.36,"text":"front bezel it's available in Black it's weighs 4 kg um okay 1 3 and 1 12 in","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":109.96,"end_s":116.159,"text":"internal drive and then you've got two USB 2.0 ports on the front as well as","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":114.52,"end_s":121.24,"text":"one HD audio setup so I don't think this is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":119.159,"end_s":126.039,"text":"sealed cuz it's like a it's a sample product so it's not really this isn't","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":123.32,"end_s":130.44,"text":"exactly how it'll come at retail but I believe this one also has a motherboard","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":128.56,"end_s":134.84,"text":"inside that I'm supposed to have a look at as well so we're just going to we're","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":132.879,"end_s":139.599,"text":"just going to kind of go and find out what happens here we'll have this","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":137.239,"end_s":144.76,"text":"adventure together so I'm going to take out the cardboard thing oh it's falling","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":141.599,"end_s":146.48,"text":"apart okay excellent so here is the uh","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":144.76,"end_s":153.0,"text":"the Vasa Mount so this sits up at the end of the ARM which is here oh this is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":149.56,"end_s":154.68,"text":"kind of cool so the case by default","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":153.0,"end_s":159.84,"text":"doesn't actually like you're not required to have the uh the mounting ARM","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":157.36,"end_s":165.92,"text":"on it that's just an optional accessory that it looks like um where does this","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":163.159,"end_s":172.159,"text":"attach okay this is kind of smart so we got the case here all right so let's put","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":168.879,"end_s":174.319,"text":"the case aside for now I guess and let's","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":172.159,"end_s":179.28,"text":"have a look at sort of the accessory Focus first so here we've got a manual","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":177.0,"end_s":185.4,"text":"which may or may not be a a final manual because like I I said this is uh sample","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":181.68,"end_s":187.08,"text":"Hardware so here we go so they give us a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":185.4,"end_s":190.08,"text":"little introduction to the the case structure itself so here's your hinge","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":188.799,"end_s":193.28,"text":"cable cord management okay we already covered most of this and then they give","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":192.159,"end_s":199.04,"text":"you oh they give you a little installation guide so they show you how to remove the top cover install the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":196.64,"end_s":202.56,"text":"motherboard install the hard drive and slim optical drive and then that's","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":201.239,"end_s":207.799,"text":"pretty much all that's involved because when you're putting in an ITX motherboard it'll have Onboard video","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":205.319,"end_s":212.159,"text":"onboard sound uh so you need to install the CPU and RAM on the motherboard and","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":210.4,"end_s":215.68,"text":"other than that it's pretty much grabbing go so then you install okay","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":214.239,"end_s":220.56,"text":"here's the installation of the LCD monitor to the case you connect the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":218.28,"end_s":225.04,"text":"hinge onto the chassis and then Mount the monitor before adjusting the angle","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":222.959,"end_s":231.439,"text":"of the hinge so let me see the back of the case is over here so these two thumb","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":227.879,"end_s":233.799,"text":"screws right here come out and then that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":231.439,"end_s":238.4,"text":"is where you actually attach the Hing ARM so it slides into oh here cameraman","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":236.319,"end_s":242.72,"text":"look up here so it slides into place at the front","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":240.079,"end_s":246.36,"text":"and then you could also use um there you go Clips right in you could also use","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":244.599,"end_s":249.959,"text":"like some kind of security screws at the back you could replace the default ones","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":248.36,"end_s":253.879,"text":"and then you could make it so that your employees or customers can't remove the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":252.68,"end_s":256.959,"text":"I'm not actually going to put this in now cuz I want to open up the case but","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":255.76,"end_s":262.4,"text":"you could make it so that they can't remove the motherboard from or the