That's great. That's what building computers IS ALL ABOUT. GOOD THING WE DON'T HAVE TO SEND THIS BACK. NICE. NICE. That's right. We've got the Doom the Dark Ages limited edition computer. And the nicest thing is, if you do buy the case from Haven, it's just the Haven 420. However, if you buy this specific limited edition case, you will get a couple of things that are different from the normal builds. Oh, man. How do I get this out of this? It's a 360 mil AIO, and it's also just a lot of high-end components, so it's like really heavy. Um, but you can still do this. Yeah. All right. I actually do really like that even just the Haven HS420 has this really cool uh Doom design on it. So, it's not like some, you know, \"Oh, I'm buying the HS420, and then it's the Doom one.\" It's like, \"No, even your box has the cool Doom stuff on it.\" I've also been playing Doom since the '90s, uh probably before I should have been, to be clear. I was just a wee a wee lad. Um, but I've been a big fan ever since. I'm not sure if you'll be able to buy this by the time the video comes out, but as of time of filming, there are some left available, but they're all at Micro Center. So, if you do want this case, I guess you're going to Micro Center. This is one green lean machine, and I'm going to flip it over. That's one part, and then the other Oh, it's going to go right on my head. There we go. This also might be a bit of a hot take, but I love Doom 3. I liked how scary it was. I just love how easy it is to take the top off, so that you can just like see that we've got a nice 360 mil AIO up here. Oh, there's a bunch of stuff in I haven't even seen the insides yet. Okay, let's get uh let's get these out. I'm pretty sure you got to take this top part off. Oh, yeah. Is there a peel or anything? No, no internal peel. Looks a little 3D printed on the top here, but you know, that's actually pretty easy to fix on your own if you really care about seeing some layer lines. Let me get this out of out of the way. We have an AIO already pre-installed, but if you do ever upgrade this with like a big reservoir or something, cuz you do your own custom loop, which would look pretty cool, cuz you can put some red water in there, make it look like blood, whatever. Um, but it'll slot right on top here, reservoir, like this. But, if you don't have that, and you've just got the same computer we do, it's magnetic. So, you can kind of stick it like just about anywhere, cuz all these parts are metal. It'll go there for now. And also, I completely neglected all this other stuff, like you've got this other like cool Doom imagery. It's all spooky hell stuff. I don't know if this is Latin or not, but kind of looks weird. So, that's super cool. Oh my god, even around the fans? Oh, and then down here it says, \"Haven 420 limited edition Doom PC number one.\" Did you know they gave us the first one? >> No. We got number [music] one. We are number one. From the logo on the back to the custom uh top IO cover to like the red cables to all the random Doom script here, and like the neat just color match on the fan, and this has got to be probably one of the coolest themed PCs that I've ever opened. I haven't opened a lot of them, but uh this is my favorite. You guys haven't even seen the back of this thing yet. It still looks so cool from the front. Oh my god, move again. There is, in fact, an RTX 5090 and a 9950X3D, along with 64 gigs of DDR5 running at, I think, 6,000 mega transfers per second. So, pretty top of the line. And then we've got a 2 terabyte Gen 4 or Gen 5 NVMe drive. Either way, plenty fast for gaming. But, as you can see, the red cabling has continued along the back here. And I just I don't know, I love the style of this case. And I love how the power supply like doesn't take up a giant chunk of space in the bottom like it does, but It's apparently 72 lb. 72 lb? My god. Oh, man. I don't know if it's the case or the water or what, but 72 lb is a lot. Uh you saw us struggle earlier. If you buy this computer, uh maybe look for help in setting it up. Even if you're very alone, hire someone on TaskRabbit to come by and give you a hand. There's no shame in that, you know, everyone needs help sometimes. Um, but yeah, like even the top with like the power button and the cool uh I think the leather strap is always there, but like it really fits with all this. And then the custom green uh color, you know, the classic Doom green for Doom guy. Man, I just I love this thing. I got so excited that I actually forgot that there was uh some extras included. These are probably power supply cables. Um, it has a 1250 W 80 plus gold power supply, by the way. So, even with the high-end components, it should be totally fine. Uh so, this looks like Yep, extra power supply cables. Probably all of them, because it looks like they got replaced by something from uh third-party vendor. We've got a nice C13 power cable. Maingear sticker. We've also got instructions for our CPU cooler, it looks like. Wait, what's this? So, with a lot of AMD boards, this was common on AM4 as well. Um, when you put a new cooler on, you actually have to remove the stock hardware. And so, they've given that to us, because if you have to RMA this, I mean, you probably go back through Maingear, but I don't know, they probably want it. I wonder if the socket cover We've got uh all of the extra cables that come in our motherboard box, like our SATA data cables, uh keycap. PG, that's from Hasrock. Some RGB cables. And uh what else? This is a little Oh, it's like a power switch, but it goes to an antenna? I'm not sure. LVPE4 collision de plastique. That's not what that's for. Wi-Fi. We're probably going to go wired directly to Ethernet, but I'm going to plug these in and attach them just in case. But, enough about cables. So, we're going to adjust that for the future. Not for this video, but this is our new set PC. So, absolutely in the future. First thing I'm going to do is make sure XMP is on. It's from Maingear, so of course, it's set. They've also enabled rebar right out of the box, which I mean, I think most motherboards just kind of do that these days on their own, but hey, it's nice to know that they didn't disable it, and um that's where some of your performance is going to come from. So, you want to make sure that everything's configured. All right, we're playing Doom the Dark Ages on our Doom the Dark Ages computer from Main Gear and I've got everything set to ultra nightmare except for path tracing and we've got DLSS set to quality. I personally won't go lower than quality. Yeah, we're getting easy 140 120, 31% lows. Like this plays great. But let's, you know, some of you don't like DLSS even at quality. So, let's turn it off and see what we get at native 4K. Okay, now we're native using I think TAA was the only option which I don't like TAA, but you know, you can probably use DLAA instead of DLSS and that's fine. But without upscaling, we're looking at like still 90 frames per second average. 1% is only in the 84, 85, like 88 range. Um so, yeah. The truth is, if you spend a lot of money on your computer, it's going to do just about whatever you want it to do when it comes to gaming, especially in a really well-optimized game using id Tech.