uh","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":259.84,"end_s":267.28,"text":"the monitor from the case so that's kind of cool and then Gigabyte has also","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":264.56,"end_s":270.72,"text":"included a motherboard inside for us to have a look at here so let's take the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":269.16,"end_s":275.08,"text":"case apart we can have a look at the internals so the top is all ventilation","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":273.56,"end_s":278.72,"text":"which is kind of cool because that means if you're using a fan it's actually","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":276.8,"end_s":283.639,"text":"going to have somewhere to pull air from and then on this side which side ah on","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":281.88,"end_s":288.52,"text":"this side right here we've got the vent holes for the 60 mm fan that it comes","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":286.28,"end_s":294.0,"text":"installed in the case so that's pretty useful as well there we go why don't we","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":292.0,"end_s":297.28,"text":"have a look at the power supply no you know what let's take a closer look at","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":295.24,"end_s":301.08,"text":"the case first I'm sorry okay so here's the front of the case it's a it's a","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":298.8,"end_s":304.32,"text":"glossy plastic there's your power button there's your slim optical drive and then","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":302.72,"end_s":308.0,"text":"you got your front panel connectors it has kind of a it's plastic but you know","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":306.479,"end_s":312.84,"text":"what it actually looks pretty nice in person it feels not bad it's not that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":310.44,"end_s":317.479,"text":"kind of plasticky like this is horrible sort of feel so then we go around to the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":314.84,"end_s":321.88,"text":"side this is obviously a y loon fan just like yeah it says y loon Electronics","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":319.4,"end_s":325.28,"text":"right on it and then yeah it's all steel construction I'm missing an IO plate I","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":323.84,"end_s":329.919,"text":"already knew about that just because this is a a sample board so it's not","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":327.88,"end_s":335.0,"text":"100% retail Hardware they might not even have the io plate yet in the power","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":332.16,"end_s":339.12,"text":"supply that is a tiny fan so this is using like a special small form factor","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":337.08,"end_s":342.68,"text":"style power supply and we'll have a look at the power supply next here's the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":340.96,"end_s":347.44,"text":"bottom nothing interesting there we'll have a look at the power supply next to","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":344.12,"end_s":348.6,"text":"find out just what's going on with it so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":347.44,"end_s":357.08,"text":"it is a 160 wat power supply which is okay 10","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":353.36,"end_s":360.4,"text":"amps on the 12vt rail and then the 5","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":357.08,"end_s":362.28,"text":"combined are 61 Watts so 10 amps I'm","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":360.4,"end_s":367.68,"text":"going to do the quick math time 12 is about it can do about 120 watts on the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":364.72,"end_s":374.0,"text":"12vt rail alone okay so something to remember now inside this motherboard is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":370.199,"end_s":377.96,"text":"actually fairly high-end this is an LGA","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":374.0,"end_s":380.4,"text":"1156 Mini ITX motherboard but even if","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":377.96,"end_s":384.4,"text":"you're using a high-powered CPU and you got like a couple sticks of RAM and all","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":382.8,"end_s":390.599,"text":"that good stuff even if you're doing that a power supply like this is still","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":387.919,"end_s":395.4,"text":"okay because a lot of the power that gets used up by bigger boards is all the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":393.56,"end_s":399.44,"text":"extra stuff that's built onto them so where you might need a 300 wat power","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":397.16,"end_s":404.84,"text":"supply for an ATX board you might get away with a 150 W power supply if you're","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":401.84,"end_s":406.84,"text":"using the same CPU in a mini ITX board","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":404.84,"end_s":410.52,"text":"it's just a different platform and everything is optimized for low power","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":408.8,"end_s":414.24,"text":"consumption so let's have a look at the overall layout of this board itself you","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":412.039,"end_s":418.16,"text":"can see obviously it integrates very very well into this particular chassis","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":416.52,"end_s":423.24,"text":"where you can mount your slim Optical here and then your hard drive goes in","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":420.36,"end_s":425.72,"text":"this cage which removes by these screws on the bottom here so that's where your","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":424.599,"end_s":430.319,"text":"hard drive goes that's where your optical drive goes that was simple very","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":428.4,"end_s":434.639,"text":"cool okay so then let's have a look at the layout of this motherboard I'm just","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":431.56,"end_s":436.599,"text":"going to go ahead and unplug it so that","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":434.639,"end_s":442.479,"text":"uh we can have a better look here this is very cool though Mini ITX LGA 1156","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":440.12,"end_s":448.319,"text":"board there are a couple on the market but this is obviously gigabytes offering","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":444.759,"end_s":452.56,"text":"it's an h55 board so the part number is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":448.319,"end_s":455.52,"text":"the ga H5 5 n USB 3 as I said a few","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":452.56,"end_s":460.24,"text":"times it's got support for LGA 1156 CPUs so that means core i3s Core i5 and I","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":458.24,"end_s":465.0,"text":"guess you could put a core i7 on it although it's not really recommended","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":462.479,"end_s":469.919,"text":"with most ITX boards due to heat output considerations I mean look at this case","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":467.12,"end_s":472.8,"text":"as well as power considerations because what are you doing buying an ITX board","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":471.599,"end_s":477.4,"text":"if you're trying to use high power components it doesn't make good sense so","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":474.919,"end_s":483.199,"text":"then you've got also this is cool a PCI Express 16x connector so while this","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":480.159,"end_s":485.639,"text":"motherboard with the h55 chipset does","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":483.199,"end_s":489.08,"text":"feature Onboard video you could also take it and put it in something like","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":487.08,"end_s":492.599,"text":"that Silverstone case that accepts a ful length graphics card and you could","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":490.8,"end_s":497.8,"text":"install a fulllength graphics card in this as well very cool for a motherboard","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":495.28,"end_s":502.039,"text":"that's basically like the size of a a hand okay so you got your four pin","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":500.0,"end_s":506.12,"text":"connector uh I guess right where it belongs in the normal configuration but","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":504.52,"end_s":510.159,"text":"the a lot of the other stuff is pretty weird so while on an ATX board your CPU","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":508.639,"end_s":516.64,"text":"socket would be kind of here and then North Bridge here and a South Bridge sort of here this board just has the one","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":514.32,"end_s":520.12,"text":"chipset up above the CPU socket here I'm going to orient this the way it would","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":518.279,"end_s":524.959,"text":"normally be so the top of the io Shield is here then you've got your SATA two","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":522.08,"end_s":529.16,"text":"ports up at the top you've got your front panel ports as well as your USB","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":526.839,"end_s":532.92,"text":"2.0 headers up at the top of the board and then your 24 pin power rather than","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":531.36,"end_s":537.16,"text":"being along the right hand Edge is actually up at the top of the board dual","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":534.92,"end_s":541.68,"text":"Channel DDR3 is supported by this motherboard and that pretty much does it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":539.48,"end_s":546.76,"text":"for the onboard features because you know like I said it's a very very small","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":543.76,"end_s":549.16,"text":"very compact board very cool so let's go","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":546.76,"end_s":553.2,"text":"around to the back and have a look at what we have for onboard connectivity","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":550.8,"end_s":559.48,"text":"we've got a built-in PS2 combo Port so you can use a mouse or a keyboard there","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":555.079,"end_s":563.2,"text":"you've got 1 2 3 4 USB 2.0 ports and uh","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":559.48,"end_s":566.44,"text":"then you've got VGA DVI and HDMI output","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":563.2,"end_s":570.12,"text":"as well as uh digital audio out that's","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":566.44,"end_s":573.079,"text":"optical digital and then here this is","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":570.12,"end_s":580.079,"text":"what is this that's neat hm I don't know what that is it","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":576.839,"end_s":582.72,"text":"looks like a USB port but it's it's the","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":580.079,"end_s":587.519,"text":"color of their uh it's the typical color of their ESAT ports but I'm looking at","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":585.2,"end_s":591.12,"text":"the uh the connection fingers inside you know what I'm sorry that's an eSATA Port","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":589.399,"end_s":597.6,"text":"wow that was a blonde moment for me eSATA then we have two USB 3.0 ports 1","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":594.76,"end_s":604.48,"text":"GB Ethernet and then 7.1 audio so thank you for checking out my combined","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":600.16,"end_s":608.519,"text":"unboxing of the h55 and USB 3 as well as","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0},{"start_s":604.48,"end_s":608.519,"text":"the Men in Black t314","speaker":null,"is_sponsor":0}],"full_text":"in the mail today I got a sample this is from Gigabyte it is the Gigabyte Mi Men In Black t314 oh I'm sorry no this is the monitor integrated box my bad I got it wrong I'm sorry anyway this I you know what I'm going into this completely cold I have no idea what this is but it appears to be a computer case and then it has like a little uh stand on the top which I'm going to go ahead and assume ends in a Visa Mount so that you can mount a monitor to the top of a little desktop computer great for embedded applications or if you need like a little POS terminal for a retail store something like that all right so here we go ah yes that's exactly what it is so you have a Gigabyte case you got a little stand attached to it and then you can attach so you could put a touchscreen monitor whatever kind of monitor you need just like that that's kind of cool so here we go this is oh let's have a look at the back first so let's see the hinge design so it has a hinge lock cover flexible hinge enabling monitor horizontal and vertical adjustment it has cable and cord management it is Vasa standard so 17 to 22 in recommended monitors with 100x 100 mm or 75x 75 mm monitor holes okay on the back or on the the case design so it is an ITX case supporting a slim optical drive although for most people buying a a case like this you probably wouldn't even have a DVD drive it would just be set up once and then sit there forever it has an integrated power supply oh thumb screws for more convenience assembly and it has a 60 mm cooling fan so this is space saving that's their whole pitch by replacing the monitor stand with a computer I'll buy that okay so here's the overall specifications of the case it's made of ABS plastic on the front bezel it's available in Black it's weighs 4 kg um okay 1 3 and 1 12 in internal drive and then you've got two USB 2.0 ports on the front as well as one HD audio setup so I don't think this is sealed cuz it's like a it's a sample product so it's not really this isn't exactly how it'll come at retail but I believe this one also has a motherboard inside that I'm supposed to have a look at as well so we're just going to we're just going to kind of go and find out what happens here we'll have this adventure together so I'm going to take out the cardboard thing oh it's falling apart okay excellent so here is the uh the Vasa Mount so this sits up at the end of the ARM which is here oh this is kind of cool so the case by default doesn't actually like you're not required to have the uh the mounting ARM on it that's just an optional accessory that it looks like um where does this attach okay this is kind of smart so we got the case here all right so let's put the case aside for now I guess and let's have a look at sort of the accessory Focus first so here we've got a manual which may or may not be a a final manual because like I I said this is uh sample Hardware so here we go so they give us a little introduction to the the case structure itself so here's your hinge cable cord management okay we already covered most of this and then they give you oh they give you a little installation guide so they show you how to remove the top cover install the motherboard install the hard drive and slim optical drive and then that's pretty much all that's involved because when you're putting in an ITX motherboard it'll have Onboard video onboard sound uh so you need to install the CPU and RAM on the motherboard and other than that it's pretty much grabbing go so then you install okay here's the installation of the LCD monitor to the case you connect the hinge onto the chassis and then Mount the monitor before adjusting the angle of the hinge so let me see the back of the case is over here so these two thumb screws right here come out and then that is where you actually attach the Hing ARM so it slides into oh here cameraman look up here so it slides into place at the front and then you could also use um there you go Clips right in you could also use like some kind of security screws at the back you could replace the default ones and then you could make it so that your employees or customers can't remove the I'm not actually going to put this in now cuz I want to open up the case but you could make it so that they can't remove the motherboard from or the uh the monitor from the case so that's kind of cool and then Gigabyte has also included a motherboard inside for us to have a look at here so let's take the case apart we can have a look at the internals so the top is all ventilation which is kind of cool because that means if you're using a fan it's actually going to have somewhere to pull air from and then on this side which side ah on this side right here we've got the vent holes for the 60 mm fan that it comes installed in the case so that's pretty useful as well there we go why don't we have a look at the power supply no you know what let's take a closer look at the case first I'm sorry okay so here's the front of the case it's a it's a glossy plastic there's your power button there's your slim optical drive and then you got your front panel connectors it has kind of a it's plastic but you know what it actually looks pretty nice in person it feels not bad it's not that kind of plasticky like this is horrible sort of feel so then we go around to the side this is obviously a y loon fan just like yeah it says y loon Electronics right on it and then yeah it's all steel construction I'm missing an IO plate I already knew about that just because this is a a sample board so it's not 100% retail Hardware they might not even have the io plate yet in the power supply that is a tiny fan so this is using like a special small form factor style power supply and we'll have a look at the power supply next here's the bottom nothing interesting there we'll have a look at the power supply next to find out just what's going on with it so it is a 160 wat power supply which is okay 10 amps on the 12vt rail and then the 5 combined are 61 Watts so 10 amps I'm going to do the quick math time 12 is about it can do about 120 watts on the 12vt rail alone okay so something to remember now inside this motherboard is actually fairly high-end this is an LGA 1156 Mini ITX motherboard but even if you're using a high-powered CPU and you got like a couple sticks of RAM and all that good stuff even if you're doing that a power supply like this is still okay because a lot of the power that gets used up by bigger boards is all the extra stuff that's built onto them so where you might need a 300 wat power supply for an ATX board you might get away with a 150 W power supply if you're using the same CPU in a mini ITX board it's just a different platform and everything is optimized for low power consumption so let's have a look at the overall layout of this board itself you can see obviously it integrates very very well into this particular chassis where you can mount your slim Optical here and then your hard drive goes in this cage which removes by these screws on the bottom here so that's where your hard drive goes that's where your optical drive goes that was simple very cool okay so then let's have a look at the layout of this motherboard I'm just going to go ahead and unplug it so that uh we can have a better look here this is very cool though Mini ITX LGA 1156 board there are a couple on the market but this is obviously gigabytes offering it's an h55 board so the part number is the ga H5 5 n USB 3 as I said a few times it's got support for LGA 1156 CPUs so that means core i3s Core i5 and I guess you could put a core i7 on it although it's not really recommended with most ITX boards due to heat output considerations I mean look at this case as well as power considerations because what are you doing buying an ITX board if you're trying to use high power components it doesn't make good sense so then you've got also this is cool a PCI Express 16x connector so while this motherboard with the h55 chipset does feature Onboard video you could also take it and put it in something like that Silverstone case that accepts a ful length graphics card and you could install a fulllength graphics card in this as well very cool for a motherboard that's basically like the size of a a hand okay so you got your four pin connector uh I guess right where it belongs in the normal configuration but the a lot of the other stuff is pretty weird so while on an ATX board your CPU socket would be kind of here and then North Bridge here and a South Bridge sort of here this board just has the one chipset up above the CPU socket here I'm going to orient this the way it would normally be so the top of the io Shield is here then you've got your SATA two ports up at the top you've got your front panel ports as well as your USB 2.0 headers up at the top of the board and then your 24 pin power rather than being along the right hand Edge is actually up at the top of the board dual Channel DDR3 is supported by this motherboard and that pretty much does it for the onboard features because you know like I said it's a very very small very compact board very cool so let's go around to the back and have a look at what we have for onboard connectivity we've got a built-in PS2 combo Port so you can use a mouse or a keyboard there you've got 1 2 3 4 USB 2.0 ports and uh then you've got VGA DVI and HDMI output as well as uh digital audio out that's optical digital and then here this is what is this that's neat hm I don't know what that is it looks like a USB port but it's it's the color of their uh it's the typical color of their ESAT ports but I'm looking at the uh the connection fingers inside you know what I'm sorry that's an eSATA Port wow that was a blonde moment for me eSATA then we have two USB 3.0 ports 1 GB Ethernet and then 7.1 audio so thank you for checking out my combined unboxing of the h55 and USB 3 as well as the Men in Black t314"}
